The best places to get high are always the ones you feel the most comfortable in. Places you either know well or ones where you're surrounded by people you like.
Or person you like. That works too. Good thing Michael's house is all those things at the same time. His moms had never made it a habit to move around, so Jeremy can't really remember a time when Michael wasn't there. Or a time when he wasn't there with Michael. He feels welcome there, as his friend's moms like him a lot. Even if they didn't, he'd still be there just to see Michael.

Mi-chael.
It just sounds so nice. And it just keeps ringing in his head until his brown-skinned friend is passing him the long, pink bong again, Jeremy's fingers wrapping around it. "So yeah, it really is objectively wrong to say musicals are boring" Michael says and Jeremy just stares with absolutely no idea what they were talking about.
Staring at Michael.
Michael's eyes.
Michael's lips.
Michael's tongue.
He looks so perfect.
Michael.
Mich- "Yeah" Jeremy said. "Musicals. Right, musicals. You're right." Fuck, that was awkward. He takes another hit before embarassment kills him and his lungs are quickly filled with blissful smoke.
"I know, right? I have no idea how you could say I wasn't for full 4 minutes".
Silently, Jeremy hopes he wasn't staring at Michael for all those minutes.
The basement reeks of weed and the beanbag he's sitting on is worn but it's comfortable. It feels good.
