Summary
The correct thing to do here would be to refuse. No matter how friendly Aether is, he is still an enemy. Not just any enemy either but the head of the Abyss Order, if everything he’d said is true. They had tried to destroy Mondstadt once and failed. What’s to stop them from trying again? Since Aether knows what he is, it’s safe to assume the prince knows about his inevitable fate as well. There could already be plans in motion to weaponize the corruption that's slowly building up inside of Albedo. This visit could easily have been to gauge it’s progress or to test him. Albedo looks Aether directly in the eye, sees the hopeful gleam sparkling within them.
