Summary
Zuko likes the sun, which is normal for firebenders. That's where they draw their power, therefore the connection seems obvious. He, like everyone else in his family, rises with the sun. He's seen his uncle meditate outside on warm sunny mornings, positioned to face the rising sun. Zuko and Lu ten used to lay outside on the grass together for hours. He sits with his mother outside by the pond feeding the turtleducks under the beating rays.
Zuko knows liking the sun is natural, but he knows it's not natural to spend a whole day out in the garden and not feel a smidge of hunger, not a single rumble in his stomach, even though he accidentally skipped every meal of the day.
