Summary
Betty Cooper never would have thought in a million years that she’d be having this conversation, but this was Riverdale and nothing surprised her anymore.
“Kevin, I’m happy for you. Really. But it’s just weird to me.”
Kevin rolled his eyes at her as he slung his arm around the beautiful tanned man to his right. “I’m telling you, it’s great. He’s gorgeous and he’s always there to listen to me.” He leaned forward and whispered, “And the sex is electric. Literally.”
Betty shuddered and shoved Kevin backwards with her free hand while she took another gulp of her drink. He was laughing when the man beside him spoke up.
“I am programmed to be all the things one looks for in a boyfriend. Kevin makes me very happy and I want to make Kevin happy.”
The man gave her a dazzling smile that was a sharp contrast against his dark features. Regardless of how well he spoke, and how human he looked, he was essentially a computer in a skin suit. An Android created for love and companionship. And now her best friend's “boyfriend.”
