"Aether look! Monstadt sure looks lively right now, it looks pretty from here. I wonder what is going on," she exclaimed, floating above the traveller.
A hand was above her eyes, looking at the City of Freedom. Said male only looked to his left towards the city, his gaze softening. He had come here alone, to take a break from the thinking. But of course, Paimon can never leave him alone, they are a duo after all. But she knows when to let him be.
It all hurts. It hurt him, emotionally and mentally.
It's been how many months since he was separated from his twin. It still felt recent, the fear in his sister's eyes as she got captured. The hopeless feeling gnawing in his heart. He felt useless, weak. They have powers but why didn't he act fast enough? If only he was stronger.
His grip on the edge of the cliff tightened. Small crumbs of dirt and rocks forming dust. The little companion noticed it but kept silent.
'Ah, I'm thinking badly again,' Aether took a deep breath and released it, like the hold he has on the ground.
His head hung, the feelings stayed still, though they weren't as overwhelming as just a few minutes ago. He swung his legs back and forth, feeling the side of the cliff against his feet.
"Oh Marla, should we head back for the festival now? As much as I want to spend eternity with you, gazing at these stars that reflect your beauty, I think I'm hungry. Shall we, my love? It'll be my treat."
"Oh Marvin," the young woman swoon.
Oh, right the couple. Aether gave them a glance, rolling his eyes though a small smile was on his face. He loved it when others are happy, he doesn't want anyone to be alone or separated from their loved ones. That's why he somehow doesn't mind being the hero of Monstadt, if it's to prevent any losses. He heard them stood up, leaving the area.
"Oh, traveller! You might want to head back. You don't want to miss the festival. I heard that it's in honour of-"
"Oh Marvin, please do not disturb the traveller. He was taking a rest. But yes traveller you should head back soon. Take care now."
The blonde male waved back at them, hearing them bickering lovingly.
"Paimon doesn't know if she wants to be happy or be embarrassed for them." She sighs.
"Anyway, let's head back when you feel better Aether. Wouldn't want to miss out on the delicacies, mm just thinking about it..."
