Work Text:
Martian Man scrutinizes the food packaging, he's determined to make sure the girl receives proper nutrition. Things are difficult enough with the intense weather, either frigid winter air coming in through every crack and crevice, or humidity strong enough to smother a body.
Today’s another smothering one, her hair frizzy and pushed back with a bandana, darkened with sweat. Even he’s uncomfortable, continually wiping his forehead when a sticky breeze pushes the curtains apart.
“Curse Earth weather,” he grumbles. “I should develop a tolerance soon, I hope…”
Nikki laughs. “I’ll sneak you into the community pool later.”
“I'll be fine.”
