okay so um
To start, sorcerers (people with magic) don't age much when they're actively using their magic, so some people are like well over 100, don't question it they look and act young
Also, sorcerers aren't known by the mortal world. Mortals don't know they exist rly, so they stay under the radar and are like a "secret society" type deal. Some major countries have sanctuaries, which are like mini magic governments that make the magic people laws, like the Irish Sanctuary, the American Sanctuary, and some other ones
Another thing is that people have three names: Given name, (the one you're given by your parents) Taken name, (the name you choose so that nobody can use magic to order you around) and True name (super powerful, basically nobody ever knows their true name, its okay tho I'm not gonna use true name lore in this fic)
So basically what I'm saying is everyone chose their names. So what that means is that their names are genuinely Ranboo Beloved and Tubbo Underscore and Tommy Danger Innit and nobody can tell them no.
Moving on, now about the actual characters (this is a little less necessary to read, but it's helpful if u wanna understand powers and jobs and stuff)
If I put (minor) next to a character's name, they might only show up for like one chapter/sentence/not at all, I just lost control and accidentally added them into this au
Work for the sanctuary:
(372) Badboy Halo
- Grand Mage Halo
- Under influence of strange egg thingy (yep we draggin that thing in)
- Very No Bueno and very corrupted
- Necromancer (plays with shadows and stuff, uses an item for his magic, his item is an amulet
(59) Skeppy (minor)
- Idk but like he’s always around Grand Mage Halo nobody knows why he’s even here all he does is sit there looking depressed these days
- he doesn't have a power cuz he doesn't need one, its not relevant
(182) Ant
- Bbh’s right hand man
- Furry
- Elemental (so he can manipulate water, fire, and air, not earth cuz elementals cant do that in this world)
(319) Ponk (minor)
- Only recently got halfway hired
- Used to only talk to Sam, still talks to him a bunch but Bad is causing issues
(69) Wilbur
- Open Philza Minecraft supporter, detective
- Mans is literally feral, he’s like Skulduggery type vibes (meaning a silly, sassy, and terrifying man)
- Techno and Phil don’t love that he still works with the sanctuary
- Technically he doesn’t, he’s an arbiter (does detective work independently but slightly with the Sanctuary), but it’s still a bit too close for their taste
- He's a Sensitive, which means he has psychic type magic; he focuses on the illusions version of it
- He did get half his face blown off in a fight and now half of his face is a skull, but he normally wraps it up
- He leaves it uncovered when he's doing work cuz tommy thinks its cool and it scares some criminals
(306) Awesamdude (Sam)
- Runs the prison in Roarhaven
- Very much into rules
- Very much into Ponk
- uses symbols magic
(216) Captain Puffy
- Captain of the Roarhaven police
- Also a therapist on the side
- Its not the best therapy business
- Mother <3
- can make energy shields
(84) Niki Nihachu
- Sorta, shes a teacher at the magic school thing in Roarhaven
- necromancer (uses an earring to hold her magic)
(24) Fundy (minor)
- Trying to live up to Wilbur’s name, detective, also supports Philza but a little quieter about it
- aborkinetic, meaning he can talk to plants and make them grow
Wanted but not a villain:
(216) Technoblade
- Anti-sanctuary (anarchy pog) and well the grand mage didnt love that
- The people don’t exactly love him, because they think of him as a ruthless guy (like ppl did with Skulduggery) and dont approve of his methods
- The only reason people dont arrest him on sight is because of how close he is w Phil
- Adept kineticist, so he can absorb energy and then use that strength back on his enemies
(420) Philza Minecraft (I have no idea how it logically makes sense that his last name is Minecraft but oh well)
- Was asked to be Grand Mage and refused because he didn’t like government either, and after they tried to force him he and Techno decided “screw that” and left altogether
- A lot of ppl are supporters of Phil because of how respected he is in the community, it’ll take a lot to ruin his public image
- The current Grand Mage (Bad) is trying to make up a lie go make the people hate him
- adept, he has the ability to make his coat into wings and go fwoosh into the air (I made up this power special for him because he's Philza Minecraft and he deserves to be special)
Citizens:
(16) Tommy Danger Innit
- He follows Wilbur so very much, he basically works for the sanctuary
- an elemental, because he is IMMENSELY basic, its just how he is and we all know it, he's the slightly above average boy
(17) Tubbo Underscore
- When he goes with Tommy on mischief missions he brings explosives and I think that's very cash money of him
- he's an elemental too, at least that's the magic he's pursuing at the moment for school, but he's more interested in messing with mortal explosives
(17) Ranboo Beloved
- My beloved
- Very much scared that one day he’ll accidentally hurt everyone he loved because of his gist
- He does have memory issues, but it’s just a simple thing of him having short term memory loss
- Sometimes he’ll do the sleepwalk thing and start talking in some weird language but thats fine
- Probably
- has a gist, which is this monster animalistic version of him that comes out of his chest and just destroys everyone, but it's a last resort bc it will take you over completely if it's used too much
- he rarely ever uses it because it makes him feel awful to use, but he can hear its voice and its very Not Nice to him
(127) Foolish Gold (minor)
- Puffy’s biological son :D
- There is no father, Puffy is the father
- Anyway
- He is also related to Dream which is fun at holidays
- vitakinetic, so he can transfer life force between people
(70) Charlie Slimecicle (minor)
- Goopy boy, that is all, he is prob rly never even be featured in this fic I just think this idea is hilarious
(19) Jack Manifold
- Tommy and Tubbo’s mortal friend, lol a mortal what a loser get nae naed
- They mock him a lot
- When he first met Wilbur he was like “finally a responsible adult who won’t tear my pride apart” and then was instantly proven wrong
The Bad Guys:
(152) Dream Wastaken
- big baddie, probably wants to take over the world or smth idk
- Puffy’s son and Foolish’s brother
- neoteric, meaning he learned magic on his own and not the traditional way
- necromancer, but bc hes a neoteric he doesn't need an item for his shadows, and the shadows Ate His Face and so he wears the mask
(87) George Notfound
- just here to look pretty
- a sensitive and can do the mind control thing, but he's just such an idiot and I hate him (I don't I actually love his vibes here)
(121) Sapnap
- dream’s right hand man, bros from the beginning
- an elemental who’s put all his focus into the fire element, so he doesn’t get hurt by fire but he does by water (so just origins!jack)
(49) Karl Jacobs
- kinda just here to support his bros, the traumatized criminal that the heroes always try to ask “bro r u here against ur will” then he smacks them
- a sensitive so he sees the future and stuff, its tough on him and he has some Angst
(24) Quackity HQ
- The resident teleporter, chaotic little meow meow
- Why did meow meow autofill after I typed little that is so sad
- Anyway
- Um idk we're gonna have to just grow on his character later in the story
... then there's Mexican dream and girl dream... look idk they're just two shapeshifters that are also Dream stans and are very dumb but also very lovable, idk if they'll even be featured tbh but they MIGHT and that is very cool
maybe ill draw their designs later idk I love them tho, have patience w me idk what I'm doing at all
