The bedroom of Devil Venerable Wen Renhe, the sect leader of the famous Xuanyuan Demonic Sect, was closed for 3 days and 3 nights. The Venerable entered the closed-door after he received a mysterious book that appeared out of nowhere on his lap during the meeting with other Altar Masters of Xuanyuan Sect.
This scene somehow reminded the Altar Masters upon the similar incident 100 years ago when Mozun first received a Heavenly Book and became the turning point of their world later on.
What's different was, if 100 years ago, Yin Hanjiang, the Left Protector of the Venerable was left standing in front of the room, guarding his master day and night without rest. Today however, Yin Hanjiang who finally become the Cultivation Partner of Mozun himself and also the Vice Leader of Xuanyuan Sect, didn't stand in front of the door anymore, but stayed inside the room along with the Venerable.
In the bedroom.
Both Mozun Wen Renhe and Yin Hanjiang were facing quite a thick book, half as thick as the novel they got 100 years ago, the famous "Abusive Love Affair: You are the only one I will never change", starring the Brainless Female Lead willing to be abused over and over, Baili Qingmiao, and the Hypocrite Harem Master, He Wenchao. A book that lead to the turn over of Mozun Wen Renhe's world, where Wen Renhe was supposed to be used and died, but later using the help of the Heavenly Book with stupid title, finally Wen Renhe was able to flip the fate around.
Right now however, in front of them was a book titled, "The Founder of Diabolism (MoDaoZuShi)".
On the book cover was two man, one with a black attire adorned with some reds, and another man with a white robes wearing a moired forehead ribbon.
Further on the front page was a series of introduction to the book itself:

After the thrilling and "exhilarating" introduction, Wen Renhe flicked the pages onwards and found a series of another introduction:
Due to many dissatisfaction over the life full of Unfair treatment that the Protagonist lead,
Due to many dissatisfaction of the probabilities from Protagonist that might come but got cut off by the scum Villains,
Henceforth, the Jinjiang.ltd searched for a guide to lead the Protagonist to be a proper Laozu.
It was all started with the readers' petition towards Jinjiang.ltd, or a publishing company that was famous by its abbreviation, JJWX.
Apparently, the readers of the book created a petition that the Protagonist was treated too unfairly.
Compared to other successful, brilliant, powerful, rich, and awesome Protagonist of the same XianXia genre, the protagonist of MDZS, Wei Wuxian, was simply too impoverished...in many sense of the words.
If other protagonist got a praise when going down, and got a reward when going up, whenever the protagonist go, the Heavenly artifacts, rare medicines, rare beast, or abundant treasures would appear like mushrooms in rainy seasons, ready to be plucked by the protagonist,
Then, this protagonist of MDZS was the exact opposites: Getting a scold when going down, Being schemed and used when going up.
Don't mention about finding Heavenly artifacts , the only artifact Wei Wuxian owned was simply Self-made! Darn! What a cheapskate!
Forget about the plot where the protagonist found rare beast to be his pet, the only ancient beast Wei Wuxian encountered ended up in a situation of killing or being killed!
What about treasures?? Oh please...this protagonist of MDZS was simply buying a sprouting potato, and still dare to ask for a bargain! What a broke protagonist!
Lastly, don't mention about praises or glory. What Wei Wuxian had in his life was either scolding, slandering, or schemes from others!
However, those qualities alone were not enough to be the trigger for the readers to finally sent the petitions. After all, to secure a face-slapping effect, many protagonist needed to be abused in the childhood!---or so according to one of the famous writer, Airplane Shooting Towards The Sky along with his infamous protagonist with abused past, Luo Binghe of Proud Immortal Demon Way.
In this case, the trigger of public outrage was;
At some point of the story, the readers seemed to like the development of the Protagonist living in the Burial Mound, finding new family, occassionally meet the Love Interest, and creating many new inventions. The readers hoped to see the Protagonist to use his genius brain more and see him inventing more interesting devices. The readers hoped the Protagonist to interact more and step by step make a better living conditions with his new ragtag bunch of followers that could be considered as his new family.
Yet, the villains cruelly destroyed those peaceful days!
Unbelievable!
Unforgivable!
The protagonist was killed and his new-found family were also killed cruelly!
The readers were dumbfounded.
The readers went mad, it felt like they could go crazy over it.
The readers wanted to strangle the villains who disturb the Genius Inventor Peaceful days!
The outrage was like knowing someone had killed Newton when he hadn't finished completing the Gravity Formula,
Or like knowing someone had killed Galileo Galilei when he hadn't perfected the Telescopes.
Motherfucker!!!
The readers wanted to beat the Villains back to their 18th generations.
The readers decided to curse the Villains' reincarnation to always get Instant Noodles without the seasoning packages!

Let them taste the despairs when being hungry and wanted to get quick food with instant noodles...only to find there's no seasoning package inside!
Those kinds of resentment made the readers went pouring down in front of Jinjiang.ltd Company building and sent millions of petition.
We demand a fair treatment over our Protagonist!
...was the content of their petition.
Thenceforth, the Jinjiang.ltd tried to pacify the readers and assured them that Jinjiang would take care of it.......somehow.
In the end, the solution that the Board of Directors from Jinjiang.ltd came upon was: Let's give Wei Wuxian a proper guide!
Later, after screening the thousands protagonist in many worlds, apparently Devil Venerable Wen Renhe was the perfect Demonic Sect Leader, with wise mind, careful thoughts, profound knowledge, powerful cultivation, and successful career in his Demonic Sect.
Hoping that the successful Demonic Sect Leader, Mozun Wen Renhe to give insights and change the trajectory of Wei Wuxian's unfair death, for this reason the Jinjiang.ltd sent the copy of MDZS into Wen Renhe's hand.
Back to the scene with our Mozun, Wen Renhe, and his Left Protector-cum-Cultivation Partner, Yin Hanjiang.
After reading the 2 introduction of the book, Mozun Wen Renhe decided to read further.
The book was only around 500,000 words long. Don't underestimate our Mozun, even the kind of Brainless novel with 1,000,000 words long before was fully read and memorized by Mozun, and not only one book, Mozun still collected the 3 Volumes, with approximately 3,000,000 words in total. Therefore, this 500,000 words book was just a drop in the ocean of words Mozun had read before.
Reading the story, the once calm and collected expression of Mozun Wen Renhe started to wrinkle on the 30th chapters. On the 60th chapters his eyes were glued to the paper, and on the 100th chapters Mozun shook his head and let out a lamenting sigh.
Beside him, Yin Hanjiang who didn't show much expression upon reading the novel, furrowed his eyebrows deeply.
"Hanjiang, what's on your mind?" Wen Renhe asked him gently.
Yet, Yin Hanjiang stayed silent and refused to say anything.
Looking at his eyes full with complicated thoughts, Wen Renhe chuckled when seeing his Left Protector decided to press his mouth shut instead.
Smiling, Wen Renhe decided to comment on it himself, "Do you perhaps have any complaint towards the character Lan Wangji, here?"
Yin Hanjiang, "....No."
He looked down, took Wen Renhe's slender hands in his own and pressing it on his cheeks, his eyes were soft, full of silent gratitudes, "His position and mine are different."
Yin Hanjiang knew the reason why Wen Renhe immediately asked his opinion towards Lan Wangji in the book. He himself admitted that he shared some common grounds with Lan Wangji. Previously, Yin Hanjiang also secretly loved Wen Renhe while the object of his affection himself didn't know. They later also shared the same fates when their beloved died because of other people's greeds and stupidity.
What made them different was, Yin Hanjiang despite thinking that his secret love was unrequited towards Wen Renhe, he was still able to exact a bloody revenge upon those who caused the death of Wen Renhe. Yin Hanjiang alone strived to seek power, strived to kill every people who caused Wen Renhe's death.
Even so, his and Lan Wangji's position were different.
Yin Hanjiang was Wen Renhe's Left Protector, his guard, his direct subordinate, the most trusted confidant of the Demonic Sect Leader. Yin Hanjiang didn't have anyone in his life aside from Wen Renhe. He dedicated his life for Wen Renhe, willing to do and sacrifice anything for him.

Wen Renhe in his eyes was his deity. Exacting revenge upon Wen Renhe's death was easy for him, because Yin Hanjiang had nothing to care about left in the world.
On the other side, Lan Wangji had a lot of things left for him in the world, his family, his clan, and the adopted Lan Sizhui.
Unlike Yin Hanjiang, Lan Wangji did not grew up alone.
Unlike Yin Hanjiang, Lan Wangji's duties is not to be loyal and devoted upon Wei Wuxian.
Most importantly, unlike Yin Hanjiang who grew up and cultivated the blood-thirsty way of demonic cultivation, Lan Wangji grew up in a righteous sect completed with Buddhist teaching, that the act of bloody revenge was hard to materialize in his mind.

Yin Hanjiang blinked, "Oh?"

Being curious, Yin Hanjiang quickly skimmed through the books and read Wen Ning's scenes over again.
"Mozun....are you sure this person is similar to me? Isn't this person...a little bit too naive and painfully kind?"
Yin Hanjiang stared at Wen Renhe with a disbelief look, apparently shocked that he was said to have a resemblance with the Wen Ning's character in the book.
Laughing, Wen Renhe shook his head lamentably, "That's right. This Wei Wuxian, this Lan Wangji, this Wen Ning, are somehow similar to us, yet they are unbearably too kind. If it were me, I would never let those pretentious cultivators hiding under the banner of righteous way to walk all over this Lord."
Yin Hanjiang wanted to say, '...But, Mozun, even right now those old Bastards in the righteous sect are still grumbling and complaining about your domineering style secretly.'
However, thinking about it, those hypocrites indeed only dared to complain and grumbling behind their back, and had no guts to spit it out in the face of Wen Renhe, for fear they would be sent to drink Mengpo Soup in the next second.

Smiling sweetly, Yin Hanjiang narrowed his eyes, "If I heard someone dare to insult you or spouting nonsenses upon My Lord, I, this Yin Hanjiang will pluck their tongue and broke all of their teeths."
Before Wen Renhe said another words, suddenly a light surrounded his body, and a second later there was no trace of the Venerable inside the room.
