"So you guys need help finding your flying bison I can help with that." Stated Jet
"We've seen what you helping looks like." Katara said glaring at Jet
"That was in the past give me another chance and besides Ba Sing Se is a really big city you guys could really use all the help you can get." He pleaded
"What and your help is going to make all the different?!" Exclaimed Katara
"Wait lets at least try" replies Aang
"Great and it's not going to be just me I know some other people who could help us. One of them works in a tea shop with his uncle not to far from here." Jet said eagerly
"Hey Lee." Zuko heard Jet say as he came into the tea shop as behind a group of very familiar people followed along behind him as the room became somewhat tense while they quickly realized who each other are.
"Um Jet how did you and Lee meet each other exactly?" asked Katara. Zuko was trying to remain calm or at the very least look it as his heart beating so hard as well as his hands were sweating.
"We meet each other on a ferry from Full Moon Bay." Jet replied as he care-freely swinging his arm around Zuko.
"Well then Lee. This is Aang. The Avatar." Katara says slowly
“It’s a pleasure to meet you all.” Zuko replied carefully
“I think you mean it’s an honor?” Sokka smugly stated
"Also that's my brother Sokka, Toph and I'm Katara'" She Finished.
Zuko had felt never such fear and anger towards someone that was not his very own sister. "So did you guys want some tea?" he said hoping to change the subject.
"Well actually our reason for coming here was to ask you if you wanted to go on a mission." Stated Jet
"You know what tea would actually be pretty great right about now. What do you recommend?" Sokka said his voice filled with smug glee picking out a table
Trying his best to remember the breathing techniques uncle Iroh tried to teach him to calm him "The Jasmine tea is quite popular."
"Sounds great!" Aang said joyfully taking a seat at the table as everyone followed.
Zuko quickly went to the back to tell his uncle to make the tea. OK maybe if he just goes along with it will be fine. Just go on with being Lee the Avatar and his friends were some what willing to go do what ever. Who was he kidding that was not going happen with all the fights they have had. He brought back the tea for them and was laying out the cups when someone finally someone spoke again.
"So I guess now is a good a time as any to bring up why we came here in the first place." Mentioned Jet. "You see they had this flying bison that got stolen and is somewhere in Ba Sing Se. You want to help?"
"Yeah Lee you do seem like the type who is good at finding things." Sokka smugly stated.
On one hand helping them out could put him in there good graces since it is not like getting the Avatar is going to help him or get him anything anymore. On the other hand with all passive aggressive conversation going on it might be a lose cause.
"Maybe when I get off work." Zuko said calmly. OK so this is what his life has apparently come to.
"So I guess we will come around to pick you after hours. Also the Jasmine tea was great." Toph said while she punched his arm.
They after they paid for the tea and everyone left. He continued to work the tables until it was closing time where he went to his uncle and told him what happen. Wanting to know what he would think.
"So now what?" He asked his uncle as he was always full of wisdom and guidance and what they say for this grand situation he had gotten himself him this time.
"Well seeing as you said you'd help them and they already know you are here you might as well go and fulfill your promise and help them find that bison." Uncle Iroh said camly.
Looking at the door he took a deep breath in and out. He went out and saw that they were out waiting for him. Some of them looked more welcoming then others -the Avatar as well as Jet namely looked more happy then Katara- but were waiting for him anyways.
"Alright guys now that Lee is here lets start." Jet said going to lead the way.
"Yeah lets go" Aang said following Jet
Well lets just see how this goes Zuko thought to himself.
