In a world where only Magicians present with sexual designations, Alphas Margo Hanson and Eliot Waugh had two main rules: no omegas and no undesignated first years.
Obviously, they had a third rule. But it didn't need reiterating: Margo and Eliot came first. They were a unit.
They keep their habit of seducing first year Brakebills boys to presented Betas and Alphas and outside of their own dynamic the duo don't really have friends.
When first-year Quentin Coldwater shows up all doe-eyed, Eliot is surprised when he worms his way under his skin and Margo can barely admit that she can't get him out of her head. Quentin is mostly oblivious, as usual.
What happens when Margo and Eliot get to know Quentin while waiting for him to present?
