Present Mic is the first victim to All Might and Midoriya’s shenanigans.
Aizawa is actually the first to suspect, seeing as All Might shows favoritism to Midoriya on the first day of classes. But he’s not the forward type, so Present Mic takes the lead for him.
“Hey, All Might!” He strides over to the gaunt man in the faculty offices. “Be honest. Are you Izuku Midoriya’s dad?”
All Might stares at the man, then his face contorts into anger.
“Are you calling me old?”
“...Huh? No, I was just wondering-”
“It’s incredibly rude to ask a colleague about their age. Didn’t you know that, Hizashi?”
“I wasn’t asking about your age, I was-”
“Don't bother,” All Might scoffs. He exits the room without so much as a goodbye, leaving a very confused Present Mic in his wake.
Shoto Todoroki is next up, and this time, it’s Izuku’s doing.
“Are you All Might’s secret love child or something?”
Izuku blinks once, then twice, then answers.
“Um, that’s a strange way to tell me you’re attracted to my mom.”
“I… Excuse me? ”
“I mean, that is what you’re saying, right? All Might has been voted Japan’s hottest bachelor for over twenty years, so if you’re suggesting that he had some sort of relationship with my mom, then you must think my mom is pretty attractive, too, right?”
“That’s really not-”
“Wait, when did you even meet my mom?”
Todoroki stares at Izuku. “Forget it,” he finally says, walking away.
Uraraka and Iida fall prey at the same time, and Izuku and All Might are in on it together.
After a Heroics class where All Might was particularly affectionate towards Izuku, his two friends stop him on the way out.
“Hey, this might be a strange question,” Uraraka starts, “but, um… Is All Might your… um…”
“What she means to say,” Iida chimes in, eager to get to the point, “Is that we were wondering if All Might is your dad?”
Izuku considers this for a second. “I think you have to know dad jokes to be a dad, and I’m not sure if I’ve ever heard All Might tell any.”
His friends stare at him. “Midoriya,” Iida says, “I don’t think that’s the criteria-”
Izuku cuts him off when All Might walks by.
“Hey, All Might! Do you know any dad jokes?”
“What’s a dad joke, young Midoriya?”
“Ah, nevermind. Thanks anyway, All Might! We’ll see you tomorrow.”
Their teacher waves, and as he leaves, Izuku gives his friends an apologetic look. “Sorry, you heard him. He doesn’t know any dad jokes, so I guess he’s not my dad.”
His two friends just shrug at each other as Izuku leaves them with no further explanation.
Aizawa finally succumbs to his curiosity, and later, he never regrets anything so much in his life.
“All Might, enough screwing around,” he says after he watches Midoriya leave the faculty lounge. “Is Midoriya your kid or what?”
All Might goes pale. “Aizawa… I’m pretty sure slavery is illegal.”
“Wh- What? ”
“You can’t just own a kid! That’s highly unethical to consider as a teacher, Aizawa. Do I need to bring this up at the next faculty meeting?”
Aizawa just stands there, mouth agape. All Might places a hand on the teacher’s shoulder before he leaves.
“Don’t worry, Aizawa. I won’t mention anything for now. But please, do some serious research into child labor laws.”
Aizawa briefly considers looking for a hidden camera after All Might leaves.
The last one Izuku gets in is pretty simple, but still pretty funny.
Shinso approaches him after class, face unreadable as always.
“It seems like you and All Might are pretty close,” he jabs. “Is he your dad or something?”
Izuku just cocks his head at him. “Is Mr. Aizawa your dad?”
“Uh… no? Why would you ask that?”
“Why are you asking me if All Might is my dad?”
Shinso gets his point. He briefly considers brainwashing Izuku just for the hell of it, but he’s blushing too much at being called out like that, so he just leaves well enough alone.
Class 1-A celebrates Christmas together with food, games, and of course, gifts. As they’re handing presents to each other, Izuku opens one of his and lets out a delighted squeal.
“This is amazing! It’s the limited edition All Might action figure from your debut!” He turns to All Might, who’s sitting next to him on the couch, and gives him a big hug.
“Thanks, Dad!” he cries entirely too loudly.
“You’re welcome, Son,” All Might says easily.
Class 1-A erupts.
“He is your dad!”
“I knew it!”
“I can’t believe you didn’t say anything before!”
All Might and Izuku Midoriya just stare at the rest of them, disbelieving.
“Did you really not know?” Izuku says to his classmates.
“I’m pretty sure we told everyone,” All Might adds.
Collective groans ring throughout the common room.
