You just bought your favorite car in the world. A 2009 green Honda CR-V. You got it almost brand new with only about 10,000 miles on it from an older Honda dealership near you. You are so excited about it, you’ve already taken 3 joy rides in it and are about to take another one.
“What if we took, like, a really long car ride. Ooo, what if we took a road trip,” You say to Wanda and Natasha bouncing on your heels with a gigantic smile on your face.
“Oo Ooo we could go to Michigan, I read that they’re having a festival called Tulip Time,” Wanda says, starting to bounce with you. You both look over at Nat who is not bouncing but has a smile on her face from your guys adorableness.
“Please Nat,” You say.
“Pleaseeeeee,” Wanda says. You both give her puppy dog eyes with the lip. Natasha looks like she’s about to break, so you start to make your eyes water for more effect.
“Okay fine,” Natasha says with a huff although her smile hasn’t faded.
“Yesssss!!!” You and Wanda say high fiving each other.
“Let’s go pack,” Wanda says.
“Let’s leave today,” You say with a squeal. You and Wanda race back into the compound not seeing Natasha roll her eyes with a smile. You get to your room and you have to take a minute to catch your breath along with Wanda. Natasha walks in with a smirk.
“Once we get back we better go for a long run, gotta build up your stamina,” Natasha says.
“I guess - we - are never - coming back - then,” You say through pants. You finally catch your breath.
“Okay one big bag per person and one backpack. We got to pack light. We can get food on the way,” You say. You grab your big Under Armor duffle bag and your green North Face Jester Luxe backpack. For your backpack, which will be with you all the time, you put your your Nintendo Switch, Apple Macbook Air, your Airpod Pros, your olive green 40 oz Hydro Flask, chargers, a portable charger, your green JBL flip 5 speaker, Bunny, Burt's Bees vanilla bean chapstick, a deck of cards, your green columbia rain jacket, some colored markers and your sketchbook, your Vera Bradley zip ID lanyard with $50 cash and your debit card, and your Canon T7 camera. You tried to put the love blanket into your backpack, but it wouldn’t fit. Luckily your duffle bag is big enough to fit it and your clothes and other necessities. You put your favorite clothes in your duffle bag and your crocs and tennis shoes you’ll wear your birkenstocks in the car. You also grab some battery operated fairy lights to string on the top of your SUV. You are finished packing and bring all your stuff to the SUV. You are the first to finish packing so you sit in the back seat of your new green Honda CR-V hanging up the fairy lights on the ceiling while you wait for Wanda and Natasha to finish up. You are startled by the knock on your window. It’s Natasha.
“Are you going to open the door, or are you going on the road trip by yourself,” She says with a smile. You smile back at her and grab your keys unlocking the car and popping the trunk. Natasha puts her duffle bag in the back back with your duffle bag and her backpack in the back seat along with yours. You see Wanda coming out the compound with her bag and backpack.
“Wands, walk a little slower will you?” You tease her. To your surprise she does walk slower, really really slow. You whine and get out of the car. You run up to her and hold her by the waist. One. Two. Three.
“Huuuuuu,” You say as you struggle to lift her up. Natasha sees you struggle from the car and can’t help but burst into laughter.
“Am I really that heavy,” Wanda says with a mocking frown.
“Awww babe no, you’re not heavy at all it’s just your luggage,” You say with a quick peck to her lips making her smile at you. You two walk to the car and she puts her stuff along with where yours are.
“You ready to go baby?” Natasha asks.
“Wait!” You say.
“I need to grab a pillow for the car,” You say, opening the door.
“I’ll be right back!” You shout already racing back into the compound. You come back a few minutes later with Wanda’s sweatshirt on and your favorite pillow.
“Okay now I’m ready,” You say with a smile. Natasha in the driver's seat and you and Wanda are in the back. Natasha starts the car and drives out of the compound. She turns left out of the compound and follows google maps instructions. You are on a road trip.
