Friday, the Kaspbrak-Tozier household
11:00 AM
Today is the day, Richie thought to themself. They were looking down at their phone, shipping details showing on the screen. Shipping details for a new binder to be specific. Richie smiles, their body vibrating with excitement as they stand at the window. They only had to wait a few more hours.
"Richie," Their boyfriend says, approaching them in the living room. "You've been standing there all morning," Eddie pouts, arms crossed against his chest.
"I can't miss it, Eds." Richie turns to glance at him, blue eyes shining.
Eddie's expression softens. He uncrosses his arms and then wraps Richie up in a hug from behind. "You won't miss it, Sweetheart, I promise."
Richie hesitates, their eyes going back towards the window. On one hand Richie knew Eddie was right. They had time, they had hours to go. But on another, they really wanted to stay here and wait in case something happens.
They let their shoulders drop. "Alright."
Eddie smiles into their back before pulling away. "Come relax with me. That'll take up some time."
Richie turns his back to the window, a small smile sprouting on their face. "Okay."
hours later...
"Eddie! Eddie! It's here!"
Richie holds up a brand new purple binder, expression resembling a puppy seeing a bone. Or , Eddie thought, a child on their birthday. "Great, Rich! You gonna try it on or what?"
"Yes!" They jump up and slide their t-shirt off their head. Then they take the new binder and slide it on. Richie smiles widely at their boyfriend once it's on.
Eddie looks on fondly before giving him a thumbs up and a smile. Fuck, he really loves them so much and seeing them so happy-
"Eds?" Eddie looks up at his lover with watery eyes.
"I love you so much, Rich," he says.
Richie adopts their own fond look. "I love you, too." Then they put a hand on their hip with one hand pointing at Eddie. "Now! Off to do some manly things!"
