Summary:
“Lan Zhan,” he repeats, gentler, and slides his hands up Lan Wangji’s arms, tugs the edges of the leaf down over his ears. Lan Wangji cups his wrist, holds him there. Wei Ying’s smile slips into something sweeter, older. Lan Wangji has catalogued every smile that has crossed his face, keeps them tucked in his heart. Needed them there, during those years when they were all he had. When he thought he might not see them again.
