Work Text:

Ollie leaned his head against the wall of the Haus as music shook him to his core. He felt the alcohol buzzing in his head, but all he could do was look in front of him at Wicks. Wicky. Pace. Wicks had his head thrown back from a joke that Ollie can’t even remember anymore, but none of that mattered as Wicks smiled at him. Smiled at him like he was the most amazing thing he’d ever seen.

“You good man?” Wicks asked as ran his hand through his hair and Ollie just felt himself still staring. Nothing in Wick’s expression showed he was weirded out, but the little inklings of concern were there and Ollie felt his chest warm. Wicks was always there for him, always concerned, always just caring. And Ollie just leaned into Wick’s space from his position on the wall, leaning his head against Wicks’ shoulder.

Ollie felt Wicks’ arm go around him as he shifted his position to hold some of Ollie’s weight. And Ollie just took in the blurred lights, the noise and music around them, but all he could feel was Wick’s arm around him. All he could feel was that he was safe in his embrace.

“Ollie? Dude?” Wicks sounded more concerned now, but Ollie just shifted his head to rest closer on Wick’s collarbone. He could feel the warmth radiating from Wicks and could hear almost hear the thump of his heart. Ollie felt himself wanting to stay there forever.

“Just tired. You can keep talking,” Ollie replied, and he knew he wasn’t this normally tired, but between practice, college, and just the longing he felt every time Wicks looked at him, Ollie felt like he was in molasses. Felt like the world was pulling him down.

Wicks paused for a moment, but then his hold on Ollie’s body tightened slightly, “You sure?” After Ollie’s slight nod, Wicks started his own spiel about the some jock that was in his old class who made him do all the work, despite being on a roadie. And as he felt Wicks’ voice vibrate through his chest, Ollie felt his chest clench as he leaned more, and Wicks just adjusted to it instantly.

Despite the stifling heat of the Haus, Ollie realized Wicks made him feel warm in a good way. He realized the arm around him felt like a blanket that he never wanted to take off. He realized Wick’s voice was like a melody to his ears. He realized that Wicks felt like safety. And as Ollie felt his eyes close, he realized one more thing.

Wicks felt like home.
