Work Text:
“Ren you can’t do that!” Goro says as he rushes over to stop Ren from doing his terrible mistake that could have the end product overly dry.
“I can’t do what?” he asks playfully as he hovers the unleveled cup of flour over the pancake mix.
The morning started with the two of them, well, more like one of them, wanting to make pancakes for breakfast. Ren insisted and now he’s not even following the recipe!
“It says: use 220g of flour!” Goro angrily points at the book.
“Yeah, a single cup is 220g.”
Ren is all smiles as Goro tries to grab the measuring and take it from him.
“It’s. Not. LEVELED.” he grits his teeth.
Ren always does this. He always tries to get under his skin. They’ve been married over a year now! If it’s flour being not leveled, it’s the bed not being made, it’s a random used coffee cup in the sink with coffee still in it, it’s always something. Goro didn’t mind living like that when he was a teenager, but now that he’s living and married to Ren, he decided that both of them couldn’t live like that together and that one of them (Goro), needed to start cleaning up after themselves.
“We need to weigh the flour, you damn idiot. I swear I should’ve killed you!”
“You can try, but you’ll fail again.” Ren chuckles.
Goro growls and snatches the cup from him, causing flour to go everywhere and the two of them on the floor, limbs tangled together with his husband on top. Flour coats Ren’s fluffy black hair, which looks more grey now if anything. Goro has a dusting of flour on his face, his hair, his black sleeping shirt. Flour is everywhere.
Yet, all Goro wants to do is kiss his stupid, idiotic husband. So he does. He pulls him down and kisses Ren, the taste of flour coating their tongues as they passionately kiss, grabbing at the dusty curls, hot and hungry.
A loud yowl bellows from the entrance from the kitchen, causing the two to separate quickly.
“I can’t keep my eyes off you two for five minutes! Yuck!” Morgana hisses. He jumps onto the counter, leaving a trail of pawprints, “can we please get back to making breakfast?”
Ren fetches a can of tuna and scoops out its contents onto a small plate and grabs Goro roughly by the wrist.
“Tuna!! Wait, I thought we were having pancakes.” Morgana munches happily on the tuna, “not that I’m complaining- wait where are you two going?”
Goro grins as Ren continues to tug him to the stairs, “We’ve decided to have breakfast in bed.”
