Nico just came from the dining pavilion and was about to head to his cabin. Now, why was he passing the side of the Apollo cabin? Well, he doesn’t know. It certainly wasn’t because of a certain head medic, nope, totally not. When he passed the window though, there he saw him. Nico signed at the sight:
You're on the phone with your girlfriend, she's upset
She's going off about something that you said
Will seemed to be in an Iris message with Drew. Nico can’t really hear anything but based on his actions, Will seemed stressed, and Drew seemed agitated. Once they were finished Will buried his head in his hands while sitting on his bed. Nico was about to walk away, but to his surprise, he felt sorry for Will and so he knocked at the window gently. Will heard then smiled at him. Will walked towards the window as Nico sang quietly:
'Cause she doesn't get your humor like I do
Once Will opened it, Nico had to tiptoe, “Umm, you okay?”
Will nodded, “Just tired of drama.”
Nico rubbed the back of his neck, he didn’t expect Will to admit it, “I’m sorry?”
Will nodded, “Thanks Nico.”
A thought then passed Nico's mind, I like you. Before he could say it though, Will already closed the window and was back sitting in his bed. Nico sighed then walked towards his own cabin. On his way, he was singing in his head:
I'm in the room, it's a typical Tuesday night
I'm listening to the kind of music she doesn't like
And she'll never know your story like I do
He grabbed the MP3 his dad gave him, he made sure the door was locked and that no one was passing outside. He looked for the song he was looking for then began to dance and sing with it:
But she wears short skirts
I wear T-shirts
She's Cheer Captain, and I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time
What Nico didn’t know was that a certain son of Apollo felt guilty for closing the windows at him, and so Will followed after awhile. He did plan to knock on the door but then he heard some singing and so he checked the window of the Hades cabin and smiled at the sight of Nico’s singing and dancing.

When Nico plopped down on his bed, Will thought about how cute Nico was. He then stepped back from the window, not wanting to disturb the son of Hades and also afraid of being caught watching.

Nico was sitting on top of Half-Blood Hill to get some fresh air, when Will came out of the infirmary, spotted him then sat beside him:
Walk in the streets with you in your worn-out jeans
I can't help thinking this is how it ought to be
Laughing on a park bench thinking to myself
Hey, isn't this easy?
Will was wearing his Camp shirt with his usual flannel shirt, jeans, and flip-flops. He smiled at Nico, then Nico felt the skeletal butterflies fluttering inside of him.
When Will sat down beside him he started to talk about random things like how boring the infirmary was today, and some pranks the Stolls are planning to pull, and much more that Nico wasn’t paying attention to because he was so distracted at how easy-going Will looked today compared to last night.
And you've got a smile
That can light up this whole town
The sun’s light bounced off his hair, and his blue eyes sparkled through it, not to mention how cute his freckles made him. The best feature though was his smile, it was so bright that it parallels the sun itself. He snapped out at his thoughts when Will stopped talking because Drew came walking up the hill from the outside border. Nico sighed:
I haven't seen it in a while
Since she brought you down
You say you're fine, I know you better than that
Hey, what you doing with a girl like that?
Will met Drew halfway as he said, “Hey there, what are you doing in camp?”
Drew rolled his eyes, “To support you, of course, you have that Lava Wall climbing competition tonight, right?”
Will blushed, “Oh thanks babe, that’s so sweet of you.”
Drew looked at Nico with disgust before facing Will again, “Anything for you, honey.” He then kissed Will.
She wears high heels
I wear sneakers
She's Cheer Captain, and I'm on the bleachers
Dreaming about the day when you wake up and find
That what you're looking for has been here the whole time
Drew hugged Will then gave Nico a smug look, Nico just rolled his eyes as he looked away. Drew then held Will’s hand, “I’m hungry, join me at the pavilion?”
Will nodded then let Drew pull him away. Nico can’t help but let out another sigh.

It was the night of his lava wall climbing competition and Nico decided to watch.

He immediately spotted Will at the bottom of the wall with several Ares, Apollo, Hermes, Hephaestus, and Athena kids. As the game began, Will caught Nico’s gaze then smiled at him before finally starting. Nico spotted Drew cheering for Will with some Aphrodite kids from the side.

Nico then noticed how Drew started to eye a son of Ares that almost made Will fall halfway through. In the end, Will one and the whole Apollo cabin with Nico started to cheer. Once Will got down tough, Drew seemed to be flirting with the said Ares kid. Will seemed to be angry but Drew shrugged it off and Nico saw Will run back to his cabin.
This was supposed to be followed by a dance prepared by the Aphrodite kids to celebrate the winner, so Will really has no choice but to attend it. Before Nico could even think about it, he ran towards the Apollo cabin window. He saw Will dressed but he looked sad, he didn’t have his usual sunny aura, and so again without thinking he knocked at the window:

Will smiled at him as he opened the window, “You coming tonight?”
Nico sighed, “No, I rather train.”
Will snorted at this, “This late?”
Nico blushed, “Yeah, just came to check if you’re alright.”
Will sighed as he ran his hand through his hair, “I’ll be. I hope you were coming though, it would definitely help me, you know, be calmer.”
Nico chuckled, “Sorry.”
Will nodded in understanding, “I’ll go now.” He then closed the window, and Nico walked back to his cabin. A thought suddenly occurred to him, I still like him. He was gonna regret this but he went and looked for the tuxedo his father gave him. It was black with gold seams at the collar. He wore it together with a bow tie then went to the Dining Hall where the dance was happening.

Nico was walking, looking for Will. Everyone was staring at him but he didn’t care. That’s when he spotted Will in his blue and white formal wear. Will smiled at him then began walking towards him.

Will was stopped by Drew, as she put her arm around him, but Will only pushed her away, while still looking at Nico. Drew looked outraged, as she watched Will walk away from her. Will was in front of Nico, they held each other’s gaze before Will blurted out, “I’m bi, and I could like guys.”

Will was blushing so badly, and so was Nico. Nico then chuckled, “Well that’s good.”
Will smirked at him, “And why is that?”
Before Nico could even stop himself, he said, “Because I like you.”
Will blushed then his expression softened, “Well lucky you because I like you too.”
It was Nico’s turn to blush. The two then got closer as Nico wrapped his arms around Will’s shoulder, while Will had his around Nico’s waist. The two began dancing, and Nico can’t help but smile when he saw Drew walk away from the corner of his eyes.
Nico met Will’s gaze and he knew, this was right. It’s just how it was supposed to be.
