For centuries, humans spent their entire lives wishing that in some way they could have an ability that would make them that much more fascinating. Dreaming about moving things with their minds, creating fires from nothing but a snap of their fingers, soaring through the skies with wings that dragged across the ground behind them as they walked. But when those fantasies became a reality, the people didn’t know how to react. So they did what anyone else would do.
They hunted them down and killed them.
