   Summary

   Jamie Fraser offered his body to John Grey just before Jamie departed from Helwater. His reasons are a bit mysterious: it could not have just been "payment" for looking after Jamie's illegitimate child, since John had already promised to do so regardless.
   This story explores what led Jamie to make his proposition to John, based on clues in the books and the series. It is (thus far) canon-compliant and (thus far) clean, but that may change.
   This was the first fanfic I'd ever written when I started it a few years ago. I am now picking it back up again after having read and experimented more. Thanks for waiting to those who began reading long ago.
