Chapter Text
"oh dream~!"
sprinting for his life, the man whose face was hidden with a smiling mask, dream, continuously switches to a much broader view of the world around him as his eyes fixated on ways to get the british hunter off his trail.
"dream~!"
george, with three keys pressed, runs as fast as he could to end the green man's speedrun career. his wide grin displayed the eagerness he has to complete his task.
suddenly, dream falls.
dream finds himself in a puddle of water, but with no blocks in possession. he looks up to the ravine, where his best friend was crouching, searching for a suitable place to land without any harm done to himself.
george was unsure if he could win a fist fight against the smart speedrunner. he crouches, walking from side to side at the pace of a lazy panda, considering his options.
dream gets up from the water and runs straight into a cave system, where an abandoned mineshaft perfectly spawned. he grabs as much wood as he could before hearing a water splash.
"oh dream~!"
dream crouches, hiding behind a wall. "help! i'm stuck at a cobweb!" he pretended to whine. he crafts a crafting bench and wields a wooden sword, waiting for the right time to frighten the hunter.
george calls out for dream but received no reply. his heart was beating faster and harder, his eyes frantically searching for the familiar tint of yellow. he turned to ask his fans of dream's location, knowing that some of his fans were also watching dream's stream. the green man jumps out of nowhere, causing a high-pitched scream of terror which surprisingly came from george.
"WHERE DID YOU COME FROM?" george yells as he sprints out of the mineshaft. with one last swing of the sword, george finds himself with a red screen.
dream laughs as he sprints away from the crime scene.
george sighs. the screen looked bland, with no vibrant colours to light it up. everything looked so dull and boring, like an artist who abandoned their sketched masterpiece. george wondered what it would have been like if he could see all colours normally like what other people could.

dream sprints, barely avoiding multiple ghasts firing hot fireballs at him. the nether used to be menacing, but now that dream had entered the dimension thousands of times, it was like going to his second home.
fire spread around the netherrack ground, with warm lava surrounding the floating island. multiple zombified piglins patrolled the area with their golden sword raised, prepared to defend the horde when necessary. an enderman was nearby, carrying a netherrack block as it teleported around.
"how are you that fast?" george asked, slaying a herd of pigs for food on the other side of the world.
"i'm not fast, you're just too slow," dream teased as he bridges toward another island where a nether fortress stood.
a ghast fires at dream, breaking the blocks below him. he holds out a boat, ready to place it down when a donation pops up, causing him to lose focus for a moment. he hits the ground hard, barely landing on solid ground. an inch off and he could have been drowning in lava by now.
"HI DREAM!" george exclaimed in excitement as he was teleported beside dream, as per what they had coded, whacking the speedrunner with an iron sword as much as possible. dream fights back, holding out his trusty iron sword, and the two battled until george was cornered to the lava. dream gives George one last swing of his sword, and george falls into the lava helplessly.

"WHA-AT?" george yelled out of disbelief. "i had you there! I HAD YOU THERE!"
dream responded with a laugh. "goodbye george!"
"you're so mean," george scoffed, pretending to be furious.
"it's not my problem," dream snickered, bridging back to the top with a cobblestone pillar.
"you should get some glasses then we could've avoided all of this," george joked.
silence fell. dream continued to bridge to an island in the sky before...

"dream?" george called out.
no answer.
george investigates the twitch chat, noting the surprise of his viewers. some began to panic upon dream ending his stream. he hovers his mouse over to dream's discord username before it disappears from the voice channel.
george goes back to twitch and ends the stream immediately, leaving the fans perplexed.
"dream?" george messages his quiet friend privately. he hovers over to dream's status.
