Work Text:

Osamu didn’t even want to be here, but Atsumu had gotten 3 tickets, so he’d be plain stupid to not come. He’s just lucky Suna got the third ticket and is here. This way he isn’t stuck with Atsumu for an hour and a half watching a volleyball match inside a building. Don’t get him wrong, Osamu loves volleyball, just not nearly as much as his brother. Every point the ‘better’ team gets Atsumu cheers so noisily, but Osamu figures that’s kind of the point of being here.

“Hey, ‘Samu?” Suna’s bored voice is incredibly quiet compared to the loud stadium they’re in, but Osamu hears it loud and clear. It’s impossible for him to not hear Suna.

“Yes, Suna?” Osamu says with a sickeningly sweet smile he only uses with Suna.

“I’m hungry.” Suna almost pouts.

Osamu considers this. “Y’know, me too. Wanna have ‘Tsumu get some?”

Suna leans back in his seat, burrowing further into the collar of his hoodie and nods. He obviously isn’t entertained with the game, but Osamu can’t really blame him. Both teams are playing it safe. There aren’t any risks being taken, nothing exciting going on. Unless some sort of super big twist or turn around happens it’s obvious who will win, and nobody likes an obvious winner.

“‘Tsumu! We’re hungry!” Osamu, unlike Suna, needs to yell to be heard. Atsumu is no doubt caught up in the game analyzing every play that each team is doing. What a weirdo.

“Then get food! I’m watchin’ the match!” Atsumu yells back, not looking away from the court.

“We don't wanna get up though,” Suna stated bluntly, his eyelids covering the top half of his eye made it look like he was about to fall asleep.

Atsumu sighs exasperatedly. “Then get yer boyfriend to get ya food!”

“But, I also don’t wanna get up,” Osamu makes direct eye contact with his twin, it’s a challenge, who will look away first. Atsumu loses.

He twists away so fast it’s a wonder how he stayed on his feet.

“Ugh! Fine!” Atsumu grumbles as he storms away. “I swear, so fuckin’ lazy. I’m not even hungry and I have to get the fuckin’ love birds food.”

Osamu wonders what got his panties in a twist. While he’s gone the game is still as boring as it was before when he was here. Both teams still aren’t taking any chances, which technically shouldn’t really be a deciding role because it’s still only the first half of the game. It’s the last half of the first half though. But, they’re still bored.

Osamu wonders how long it’ll take Atsumu to get the food. There might be a big long line that he’ll have to stand through. He distantly thinks of how much of a loser he is, but then immediately takes the thought back because Atsumu is getting him food, and he can never be ungrateful for the food giver. If he’s gone for very long he won’t miss much, just some more boring game, the kiss cam, and possibly some cheerleaders will also be out there.

“Hey, ‘Samu?” Suna asked, still talking quietly into the collar of his hoodie, and still being heard.

“Hey, Suna?” Osamu said copying Suna.

“What do you think ‘Tsumu’s gonna get us?” Suna looks at Osamu with a dull look.

“Better be somethin’ good, he’d just be plain stupid if he wasted his time getting somethin’ that tastes worse than dog shit.”

“Elegantly put,” Suna yawns and scratches his back in his seat mirroring a cat. His arms are stretched high above his head, and his hoodie rises to show the smallest sliver of his stomach, and it takes all of Osamu’s self control to not kiss it right there and now.

When Suna’s done stretching and back to slouching (and he wonders why he has back problems) with his head in his hand and his elbow on his knee.

Halftime got called and both teams went to the sidelines to discuss or make out or whatever they really wanted to. Osamu looks at the scoreboard and realizes it was 21 to 25 in favor of the team Atsumu was cheering for.

He looked up from the cheerleaders and what looked to be gymnasts on the court to the screens above the center of the stadium, the kiss cam was on. There’s a girl with light brown hair just long enough to cover her ears and a boy with matching light brown hair. It's kind of long for a boys’ haircut, but it looked so soft Osamu can only imagine what it felt like. It’s obvious they aren’t siblings though, because that would be weird. They’re entirely different races, and their face shapes are completely different. The girl throws herself at the man she’s with when she sees they’re on camera. Osamu's positive they’re dating, there’s no way they can’t be.

The screen cuts to a different couple and now Osamu and his partner are paying attention to the screen. They couple look like they hardly know each other, maybe they’re on a first date. The man quickly kisses the girls cheek, short but sweet, and they both have matching blushes when the camera cuts to, to-

Oh my god, Suna’s on the screen. Osamu’s on the screen. They’re on the screen. The kiss cam. The kiss cam.

They’re on the kiss cam.

Suna’s just staring at the screen, but once he realizes ‘oh my god I’m on the screen’ he hurriedly pulls his hood over his head and face. He’s gasping like he’s run a marathon while trying his best to hide his red face from a hundred thousand people.

Osamu reaches over to quietly and calmly ask if he can kiss Suna, it is a kiss cam after all.

“I, I don’t want my, my face to show,” He didn’t say no.

“That’s alright, I won't take off yer hood, that okay?” Osamu asks.

Suna nods and he takes either side of his hood and pulls it even more to cover up their mouths as they kiss. Suna’s warm to the touch as everyone around them cheers, and they hear a particularly loud yell from the entrance.

“What the hell!”

Atsumu.

He runs over almost dropping the hotdogs he got for Suna and Osamu.

“I leave you guys for maybe ten minutes and you make out in front of, of, of a lot of people!”

“I always knew you had a bad vocabulary, but it got even worse. And we weren’t making out,” Osamu quipped. "You were gone for longer than ten minutes."

“You idiot! We have the same face you asshole! People are gonna think that it was me who kissed him! Oh my god! I should’ve eaten you in the womb! You’re disgusting!”

Osamu and Suna just blinked at him. Luckily the camera cut to a different set of people, but that didn’t stop the attention from the people around them.

The people around them happened to be security.

“‘Samu! You fucking idiot!” Atsumu is basically laying on Suna trying to get to his brother while Suna has a half a hotdog in his hand and a soda in the other he’d gotten from Atsumu. The other half of the hotdog is shoved in his mouth.

“Excuse me, Excuse me!” The security man was standing right next to the outside seat, which happened to be Atsumu’s seat. Only his legs were in it though.

“Hey!” That got Atsumu’s attention. “I’m going to have to ask you three to leave the stadium,” He doesn’t even look angry, he just seems tired. Probably exhausted himself on the run to them. He didn’t really look like he went to the gym very often, or ever maybe.

Suna pushed Atsumu off of him onto the disgusting floor of the stadium and stood up, glad to get out of there. Samu, no longer being tackled by his more reckless brother, got up soon after Suna and followed him to the exit waiting for Atsumu to meet them.

Atsumu did not meet them soon, he came maybe ten minutes later grumbling something about how his stupid brother and his stupid boyfriend got him kicked out of a volleyball match.

(Osamu very much wanted to bring up that Atsumu was the one that got himself kicked out, but even he knew not to push it that far.)

Even worse, it was raining. A heavy rain. Not quite pelting, but close to it.

“Great ‘Samu look where you got us!” Atsumu started yelling, his hair matted onto his forehead from the rain despite only being out here for two minutes. “Now we’re gettin’ soaked!”

“Me? I got us into this?” Osamu is yelling just about as loud as his brother, his hair matching in the wet aspect. Osamu was smart enough to bring a jacket though.

“Yes! You and Suna! You were making out on the screen!?”

“It was a kiss cam! You kiss on the kiss cam!” Osamu really did get all the smarts from his mother. Poor Atsumu, it must be hard being so stupid. “And that wasn’t making out. I gave him a peck, and no one could see! His hood was covering it!”

“Guys!” That was Suna, Osamu had almost forgotten he was there. “We need to get home, in case you haven’t noticed, it’s raining!” He snarled.

Right, Suna didn’t like getting wet. He hated it.

“Come on, we’ll walk fast,” Osamu said as he held out his hand for Suna to hold. Suna pulled his hand out from the sleeve of his hoodie and took it without hesitation.

Suna and Osamu walked in front of Atsumu, they were walking like a triangle. The sky was gray because of the cumulonimbus clouds above their heads. Everyone was soaked as they all power walked down the sidewalk to the Miyas’ house. Suna didn’t seem to care where they went, he just wanted out of the rain, out of the water.

They didn’t make it to their house, but all three of them are under an awning in front of a grocery store. Suna had a permanent scowl on his face and his hair was plastered down onto the sides of his head. He was shaking even though he was in a hoodie, which was more clothing than the other two had on. If you ignore the fact that Osamu is also in the same predicament, it’s hilarious.

And adorable.

“Can we pl-please g-go insi-ide?” Suna’s teeth were chattering.

“No, I think we should just keep walking, it isn’t that far from our house,” Atsumu answered and started walking. He wasn’t shaking or shivering nearly as much as Suna.

Suna groans and starts walking. He’s slouched over and holding his arms in each other crossing them over his body, it’s like he’s curling in on himself while still trying to walk.

Until he isn’t walking anymore.

He slips and falls right into a puddle of water and instantly stops moving. He looks about 3 seconds away from trying to fight god. He’s belly up in water that covers his ears as he just lays there with an even deeper glower.

Osamu can hardly keep in his laughter.

He can’t.

“Haha! Oh m-my god Suna! Suna, Suna, are you oka-ay?” Osamu barks. He’s hunched over Suna with an arm stretched out to help him get out of the puddle.

Suna did the opposite. He took his hand and Osamu was all ready to pull him up, but Suna, the little shit, pulled him down into the puddle; half on him, half beside him.

They both laughed and they got soaked all the way through their clothes down to their boxers. Suna was probably laughing at how dumb his boyfriend looked, but Osamu was high on joy from hearing Suna laugh. It was a gorgeous sound. A rare sound, but magnificent nonetheless.

Osamu needed to kiss him.

He leaned his face closer to Suna’s and placed a hand on his cheek, turning his head to face him.

“Is this okay?” Osamu asks.

“There’s never a time when this isn’t okay,” Suna replied quickly. He gripped Osamu’s collar and pulled their faces together in a kiss.

When they pull apart they just look at each other with adoration in their faces.

“Kinda cliché kissing me in the rain, yeah?” Suna asks with his eyebrow raised.

There’s a loud ‘ahem’from beside the puddle and them Atsumu starts walking down the sidewalk again, shaking his head about how stupid in love his brother was.

His brother was stupid in love with Suna.

Suna squeezed Osamu’s hand, a silent question to get up and start heading home. Osamu nods with the dumbest in love smile on his face.
