Momo woke up to Jiro curled into herself and sobbing.
“Kyoka love wake up,” Momo sofly said as she shook Jiro awake. As Jiro shot up in bed, she looked around confused until Momo came into her field of vision. She quickly latched onto her as Momo wiped the fresh tears that pricked at Jiro’s eyes.
“Momo you're okay?” Jiro asked, sounding slightly shocked as Yaoyourozu returned the hug.
“Yeah I’m safe are you ok?” Momo asked as Jiro pulled away from the hug and faced her.
“I’m better now but I thought I was done with these nightmares,” Jiro said clearly exasperated.
“Do you want to talk about it?” Momo asked with a warmth that felt very welcoming to Jiro.
“Yeah I think that would be nice,” Jiro responded quickly, launching into a gruesome tale. Throughout the story and as it got more and more terrifying Momo provided reassurance to make sure Jiro knew this wasn’t real.
Once it was clear that Jiro was done Momo said, “Love it’s okay I’m okay I’m safe you’re safe and we are both completely ok.” That seemed to calm Jiro down and after a while she fell asleep on Momo's chest, Momo falling asleep soon after.
*The Next Day*
When Momo woke up Jiro was not beside her and she was worried until she heard music coming from the kitchen.
“Morning Kyoka,” Momo said as she entered the kitchen giving Jiro a kiss on her cheek.
“Morning Momo,” Jiro responded, still focused on the task at hand or breakfast.
After they sat down to eat Jiro said, “Thanks for last night I really needed that.”
“Of course Kyoka,” Momo responded, giving Jiro a soft smile. After that Momo called into both their agency’s so they could take the day off since it was clear they both needed it.
