Work Text:
“Kim.”
“Enough already.”
“Kim, Kim, Kim.”
“Stop acting like a child,” says the person who is getting a bit tired of hearing his name being mentioned too many times already.
“I’m not! It’s just—” the other person hesitates. But then, his expression suddenly changes and the tone of his voice lowers. And then he leans closer to the other and says, “I like the feel of your name on my lips.”
Kim stands up immediately. A mix of warmth and chill creeps up his nape the second he hears what Porsché has said. The expressionless facade Kim wore all day disappears in an instant; just because of ten words that Ché muttered a little too alluringly and a little too closely from Kim. Porsché looks up at him with mild concern before asking if Kim is okay. Because of that, he hurriedly sits back down in an attempt to regain his composure.
“How did you learn how to do that?” Kim asks which makes Porsché tilt his head and slightly furrow his eyebrows in confusion.
“Huh? Learn what?”
“What you just said ten seconds ago.”
Ché blinks before looking away. He doesn’t even bother to hide the small smile that appeared on his face.
“I didn’t learn that, dumbass. I just said the truth.”
Thank goodness Kim is still wearing his sunglasses right now or else his so-called friend would have seen the widening of his eyes from what just happened. Porsché is probably just saying naïve, random stuff like he usually does. So why is it affecting Kim tonight?
Kim lets out a sigh. “Don’t do that again.”
“You can’t command me on what to do. I can do whatever I want,” Ché replies, crossing his arms.
“Yes, I can. And now, I’m commanding you to go home. I’m pretty sure it’s already midnight now.”
“What, you’re not coming back with me?”
As much as he truly wants to, spending more time with Porsché tonight might make Kim say some things that he doesn’t want to admit for now. Things he doesn’t really want to confess to Ché yet. Not until he’s completely sure about it. So instead, he adjusts his sunglasses and grabs his phone from his pocket.
“I’ll call for Nont to take you home.”
“Wait, isn’t P’Nont already asleep at this hour, though?” Ché says with a frown.
“Just do as I say, Porsché.”
“But I don’t really want to trouble him—”
Kim sighs again. “Porsché.”
“—and what’s the use of this car if you’re not going to drive it home,” Ché gestures to the hood of the car in which they are currently sitting on.
“Porsché...”
“And I don’t care if it’s already midnight or even morning. I don’t even have classes later today.”
“Ché.”
“I don’t even feel sleepy, at all. I know you know it’s still early for me.”
“Porsché.”
“Can you stop saying my name and talk to me properly?” Ché says, finally raising his voice to interrupt Kim’s name-calling.
“Why should I stop? Especially since...” Kim slowly tilts his head down dramatically. His sunglasses slides down his nose which allows the mischievous glint in his eyes show to Ché. “I like the feel of your name on my lips.”
Porsché’s lips part slightly which made Kim smirk in amusement. As soon as he sees Kim’s expression, Ché scoffs and quickly jumps off the hood of the car.
“Asshole,” he mutters and walks away.
“Where are you going?”
“I’ll just take a taxi instead.”
Kim stands up and glances at Porsché who is pretending to be heading to the street with crossed arms to wait for a taxi that is never going to come. He raises a brow before calling his name one more time.
“Porsché! Fine...” he says in defeat. “Let’s go home.”
Ché looks back at him, narrowing his eyes before immediately running back and getting inside the passenger seat of the car. Kim gets in, checks if Ché is wearing the seatbelt correctly, and drives off. On the way home, Kim has to remind himself to not get distracted. It is because he can’t stop the ten words Porsché said (in a sort of sultry way, too) replaying in his mind over and over again.
I like the feel of your name on my lips.
Who even says that?
Porsché... Who really are you and what sorcery are you doing to have an effect to Kim like this? Kim silently wishes he knows the answer. But for now, he has to drive the both of them home safely, and then he’ll go lie on his king-sized bed, thinking of what Ché told him until morning comes.
