Chapter Text
“Diluc and I are like brothers,” Kaeya said, he often made comments like this in front of Diluc to make him upset. However, this time it seemed… different, “Isn’t that right, Master Diluc?”
Diluc simply nodded, he didn’t find the need to use words. He was used to Kaeya doing these things, so it didn’t bother him as much.
“Big brother Kaeya! Big brother Diluc,” a small girl dressed in red reached out her arms, “Klee wants you to be brothers together! No being mean, okay? Klee likes it when her big brothers are happy!” Klee grinned, holding onto Kaeya’s leg.
“That’s right Diluc, Klee likes it when her big brothers are happy, so why don’t you smile more?” Kaeya teased, picking up Klee.
“Very funny, Kaeya,” Diluc sighed, letting out a small smile.
“Did big brother Diluc just smile?” Klee gasped, laughing and reaching out for Diluc.
Kaeya let out a soft chuckle, handing Klee to Diluc.
“I have to go now, I have some work to do. Klee, watch Diluc! Make sure he doesn’t do anything mean,” he joked, patting her head before walking away.
“Let’s bring you back to the Knights, Klee.” Diluc glared at Kaeya as he walked away, holding onto Klee tightly.
Diluc walked to the headquarters, holding Klee’s hand. It was a bonding moment, even if Diluc looked like he wasn’t having a lot of fun.
“Bye-bye, big brother Diluc,” Klee grinned, waving at Diluc as she left, “Say hi to big brother Kaeya when you can!”
Kaeya.
Kaeya Alberich, cavalry captain of the Knights of Favonius, the title Diluc once had at age 14.
Something about that title always made Diluc upset. After all, that’s when things started to go downhill.
