Work Text:
Day 5 - Kissing
“I’m back!” The voice echoed from the front door, and Morisuke could hear shoes clunking off and feet padding in from the hallway.
He looked up from where he was sitting on the couch, bundled into a blanket with a book in one hand and a mug of coffee in the other.
It had been a lazy Saturday for him, but Lev’s job, being a bit more flexible with hours, also meant he occasionally got called into to work on the weekends.
So the towering alpha strode into the living room, loosening his tie as he came.
“Hey, how was work?” Morisuke asked, placing his mug down and moving to unwind himself from the blanket.
“You stay there! You look too comfy to move.” Lev said, a tease in his voice as he flopped onto the couch next to him.
He put his arm around his mate and rested his head on Morisuke’s auburn hair.
“You’d think people with degrees could figure out how to work a scanner.”
“They’re supposed to be graphic designers, right? Surely there was a class on that.”
“There was for me.”
Morisuke breathed a chuckle. “Hopefully, it wasn’t too annoying.”
“Nah, it was fine.” Lev hummed before lifting his head and turning his face down expectantly.
The kiss was so mundane, nothing much to think about. It was lovely in its simplicity. And over just a little too fast, perhaps, for Morisuke’s liking.
“I’m gonna take a shower. You wanna go out tonight?”
“Oh, fancy stuff.” Morisuke hummed before shutting his book. “We haven’t eaten out in a few weeks, so I guess we can splurge. Where you wanna go?”
Lev was already in the bedroom and unbuttoning his shirt. “Wherever you want! In the mood for anything?”
Morisuke pondered it as he stood up and trailed along into the bedroom, holding his cup of coffee up near his mouth. “Not really…”
“What about your favorite stir-fry place?”
Morisuke was treated to a wonderful view of his mate's muscled back as he slid his dress shirt off.
“Yes.”
Lev laughed. “You always want to go there. Just admit it.”
The omega set his mug of coffee on the table and crossed his arms. “I mean, I could go for just about anything.”
A set of emerald eyes glanced back at him, sparkling with mischief.
“Anything?”
Morisuke rolled his eyes and walked up to him. “Just hurry up and shower.”
“You’re no fun.” Lev fussed as he hung up his shirt and turned around again, leaning down to throw his arms around Morisuke’s middle and lift him up.
“Hey! This is the opposite of hurrying!”
“We’re in no hurry, though,” Lev replied before kissing him again.
This time it wasn’t a light peck like the usual ‘hello’ or ‘goodbye’ kiss. It was a bit deeper, and it lasted a little longer, and it certainly sent a happy little buzz down to the tips of the omegas toes.
His fingers snaked up into Lev’s hair, and he enjoyed the feeling of Lev holding him so tightly.
Morisuke could vividly remember his and Lev’s first kiss. It’d been horribly awkward. They’d kind of just pressed their lips together for half a second and been done. It had been so monumental at the moment, but it hadn’t been all that good.
Over the years, though, they’d had lots of practice.
To the point where these moments spent giving into each other, sandwiched somewhere around their regular days, were effortless.
Lev’s hand was snaking up the back of his sweatshirt, and when they finally broke apart, it was only by perhaps an inch.
His alphas eyes were hazy and dripping with affection. “Have I ever told you you’re beautiful?”
Morisuke groaned slightly in the back of his throat. “Ah, I dunno, I think you’ve mentioned it.”
“Good. Just checking.”
Morisuke laughed lightly again and loved how he saw Lev’s eyes light up further at the sound.
He then gave a gentle push backward. “As fun as this is, I’m actually starving.”
Lev pouted as he reluctantly put him down. “Yeah, me too…but y’know, I’m not working tomorrow.”
Morisuke rolled his eyes as he walked back to the table to collect his still steaming hot coffee.
“Don’t worry. Neither am I.”
They had an evening out at the stir-fry restaurant and then enjoyed a pleasant lazy Sunday in bed.
What they were up to, well, that’s left to the imagination.
