Work Text:
Zelda stomped into her study, still suffering from the overbearing urge to cover her ears.
"These guardians will bring us nowhere, she keeps wasting her time."
"The King forbid it. Finally!"
"Are we sure she is the one? Maybe the Queen had a bastard child who brims with powers."
Link closed the door softly after them.
"Hey," he brushed her arm with the back of his hand.
"Oh, what am I going to do, Link?" She twisted her hands this way and that, willing a triforce to appear. It didn't.
Gently, Link stroked his thumb over her hand, tugging at the glove. "May I?"
She nodded.
Once freed, he picked a paint brush up from her desk, sketching something on her hand. He took his time to choose colors, adjusting until he was fully satisfied.
When he released her, the back of her hand was decorated with a Silent Princess.
"Oh my, this is beautiful! Thank you, Link."
His lips turned in a rare smile when he pressed a kiss on the flower.
"What a shame that it won't last long, you put so much effort in it."
"You underestimate the length I would go to see you smile, Zelda."
