His warm skin against mine felt relaxing, with him I was safe… and I knew he wouldn’t hesitate to protect me if it was needed. I open my eyes slowly, feeling the sun prick at my closed eyelids, when I did so I was met with a pair of golden eyes looking down at me. I was pressed against his chest, his arms wrapped around my shoulders, I smiled, “How long have you been awake for?”
He smiled back and softly brushed his hand on my shoulder, “Not long, I was simply admiring your face while you slept.” I laid my head back down on his chest, nuzzling his neck leaving soft kisses.
He tapped his fingers lightly on my shoulder, I looked at him, “Is there something troubling you Zhongli?”
“I’m afraid I might have been a bit intense last night; will you be all right?”
I smiled, “Of course I will, you don’t need to worry about me.”
I sat up laying my head on his shoulder, placing a strand of hair behind his ear, the way he looked at me made me fall in love and the way his voice sound, so deep, so touching…
“Are positive you will be all right? I know you have a busy day today.”
“Zhongli, I promise you I’m unharmed, your body can have a slight shock afterwards.”
He sighed, “I wouldn’t know, I haven’t done this in quite a while, I apologize if it wasn’t up to your expectations.”
“Don’t worry, it was perfect, you were perfect,” I answered leaving a chaste kiss on his shoulder slowly going up. I cupped his cheek, brushing my thumb on his surprisingly soft skin and pressed my lips against his. His hands slowly went down to my waist. I broke the kiss noticing the time was flying by, “As much as I would love to stay with you here all day, I do have a busy day…” I sigh anxiously.
“I could always accompany you on your commissions?”
“I would love to, but you also have a job, I don’t think Hu Tao would appreciate you missing a day just to spend the day with your Adepti girlfriend.”
“Right, well shall we get ready then?” I nodded and gave him a quick peck on the lips before pulling down the covers, revealing myself to him. I walked over to the drawers to pick up some clean clothes when I noticed he hadn’t gotten up and his face had a small tint of pink, I turned around, “Aren’t you getting ready?
“Let me admire you a bit longer.”
I chuckled and walked over to him and whispered in his ear, “You’ll have plenty of time to admire me tonight.” I kissed his jaw a bit, nibbling on the skin, before pulling away.
“I guess it’s a contract I can agree to.”
