Chapter Text
“AND FUCKING STAY OUT, FREAK!” was the last thing he heard before being shoved down the steps from the front door onto the sidewalk, a bag full of his clothes following shortly after. Well, what the hell is he supposed to do now?
He doubts Hisashi, he refuses to call that man father after everything he’s done, is going to let him back in any time soon but fortunately, it’s May, he guesses something is going right. Shouta picked himself up off of the ground anyways and started ruffling through his bag before sighing.
At least the scumbag had the decency to give him his U.A uniform.
Shouta throws his backpack over his shoulders and starts to walk endlessly in the city. He doesn’t want to bother Hizashi to stay with him but he doesn’t necessarily want to go dumpster diving for food and he only has a limited amount of yen.
Walking into a cat cafe, he paid only ¥290 yen for a cup of coffee and then walked right back out. No matter how much he wanted a session with the cats, he could NOT waste his very limited yen. Alright, now that he has his coffee and can think a little bit more clearly, he needs to think of a plan.
The erasure quirk user looked around, the alleyway looked comfortable enough. He shuffled over to it, flopping beside a garbage can, out of sight. Luckily, he still had his phone for entertainment and he could survive on coffee and whatever cheap things he could buy at the convenience store, but he would need to get a job soon, on top of juggling homelessness and U.A’s hero course work.
Shouta winced, he would just have to try his best to complete the work in class so that he didn't have homework and then rush quickly and get money from a job.
The next day, Shouta headed over to the nearest gas station, where he picked out a jelly packet because they looked filling and cheap. Alright, he thought, time to search for a job.
Hours had passed and finally, he had luck. A job at another convenience store not too far away. Hours turned into days, which eventually turned into two months of the same routine, wake up, go to U.A, go to work, eat jelly packets and sleep in some alleyway.
Over the course of two months, his stamina had grown and he got closer with Hizashi and Oboro. At one point, he and Hizashi were walking to the blonde’s house, Oboro was staying home sick today.
“Hey Shouta?” Hizashi was avoiding eye contact, instead choosing to keep walking straight forward.
Shouta hummed in response.
“I-I need to tell you something.”
“Yeah?”
“I like you.”
Shouta stopped in his tracks, his heartbeat picking up before his face began to flush. There’s no way someone as cool as Hizashi could like him, right? Hizashi stopped walking now, checking over him in concern.
“SHO?? ARE YOU OKAY?? DID I BREAK YOU? I AM SO SORRY PLEASE FORGIVE M-”
“ALRIGHT! Shut up!”
Shouta looked at Hizashi, who stared right back at him.
“I like you too.” Shouta finally admitted, pressing a quick kiss to Hizashi’s cheek.
Hizashi blushed and gasped loudly, wrapping the boy in a tight hug.
“Soooo, can we date now?” the loud blonde grinned
Shouta rolled his eyes, nodding. After that event, they started to walk back to Hizashi’s house again.
After a bit of walking, they approached the front door, feeling light and cheerful in their own little ways, Hizashi slammed open the door and walked in with Shouta following behind.
“MA! DAD! I'M HOME! AND I BROUGHT SHO WITH ME!” the blonde screamed into the house, his older sister yelling a quick “SHUT THE FUCK UP, HIZASHI!” from her room.
Hizashi let out a loud laugh before dragging Shouta through the house to his room where they talked for a while, eventually, the voice quirk user brought up a topic Shouta cursed at himself for not hiding better.
“Hey, Shouta?”
“Yeah?” Hizashi looked at his hands, a frown settling on his face.
“So.. I didn’t know exactly how to bring this up, because I needed time to think it over.” Shouta raised an eye-brow, prompting the other boy to go on. “Are you living on the streets?”
The Erasure quirk user startled, letting out a noise of surprise. Hizashi formed a frown on his face.
“So you are.” Shouta could only nod his head, a sombre mood setting in, but the next moment, Hizashi looked up with a look of determination.
“You’re going to live with me.”
What.
