Work Text:
Everyone always thought it was TK that couldn’t get enough snuggles in his life.
He was always the more touchy feely of the group, the one who always wanted a hug or needed a soft hand to hold, and he would snuggle up to virtually anyone on the couch, and yes, that even included Judd.
So everyone assumed that he was the one who hogged the blankets in bed and needed to be surrounded by warmth at night.
But everyone was incredibly wrong.
Because it wasn’t TK who stole all the blankets and woke up wrapped in a cocoon of warmth.
Nope, it was Carlos.
And the morning they all figured it out, it stunned them beyond belief.
They had all wound up spending the night at Carlos and TK’s place after a late night of snacking and playing video games and drinking.
Mateo had fallen asleep on the couch, face first and snoring softly.
Paul had settled onto the small pull out bed in the office, mumbling something about needing his space away from the younger man who talked in his sleep.
Nancy and Marjan had taken the guest bed, neither one of them batting an eyelash at Carlos’ warning to behave.
And then TK and Carlos had crawled into their own bed and made themselves comfortable under the blankets.
The pair had slept later than anyone else and they had all made their way toward the engaged couple’s room, Paul pushing the door open slowly as they all braced themselves to find the two in an uncompromising position on the other side.
But instead, what they found had them giggling.
TK was curled on his side facing the window, his body wrapped around itself, likely to try and keep itself warm, because not a single blanket or sheet covered him up.
And then there was Carlos, the man flat on his back, both blankets from the bed and the sheet wrapped around him tightly, almost as if he was a mummy.
“That’s so unfair.” Mateo whispered as he peered over Marjan’s shoulder. “TK’s gotta be freezing.”
“Ya know, I’m kinda shocked.” Nancy couldn’t help but add as Marjan offered her a raised eyebrow as she shifted her gaze from the sleeping couple before them to the other woman. “I figured TK was the blanket hog.”
“Right?” Paul was in agreement with the paramedic on this one, this was just weird.
“Should we cover TK up?” Marjan was concerned for her friend’s wellbeing at this point, especially knowing how cold it got in the house at night.
“I think you guys should leave us alone.” TK hissed out, causing the four friends at the door to jump in shock.
They all mumbled out an apology before quickly making themselves scarce, finding something to distract them all as they headed downstairs.
They had all walked in on some weird things in TK and Carlos’ bedroom before, but this, this definitely took the cake.
