Chapter Text
It was all Kirishima’s fault. Fucking draging him into a gathering. Honestly, he would rather be in his room cuddling with his boyfriend but No Katsuki, you should hang out with our classmates . Fuck you.
It was a Sunday night, and they had class tomorrow, for fucks sake. But the class decided to have a game night. Because, apparently, they needed to bond like a family. As if he wanted to be a family with these dumbasses.
Okay, sue him for being bitter and petty, but the time spent with them could’ve been spent with Bakugo cuddling with his boyfriend.
Bakugou was seated between Kaminari and Kirishima. Honestly, he would rather be sitting by Sero (the calm one of the group, but also questionably high) , but shit happens that you can’t control.
“Bakubro!” exclaimed Ashido. “You actually came!” He rolled his eyes and felt a small smile come to his face. As much as he would like to scorn Kirishima for dragging him to these events, he was happy that they included him. That they accepted him.
“Not by fucking choice.” She snickered and pouted.
“You should be nicer to us,” whined Ashido. He flipped her off with a scowling face, causing the self proclaimed Bakusquad to laugh.
“As fun as it is making fun of Bakugou,” said Jirou. “We should start.”
“Oh yeah, what are we playing?” asked Kirishima. The way that his boyfriend tilted his head was cute as fuck and made Bakugou want to lean over and kiss him, but they had a relationship to keep secret.
Neither of them were ready to come out yet. Their classmates were accepting (having gotten rid of one perverted bastard), but they were nosy. Bakugou didn’t want to deal with it, and Kirishima accepted the fact.
“We’re gonna play a mix between spin-the bottle and truth or dare,” explained Sero. “It’s self-explanatory.” Kirishima ‘oohed’ and gave a thumbs up.
“Good choice.” Bakugou rolled his eyes again. He was tired of their antics, but whatever. They were his idiots. Fuck. He just referred to them as his idiots. If they ever heard hi say that, he would never live it down.
“Ok, so who wants to go first?” asked Ojiro. Hagakure raised her hand and waved it back and forth, trying to catch his attention. Well, more accurately, it was her bracelet.
“I’ll go first!” Ojirou looked around to see if anyone opposed Hagakure, which no one did. He nodded, causing Hagakure to gleefully cheer and grab the bottle. She spun it and it landed on Uraraka.
“Truth or dare?” she asked. There was mischief in the tone of her voice that would’ve made Bakugou shudder were it not for the fact that he had a reputation to uphold.
Uraraka thought about it for a second and decided on, “Truth.”
“Aww whyyy? Choose dare~” Uraraka shuddered.
“I’m playing a safe game here.” Even Bakugou wouldn’t choose dare while playing with Hagakure. You never know what she will make you do. Their last game was a disaster.
Hagakure huffed. “Fine, I guess it's truth. Hmmm, out of all the guys in this class, who would you most likely date?” Ashido groaned.
“That’s such a vanilla question! It’s always asked whenever we play,” Ashido said.
“Ashido!” Iida exclaimed. And here comes the lecture. “You must respect your classmates’ questions! It is not very good of you to-”
“Iida-kun,” Asui cut in. “Today is supposed to be fun, kero. You shouldn’t lecture people.” Iida looked at her apologetically. Finally, someone who could make that ass shut the fuck up.
“Sorry! I will keep that in mind.” They all laughed, obviously everyone except Bakugou, and once they calmed down, Kaminari looked at Uraraka.
“Sooo…” He wiggled his eyebrows. Bakugou wanted to gag at his act; it was so cringey . And how the fuck did he even wiggle his eyebrows?
“Mon ami, please, you’re creeping me out,” commented Aoyama.
“Yes Kaminari, please. I feel very uncomfortable with the...thing your doing with your eyebrows,” said Yaoyorozu.
“ See ! If God Yaomomo decides you're creepy, then you are, dumbass,” commented Jirou. Bakugou honestly could not deny that fact.
“I-” Uraraka blushed. Ashido practically lit up as her face turned red.
“Oh my god oh my god tell us!”
“Mina,” said Yaoyorozu. Elegantly, as she always was. “You should give her some space. She’s basically confessing to her crush right now.”
“I guess…”
There were several moments of silence until Uraraka whispered a name. “Uku.” The class, minus Jirou and Shouji, looked at her confusedly.
“What did you say?” asked Kirishima.
Jirou snorted. “I’m sorry, but I’m pretty sure we all know at this point.” Uraraka’s face grew redder.
“Yeah,” said Hagakure. “Ooh, lemme guess! It’s Mido-” Uraraka slapped a hand over her mouth. She looked at Midoriya pleadingly.
He just looked back at her, shocked. “Yo-you like me?” She nodded hesitantly. The class leaned in to see his reaction clearer. Bakugou was pretty sure that they wanted to see the two get together, but he knew that wasn’t going to happen.
Midoriya apologized to her. “I’m sorry. I-uh...I don’t have any feelings for you.” Bakugou huffed. Ugh, these people . You don’t have to apologize for not liking someone. Yeah, it's common courtesy, but it makes things awkward .
Uraraka looked like she was about to cry and Bakugou wanted to murder her. It wasn’t the fucking end of the world. And Deku wouldn’t be a good choice for a lover either. He’s a weakass bitch. And 100% an Uke. And also dating the Half and Half bastard. Who is far too obsessive for his own good.
“It’s alright!” she said, trying to sound cheerful. She changed the subject. And thank god for that; the tension in the room was suffocating. “Umm, my turn next right?” Their classmates nodded, letting the topic change with ease. Uraraka spun the bottle and it landed on Tokoyami. “Truth or dare?”
“I will not submit to the darkness yet. Truth.”
Ugh, I swear, they’re all pussies. I can’t believe they’re picking truth .
“What is one physical attraction that your significant other has to have?” Again with these love questions. These idiots are so nosy .
“Arms.” They all looked at him in shock.
“Like buff arms?” asked Hagakure. Tokoyami nodded.
“Big arms. It is the only thing to heal my spirit.” Several of them chuckled at his response, and Ashido let out a ‘mood.’
“Wait,” said Kaminari. “Isn’t the only one here who has big arms Shou-”
“Shut the fuck up,” Dark-Shadow said, appearing out of nowhere. Kaminari let out a feminine shriek and flinched, his eyes coming up to protect his face. And here we have another fucking pussy in the house.
“Alright,” he said, surrendering. “I’m sorry!” Dark-Shadow glared at him (if a shadow could?) and vanished.
“Tokoyami, you should spin the bottle,” reminded Shouji. Tokoyami nodded and spun it. It landed on Kouda.
“Truth or dare, my brethren?”
“ Truth ,” Kouda signed.
“Why are you afraid of bugs?” What a fucking weak ass question, but it’s the biggest fucking scaredy cat. So it fucking makes sense or whatever. But still. They’re all bitches.
“ I have Entomophobia.” There were ‘Ahhs’ around the room, understanding his response. “ I will spin the bottle now .”
The game continued on for half an hour and neither Kirishima nor Bakugou had the bottle land on them. It wasn’t statistically possible ( I mean, yes it was, but there was a very low chance that both of them had not had a turn ). Finally, one of them was asked the question on Asui’s turn. Not that Bakugou wanted it to. Totally not.
“Dare!” exclaimed Kirishima enthusiastically. “It’s a manly choice!”
“Kirishima-kun,” said Asui. “I’m sure everyone is wondering, but out of everyone in this class, kiss the person you would most likely date, kero. Cheeks are fine.” All eyes were on him. Kirishima looked around the room hesitantly. All the girls leaned in towards him, eyes wide in anticipation.
“I-uhh…” Kirishima looked uncomfortable. He bit his lip and his eyes darted around.
“Oyy!” exclaimed Bakugou. He can’t just let Kirishima struggle like that. “Just kiss whoever the fuck and get this shit over with!” He felt glares on him.
“Bakugou,” said Todoroki. “You should not get angry. I highly doubt that your-”
“He has to kiss who he would date, not just anyone!” interrupted Uraraka. Bakugou rolled his eyes. “And he wouldn’t kiss you so you don’t have to worry about it.”
“Yeah, I highly doubt Kirishima would fall for someone so volatile,” commented Hagakure. Kirishima looked shocked.
“Wait, guys-” Kirishima tried to get their attention.
“It is wrong for you to make comments on your classmate like that,” Iida butt in. “Although it may be true…”
“Yes, I also don’t think Kirishima would fall for someone as dangerous as Bakugou,” said Satou.
“Not going to lie, as much as I am a friend to Kacchan, I don’t think they would make a good couple cause he’s just so...prickly,” Kaminari said.
“Hmm, true. I think Kirishima would go for someone more touchy feely and who would actually love him,” Ashido commented.
Bakugou felt super hurt by those two statements. They were supposed to be his friends, right?
“Are you serious!?” Sero blew up. “Bakugou is literally our friend! Why would you guys go and say that he’s not lovable! I, on the other hand, think that those two would make a
great
couple, because although Bakugou does not verbalise his love, he shows it through action.” He was honestly thankful for Sero. Even though he may be high sometimes, at least he would stand up for his
friend
.
“No, Sero, I think you're wrong on that,” said Jirou. “Even though those two are best friends, they would just clash in a romantic relationship.”
“Mon ami, I think you have the wrong idea! Kirishima’s type is obviously a cute girl!”
“I-I cannot believe you!” Kirishima exploded. Ha. Exploded. What a term.
“What?” asked Hagakure. “We’re just telling the truth. I mean, Bakugou is an obvious bully. If you guys dated, then you would be in a toxic relationship.”
“Kirishima,” said Asui. “I don’t think you deserve to go through all of that, kero. You would have the short end of the stick in that type of relationship. You deserve better.”
Those words haunted him. ‘You deserve better.’ Was he not enough? What was he lacking? Are they not supposed to care about him? What was he doing wrong? Did they not accept him?
“Look, ask Deku,” said Uraraka. Midoriya looked at her in surprise. “Would they be in a good relationship with each other?”
Midoriya was about to reply, but Kirishima beat him to it. “Why are you all like this?”
“Kiri, can you not take the truth?” asked Ashido. “He’s a monster .” There were some mutters of agreements around the room.
A monster. His friends thought he was a monster. Isn’t that hilarious? A monster. That’s all he is. Not a human. A monster. A demon of sorts. The most evil thing there is. Isn’t that word reserved for villainous people? Was he evil?
“No he is not,” Shouji said. It broke Bakugou’s thoughts. Why is someone who he has barely interacted with defending him? “Bakugou is not a monster.”
“And you should not be throwing around that word so easily,” said Tokoyami.
“We are not throwing the word around easily,” said Kaminari. “We’re literally talking about Bakugou, the beast of 1-A. There’s no denying that-”
Bakugou stood up and walked out of the common room. He couldn’t take it anymore. It hurt too much. He pressed the elevator open and went to his dorm room.
The moment he arrived, Bakugou shut his door and slumped onto his bed. He let out a pitiful sob. Was he just like her? Will he become her? He doesn’t want to hurt anyone. Especially not Kirishima. But...he’s her son. Would he treat Kirishima like how his mother treats him? Fuck, Kirishima does deserves better.
Bakugou laid on his bed, crying his eyes out. He didn't know when, but his consciousness slipped away from him. He’ll just deal with everything when he wakes up.

Aizawa was grading the most recent assignments in the teacher’s common room when four of his students walked in. They were Kirishima, Sero, Shouji, and Tokoyami.
“How can I help you four?” he asked. It was uncommon to see this setup. Yes, Kirishima and Sero were close. Shouji and Tokoyami were close. The four were all friends, but this group matchup was peculiar. There was something going on.
“I-I don’t…” Kirishima trailed off.
“We were playing truth or dare,” said Shouji. “Mixed with spin the bottle, and Tsuyu asked Kirishima who he would most likely date.”
“He was uncomfortable and Bakugou told him to just choose someone and get it over with,” continued Sero. “And they all got angry.”
“Our classmates said very degrading terms towards Bakugou and said how there was no way Kirishima would date Bakugou,” Tokoyami said.
“And they called him so many different things that you would call villains. I don’t even think that they care about him anymore,” said Sero.
“Bakugou left while they were calling him that, and after he left, they were saying how he didn’t deserve to be in the hero course and that he should’ve joined the villains.” Kirishima continued. His eyes were downcast. “I-They said he was probably UA’s traitor…and I kind of blew up on them?”
“Kirishima yelled at them. Midoriya too. The two of them were super mad at everyone. I think those two were just waiting for Bakugou to leave to unleash their terror,” commented Sero. “But the thing was...that they looked smug. As if they didn’t do anything wrong even after Kirishima and Midoriya pointed out the false things they were claiming.”
Aizawa narrowed his eyes. He thought he taught his students better. And not to talk about Bakugou’s unaddressed trauma as well. Shit, this was going to be a headache. “Who was involved?”
“Uhh, us four weren’t involved in this,” said Sero. “And Kouda, Todoroki, and Midoriya.” Aizawa nodded.
“You four go back to the dorms. I will alert Nezu about this incident and we will move on from there.” The four students nodded and left, heading back to their living quarters.
Aizawa sighed. He stood up and took out his phone, dialing Nezu to report about what he just learned. He was going to teach his children a lesson about trauma, how not to address someone, and how to not break someone’s trust. Probably also how to build a bridge out of a burned one.

After their conversation with Aizawa, the four made their way back to the dorms. Tension was building up as they were getting closer to the building they lived in.
“I honestly don’t want to go back there,” said Shouji. Kirishima sighed.
“Me too,” Tokoyami said. “Can I stay with you tonight? My neighbors are…”
“Sure,” answered Shouji.
“Oh my god, you guys are disgustingly adorable,” Sero commented. They laughed, feeling the tension thin out. “But you’re lucky that your floor is just the three of you, you know? I don’t want any of them to stop me and talk to me about the thing.”
“Well, you have Todoroki,” said Shouji. Sero hummed.
“True, but I’m pretty sure he’s going to be with Midoriya tonight, and I hope they won’t drag me into a talk.”
Tokoyami rolled his eyes. “They won’t sin with this situation going around.”
“Tokoyami, my emo bird friend, I cannot believe you call sex sin ,” Sero said, chuckling. Kirishima smiled. At least they were able to joke about this. He knew that it might be a big deal to some of them.
“You know,” started Kirishima. “I didn’t think that you guys would’ve defended Bakugou. No offense or anything! I think it’s manly, since you’re not close or anything.”
Shouji shook his head. “No, I need to apologize to Bakugou too.” Kirishima and Sero looked at him questionably. “I used to think the same way that the others did, but not on the same level. But after Tokoyami pointed out a few things, I saw him in a different light.”
“Bro, I don’t think Bakugou would want you to apologize for something you didn’t take part in, but I guess you can still do that,” Sero said.
“I think it’s manly that you can admit to your mistakes!”
“Thank you, Kirishima. Now, let’s talk about the two of you…” Kirishima blushed.
“What do you mean?” he asked them, trying to keep the nervousness out of his voice. He failed, as Sero looked at him with a maniac look.
“I’m pretty sure all three of us know. I’m surprised that Todoroki knew too. And if Todoroki knows, then Midoriya knows.”
“What are you talking about Sero?”
He smiled. “The fact that Bakubro turned into Bakubabe.” Kirishima felt his jaw drop.
“I- What?!? No, we aren’t-”
“Please don’t try to salvage this,” Tokoyami interrupted. “We already know.”
Kirishima groaned. “How?”
“You two are always in each other’s room,” Shouji said. Tokoyami nodded.
“I can confirm this.”
“And I saw you holding your hands under the table while studying,” Sero commented. “Although, I think I’m the only one who caught that moment. The others don’t know.”
“I-What about Shouji and Tokoyami! You didn’t react to them!”
“That’s because they didn’t try to hide it. Our class is just too oblivious to realize that there was something going on between the two of them,” Sero said.
“That’s a lie. You saw us one day in the kitchen together,” Tokoyami said.
Sero huffed. “I’m trying to have a moment here! I want to pretend that my gaydar works!”
Kirishima smiled. He was happy to find out that they weren’t against his relationship with Bakugou. That was the one of the things that kept Bakugou from coming out, even though he wouldn’t admit it; that their class would make the two break up.
The group continued talking about mundane things until they arrived at the dorm.
“So,” said Sero. “You have to tell Bakugou about what happened. And please tell him that we’re all rooting for him to prove the others wrong.”
Tokoyami and Shouji nodded. “Tell him that he has our support.”
Kirishima grinned at them, giving the three a thumbs up. “I’ll be sure to tell him!”
