Summary
Megumi swiftly turned on his paws and leaped.
From peripheral vision, he caught the sight of shaded figures darting through the barks, the sound of rustling bushes and crunched leaves tailing closely. It’s quite a number but nothing precise enough. Must be no less than a group. With frightening realization, Megumi came to accept that he indeed was being chased.
What’s left from the previous discreteness was already thrown out of the window. Ultimately, though, it was their speed that gave it all away.
