Summary
Mu Qing thinks about how Feng Xin’s hard knuckles had felt on his cheek, and tries desperately not to imagine what soft fingertips would feel like instead.
The punch he throws back feels like self defense, but not in the physical sense.
Their blows are so familiar at this point that Mu Qing thinks he could identify which fist is Feng Xin’s if he were to punch him in a lineup of ten people. He thinks Feng Xin could probably do the same for him.
The two know each other in violence, and only in violence.

Mu Qing gets stuck in a time loop that always starts over when Feng Xin dies. The only way out is getting the idiot to stop dying.

After a moment of awkward silence, Xie Lian strains a smile,
“Might I ask your names?”
The young boy speaks up for the both of them, seemingly recovered from his embarrassment,
“We are of the Lan Cultivation Sect. My name is Lan Yuan, courtesy Sizhui. This is Hanguang-jun.”
The title is clearly one Xie Lian is meant to recognize, so it is unfortunate then that the only ‘Lan’ he has ever heard of is some man named ‘Lan Wangji.’
As described by his husband, Lan Wangji was apparently a ‘pathetic man who made dumbass mistakes.’
Xie Lian doesn’t know how that knowledge is supposed to help him in this situation.

Summary

Summary
Chase hesitates for a long moment before raising his hand to the door. He knocks once, twice, and waits, unsure what emotion swirls in his chest.
For a moment it is simply quiet.
Then a thin, raspy, “Come in.” answers him.
Chase takes a calming breath, in and out. He pushes the door open and lets the soft wash of light carry him in.
The Queen is resting on her sickbed, surrounded by shadows, with only the light of a small lamp hanging above her head. It casts her in gentle spotlight, like a lantern sunk in a deep ocean. When she sees him, her eyes widen slightly and a small smile spreads across her lips.
“Hello darling.”

Spurred on by a sleepless night, Chase goes on a solo adventure into a book. It seems like the standard fairytale of a princess looking after her kingdom, but... Buddy is nowhere to found and family responsibilities soon start piling on the princess' shoulders.
