Summary
Harry was about to respond when the bathroom door open and Draco staggered out, clearly high again, and Draco started laughing manically to himself while Harry just stared like a moron. Draco straightened up and wiped tears of mirth from his eyes and said, slightly breathless “I’m sorry, I’m sorry, it’s-it's not funny-but” and he chuckled to himself “What would a trip to rock bottom be without Harry Potter there to witness it?” And, as if to drive his point home, Draco’s eyes rolled back, and he dropped to the floor and started seizing.
Or: “I owe him a debt I can never repay, he made an impossible choice in an impossible situation,” Harry told him, “And it cost him everything, I just had no idea he was still paying for it.”
Draco made the right choice and still lost.
