Summary
"The curse, so it was told, had its roots in the Khaenri’ahn people’s rejection of the gods, many centuries prior to Kaeya’s birth. Slighted by being turned away from, the gods in punishment laid a curse upon all of the nation’s people, which would permeate eternally throughout their bloodlines. Any descendant of Khaenri’ah who betrays the people whom they love, and who love them, be it by lies, physical harm, or any other transgression, was said to turn slowly and inexorably into a demon."
