"I see, guess it's mine now," Chuckling, he slid the coin into his shirt then sat across Gioia, "Hypothetical question, but let's say you found a suitcase of one hundred thousand lire - what do you do with it? Turn it in?"
Gioia looked at him as if he were crazy, letting out a slow laugh, "Are you kidding? No way, it's mine now."
"My, well aren't you honest?" The man's eyes suddenly hardened, giving Gioia a dangerous look, "Now, what if I was a cop all along and I saw you take it?"
Gioia's smile faded. She brought her knee to her chest, lifting her skirt ever so slightly - the man looked away immediately, "If that's the case, I'll split the cash and have you look the other way.." Gioia looked around, "Probably." She shrugged.
The man burst out into laughter, "Wow, that's great! And I'm sure that's what you'd actually do. You see, I have this knack for knowing when someone is lying or not," He began rubbing his cheek, "Did you know that your skin gets shiny when you sweat? Though, I think I'd be more certain if I got a taste." The man said, licking his lips.
