Summary
Five years after the events of the Black Market, Jack’s life is a mess. Tormented by his past and haunted by a terrifying black apparition, he’s dropped out of college and has little contact with his friends. But his life takes a turn when he discovers the body of a half-eaten tiger in a dumpster bin.
Juno struggles with making life better for carnivores. Now working for a tabloid newspaper, she learns that the murder Jack discovered is far more than a simple predation incident, with effects that could shake the foundations of society. Enlisting his help, she sets out to solve the case.
