Chapter Text
"Have a nice evening. Izuku will be just fine," Fuyumi assured Izuku's mother, Inko.
"I'm sure he will. Thank you for coming over- I know it's last minute but-"
"Mrs. Midoriya don't worry. I don't mind watching him. Your son's an angel."
"Inko, we really should get going, otherwise we won't be home in time to tuck Izuku in tonight," Hisashi Midoriya added with a warm and playful tone. "Call us, if there is any trouble alright?"
"Of course. Everything should be fine. Just dinner and some games. Doesn't that sound fun Izuku?"
"Uh huh!"
"Well... Alright. Thank you again for coming here tonight."
"It's no problem. Have fun you two!" Fuyumi added ushering them out the door. Hisashi took his wife's hand and led her down to start their date.
Fuyumi's smile stayed on her face as she looked down at Izuku.
"So Izuku, what do you want to do? We have some time before I need to start making dinner."
"I-I wanna play Heroes and Villains!" Izuku said excitedly.
"That sounds like fun. Do you have a costume you like to play it in?"
Izuku nodded his head aggressively.
"Why don't you go put it on?"
Izuku started off to get his All Might costume on. Fuyumi pulled out her phone. It was now or never.
She had made a deal with the devil, all she needed to do was send the message. It was for the best. It had to be. Sure it may be illegal, but it couldn't be wrong. If what she understood was right, then her dad was wrong. He was wrong and- and he was- her books described people like him as neglectful. Something that adults needed to recognize if they worked with kids if her interest in being a teacher was any indication.
"Never fear! For I am here!" Izuku called out as he ran down the hall dressed in his All Might onesie. Fuyumi giggled and snapped a picture of his smiling face, adding it to the message she had drafted
"You'll never beat me All Might! For I am the face stealer! I'm going to take your face and run off with it!" she joked as she hit send.
"Su-Sur-Surrender!" he said stumbling over the word.
"Never!" she responded as they played their game of heroes and villains.
Hisashi pulled out his phone before they made it to the restaurant.
"What is it? Is there something wrong?"
"Nothing's wrong Inko. Look. She just wanted to share how darling our son was doing. Look, isn't he cute?" he asked sharing the picture. It was like many he had taken before. Darling and adorable. But it was a signal. If she had sent it to Inko, it would have told him that she had second thoughts and needed to be eliminated. But since she had sent it to him, she was willing to risk everything.
He didn't expect it from her, but it seemed he underestimated her desire to protect her youngest brother from her father. Something he could relate to.
He'd have to introduce her to Tomura. Perhaps she could help him expand his influence as he grew older. She was softer, more demure and cunning compared to Tomura. And as the daughter of a hero- soon to be dead hero- she would be another blow to the hero society that had for the most part flourished.
"Aw. It's a cute shot."
"Isn't it?"
"Shall we?"
"Of course. You said you've been here before?"
"Oh yes. Business meeting," he said entering the building. He could see his little informant dressed in a waiter's uniform, ready to make sure there were no issues on their date. He would serve well to send the kill order to his more expendable minions.
It was amazing what people would do to protect family. And while he could respect that, he preferred to exploit it. No family was more important than his own after all.
All he needed to do was order the dumplings and Endeavor would be dead before they got home.
Perhaps he'd give his body to the doctor to experiment on. A fire resistant Nomu would be useful in the long term.
"You've got a big smile on your face. Care to tell me what's on your mind?" Inko teased.
"Just thinking about how wonderful our date is going to be," he said, leaning down to give his much shorter wife a kiss.
"Oh, you charmer."
"Never forget it my dear. I will always be here to sweep you off your feet," he smoothly added. His loving wife and the murder of one of the top ten heroes, it would be hard to make the night any better.
