Summary
Jungkook is on his way to marry a total stranger.
Jungkook wouldn’t have gone at all, except that he’s part of the ruling family on his planet, Tirune, and that means he has to make sacrifices in his personal life. There are things he must give up and people to protect and there are parts of being a prince that Jungkook really doesn’t like.
Jungkook's home and the other five planets are part of the Celestial Empire and that means they do as the Emperor says. Tirune, far in the outer rim, has gotten away with ignoring him until now, but that's about to change. They’ve offered countless precious minerals and technologies and exotic alien creatures pulled from other systems, but nothing seemed to match the Emperor’s desire for more obedience.
Nothing except Jungkook, that is.
So he’s being shipped away, to nearly the center of their solar system, to marry the Heir to the Empire, Min Yoongi, and keep his people safe.
Between navigating a new culture and trying not to get assassinated, Jungkook doesn't expect to find anything to care about in the Imperial city.
