Work Text:
A child isn’t always seen in the middle of the night, running alone. But who cares about the looks people are giving her.
After going through hardcore trauma, and living with an unstable family
tonight it is.
I’m close..
The day she leaves all that behind
The fear , the screaming , the banging and demanding. forgetting it all and erasing it from her life, starting a new one.
There it is..!
No more hiding behind locked doors in fear.
It’s close
No more humiliation
JUST A COUPLE OF STEPS!!
And no more to being controlled like a puppet!!
And with the sound of her feet hitting the pavement at the end of the neighborhood...,
“ I did it.................I DID IT!!”
she sprinted like a dog without leash, panting like a wild thirsty animal. the relief of finally being far far from that dreaded place sinking in. happiness and adrenaline flooding her body and creating a warm but welcoming feeling in her stomach.
And as she entered the wild city streets , laughing at the people giving her looks.
she knew the limited clothes in her backpack, and the white/orang sushi looking kitty plush, squished between her arms, is all she needs.
And whatever adventure is thrown her way...
She’ll welcome it with open arms.
