Chapter Text

I woke up to the feeling that I had just had an ESP dream. These were fairly common occurrences in my day to day life that I easily remedied. Although unfortunately in this case, I can’t exactly prevent what's going to happen if I don’t remember it. Most people would feel nervous about something like this, though I don’t because I know that whatever it is I will be able to fix it anyway. I always do. Although I only prevent these disasters because not doing so would impact my life negatively.

I get out of bed, doing my best to ignore the constant buzzing of voices in my head, and put my uniform on. I headed to my bathroom to complete my traditional morning routine, and left my house with a quick, “Love you Ku-chan!” from my mother.

I was already put out as I had woken up in a bad mood already, not remembering my ESP dream. Little did I know today was going to get a hell of a lot worse.

I sat down at my desk and awaited the inevitable gathering of my “friends” around my desk. At least that’s what they call themselves, I see them as more of bothersome nincompoops. 

“Hey pal! Wanna get some ramen after school?” Nendo said to me with a dumb smile that seemed to be pemanently etched onto his face.

“Nendo you ask that everyday, and everyday Saiki-kun doesn’t respond. What makes you think that will change today?” Kaidou asked with an irritated look on his face.

“Ah go easy on him Shun, you know it’s hard for him to understand things.” Aren said jokingly, though Nendo didn’t seem to understand that Aren had insulted him.

“Alright everyone please sit down” my teacher said as she walked in. I breathed out a sigh of relief because I knew now the aforementioned nincompoops would have to sit down at their own desks and leave me alone.

As I sat down for lunch at my usual table with Kaidou, Kuboyasu, and Nendo; I saw Teruhashi walk over here with a determined look on her face.

‘I will get him to say ‘offu’ to me today! I’ll just ask him with my angel eyes if I can sit down and eat with him and the others. Nobody, not even Saiki, could say no to the perfect pretty girl asking to sit with him.’, Teruhashi thought to herself. 

‘Yare yare, I can’t think of anyway out of this that doesn’t involve murder or serious maiming. Probably best if I just let her then, because her sitting here will draw less attention then going on a psychotic rampage. Though the rampage sounds much more enjoyable.’

“Oh hi Saiki-kun! I was wondering if I could sit with you, Kaidou-kun, Kuboyasu-kun, and Nendo-kun for lunch today?” Teruhashi asked me while having an angelic and innocent look on her face.

“Offu! Teruhashi-san! Of course we would love to have you!” Kaidou said to her with far too much enthusiasm. 

“Thank you so much Kaidou-kun!” Teruhashi said while sitting down next to me. ‘I wish Saiki had been the one to accept, but at least I can still sit next to him.’

As soon as Teruhashi sat down, all eyes were on our table. ‘Yare yare, what a pain, maybe the rampage was the better idea.’ I decide to ignore all of them for as long as I can so Teruhashi doesn’t have a chance to engage in conversation with me, but alas, I should have expected the other morons would join soon after.

“Hey Saiki-san! Can big boobs and I sit here too?” I was asked by the pervert. 

“Hey don’t call me big boobs dumbass!” Aiura said in response to Toritsuka.

“Yare yare, I don’t care, just sit down.”

“Thanks Saiki-san!” Toritsuka said to me while he and Aiura sat down.

As I should have also predicted, Teruhashi and Kaidou sitting here would attract the attention of Yumehara enough that she would request to sit here as well. I look up and see her sitting down to eat with us as well. ‘ Perhaps this is what my ESP dream was about; the local idiots making my lunch period unbearable.’   

I was brought out of my thoughts by what Kaidou said. “Hey guys did you hear about that dude on the internet who has been exposing psychics and their powers!” 

‘Yare yare what’s this nonsense Kaidou is talking about?’

“Shun you don’t actually believe that right?” Aren asked Kaidou.

“At first I didn’t but some of them were actually proven! People started recognizing the others that he called out for being psychics and took discreet videos of them using their powers! It’s crazy to believe that psychic powers actually exist right! Think about it, anyone at this school could be a psychic and we wouldn’t know it!”

“How does he know this information Kaidou-kun?” Yumehara asked Kaidou.

‘Good question Yumehara, I myself am curious about this.’

“Well he says that he himself is a psychic! Though his only ability is to know the names, abilities, and location of all other psychics alive! His videos have been slowly going down the list of least to most powerful psychics alive right now! There are apparently only 15 true psychics in the world right now and he’s already exposed the least powerful 10. He's down to the most powerful 5 psychics! Most of the weaker ones had lame powers like telekinesis of objects under 5 pounds or something or like lights coming out of your hands like a flashlight, but the most recent ones are actually pretty impressive. The number 6 psychic, the last one he exposed, had the ability to create fire with his hands!” As Kaidou was saying all of this to the group, Toritsuka, Aiura, and myself all shared glances. Toritsuka and Aiura looked at me with a look of concern.

“ It’s fine this guy is probably a fake anyway, it’s not like he’ll actually expose me to the world.” I said telepathically to the two other psychics sitting across from me.

“He’s doing a live stream in 5 minutes where he’s gonna expose the top 5 psychics, I’m so excited!” Kaidou continued.

“Don’t you think it’s kind of rude to disturb these innocent people's lives just for the fun of it?” Teruhashi asked Kaidou.

“Yeah I think it is unnecessary and impertinent of him, but he’s going to expose them anyway so we might as well watch.” Kaidou responded.

“I suppose you're right. Ok pull it up and play it on the cafeteria tv for everyone to watch.” Teruhashi told Kaidou.

“O-Okay Teruhashi-San!”

As Kaidou pulled up the screen on the tv in the cafeteria, people began to recognize the man.

“Oi Kaidou-kun is that Yamazashi, the man who is exposing all those psychics?” Some random guy from class 4 asked Kaidou.

“Yeah I’m streaming his broadcast right now he’s about to expose the 5 most powerful psychics in the world.” At this, murmurs began erupting around the room. Some people seemed confused what they were talking about, but their friends who knew quickly clarified for them. By the time everyone knew what Kaidou was talking about, the livestream screen buzzed on.

‘ Yare yare I don’t believe this man is real, if he shows proof to me then I will believe my secret might actually be in danger. Though I suppose I could just teleport to wherever he is once I see the background of his livestream and read his mind to see if he’s for real.’

The screen then buzzed to life and showed a man standing in front of a black background.

‘Yare yare, that's frustrating, now I won’t be able to see if he’s legitimately a psychic.’

“Hello humans my name is Yamazashi Yuri, and I am the man who has been exposing my fellow psychics. Now you may wonder why I am standing in front of this black screen for the first time in one of my videos, and that is because I need to prevent any of the top 5 psychics from coming after me once they know where I am. And spoiler alert” he said with a wink, “that’s one of number 1’s abilities.”

After he said this, the room exploded with noise. Shouts of ”Is he serious?!” and “One of!? Do they have more than one power!?” was heard all around the room. Eventually Aren yelled for everyone to shut up, and silence prevailed. 

Though in this moment I began to feel an unfamiliar feeling that I presumed was what people referred to as anxiety, though that’s impossible as I don’t get anxious. There was no doubt in my mind that I was the most powerful psychic alive, so if he knew that the supposed ‘number 1’ possessed this power, are his claims about his abilities true?

As he started his intro I could see at the bottom that more than a billion people were watching this live right now. 

“Now I know many of you have been waiting for this day, the day where you would finally find out who the 5 most powerful beings on Earth are. Well today is the day your questions will be answered. Before we begin I just want to say a big thank you to”, he paused as he looked at his own screen, “the 1.7 billion of you who are tuning in right now. And I can only imagine how many more are watching this with a shared device. Thank you all.”

‘Yare yare the number has increased, if he actually exposes me there's no way I’ll be able to pretend he was lying with that many people. Mind control wouldn’t work because there might be unknown side effects. I can’t use memory supplication because of the sheer number of people who would know. What a pain, I better just assume this guy is a fake and then figure something out if he’s not.’

I could see Aiura and Toritsuka looking at each other with competition in their eyes. 

“Yare yare are you two really just thinking about who’s more powerful? Shouldn’t you care more about the fact that this man could possibly be about to expose us to the entire world?”

I then activated my forced telepathy so that they could hear each other's thoughts and wouldn’t have to speak out loud to have a conversation between the three of us.

“Kusuo, the pervert and I have already been claiming to the whole school that we’re psychics, the only one that might be fully exposed is you right now. So yes we’re worried for your sake, but in all honesty I really want to prove to this shrimp dick that I’m more powerful than he is.”

“More powerful! Please big boobs, I’m way more powerful. But anyways what she’s saying is true Saiki, she and I have both been trying to convince people of our powers. This is actually a good thing for the two of us, think about all the women that will be coming after me.” He thought with a wistful look on his face.

“Yare yare, I suppose you're right that you two might actually enjoy this. Unfortunately for me though I’m moderately powerless to stop this, I suppose we will have to wait and see what happens.”

“Well let’s get on with this then! The #5 most powerful psychic currently resides in Ireland! How exciting! Anyway, she has the ability to manipulate water into all forms. For example boiling it, freezing it, and manipulating its shape! Her name is. . .” He seemed to be pausing for dramatic effect. It was clearly working as the room was dead silent, all students and teachers on the edge of their seats to hear. ”Ciara O'reilly!”

“Holy shit dude he just exposed her!” I could hear someone say.

“I know! And did you hear her powers! That’s insane! She’s like a myth, and she's only the 5th most powerful, imagine what the next 4 psychic’s abilities are!”

“Dude I’m kind of terrified to hear the rest.”

Murmurs of agreement could be heard around the room. 

“Now I know some of you might be suspicious of whether this is true or not! But fear not! I have video evidence of all the top 5 psychics using their powers!”

“Fuck yeah dude we get to see her use her powers!”

The screen then showed what appeared to be security camera feed of a woman in her 30’s sitting by a community pool. The video then progressed to show the woman appearing to freeze the sweat on her skin to cool herself off. You could clearly see the small bits of ice that fell off of her, even though the video feed claimed it was 40 degrees Celsius at that moment.

“Oh my god. Did she seriously just freeze her own sweat.”

Everyone in the cafeteria, sans the three psychics, appeared to be in shock. 

“This guy seems legit! He might actually end up releasing all of our identities to the world… Sweet! Imagine all the business I’m going to get now!” Auria thought, completely unaware of how this might impact my life in a negative way.

“I am still hesitant to believe anything this man says. Once he exposes someone that I can actually verify the powers of, I will not believe him”

“I know this is probably incredibly shocking to all of you, but I felt it was my duty to tell the world what has been living amongst them. And in all honesty I am curious to see what will happen when all their secrets have been revealed. Let's continue on to the fourth most powerful psychic alive. This one is a man who currently lives in Cairo, Egypt. He has the ability to manipulate metal, truly a modern day Magneto! This man's name is. . . Amun Hassan! And don’t fret, I have video evidence of this man as well!”

The screen then showed what again appeared to be security camera footage of a car wreck. There was a car shown on its side with it’s driver’s side door warped and the passenger’s side of the car pushed against the ground. There then appeared to be someone inside the car that was trying to open the driver’s door. It appeared to be stuck though so they weren’t having much luck, and there was nobody else that appeared nearby to help. The next moment showed the door of the car being ripped off its hinges by an invisible force and then being suspended in midair. There then appeared to be a man crawling out of the space where the door had just been. Once he stood on the ground next to the car he extended his hand towards the suspended door, and the door then slowly lowered and settled onto the ground. The video then stopped and then Yamazashi appeared on the screen again.

“Well wasn’t that exciting as well!” He said with his overly cheerful voice that was beginning to piss me off. “Now we’re up to the big 3 everyone! Something that I find incredibly funny is that all three of these psychics live in the same place!”

“Hell yeah do you realize what this means! That means the three of us are the most powerful psychics alive!” Toritsuka practically shouted in his head.

“I knew Kusuo and I would be in the top 3, because duh. But I am surprised you made the cut too.” Auira thought with a mocking tone.

“. . . Bitch.”

“Woah I would not want to live in the country that the 3 most powerful psychics live in as well.” Someone from class 3 said.

“Yeah same dude! Do you think they know each other or is it just a coincidence that they all live near each other?” His friend responded.

The general murmuring throughout the room showed that most people were wondering the same thing.

“Now you may all be thinking I’m talking about them all living in the same country, but you're wrong! In fact all three of them live in the same city!”

“Holy shit dude is he for real?!”

“That’s crazy!”

“And that city would be Tokyo, Japan.”

‘I could credit it to luck that he guessed the correct city, but it seems unlikely. I am now half convinced this man is legitimate.’

“Oh shit”

“Ok that's terrifying.” 

“The three most powerful beings on Earth live in the same city as us.” Kaidou responded with a terrified edge to his voice.

“Hey guys it’s all good Tokyo is a huge city, plus it’s not like these top 3 are gonna hurt us or anything.” Kuboyasu said while putting a comforting hand on his friend’s shoulder.

“Yeah you're right, just because they have superpowers doesn’t mean they would automatically use them for evil!”

‘Huh I kind of like this outlook they have. Hopefully if he does end up exposing me they’ll keep this mindset.”

The tension seemed to leave everyone's shoulders after Aren and Kaidou said that. The atmosphere calmed down and people began to focus back on the screen.

“Now the 3rd most powerful psychic alive is a young man who obviously lives in Tokyo.”

“God damn it.” Could be heard in Torituka’s mind, whereas Aiura just had a look of superiority on her face.

“He has the ability to see, communicate, and even channel the spirits of the dead. Ghosts if you will.”

‘Ah now this is getting suspiciously accurate.’

Ordinarily I would expect some people to look at Toritsuka because he constantly claimed he had these abilities. But everyone just thought he was a liar so it appeared no one suspected this mysterious #3 to be him.

“See guys that's not even a scary power for us to fear. I mean sure it’s powerful, but not really dangerous.” Aren said while trying to sound reassuring.

“Y-Yeah I guess you're right.” Kaidou responded, though he didn’t sound like he was very sure of what he was saying.

“Yeah, what a weakling! What a little bitch am I right?” Aiura shouted, to ensure that everyone in the room heard.

“So this guy’s dead?” Nendo asked.

“It’s still super dope to have a psychic ability though Aiura.” Kuboyasu said while ignoring Nendo. 

“Yeah.” Toritsuka murmured while looking defeated at the fact that Aiura was more powerful than he.

“Ah don’t worry about it.” Aiura said, clapping Toritsuka on the shoulder. “You’re still way more powerful than everyone in the world, except for Kusuo and me.” She murmured so that the others around us didn’t hear.

“So far all of the people I have exposed have been over the age of 25. This young man is the first psychic I will be exposing that is under that age. This young man is still in high school.”

“Dude what! As curious as I am, I don’t think it’s right of him to expose a teenager!” Kuboyasu shouted.

“Yeah I agree, that’s kind of messed up, it totally screws with the rest of their lives.” Kaidou said.

“Now you must be curious who this mysterious young man with the abilities all supposed spirit mediums wish they had! His name is. . .” He again paused for dramatic effect. This was beginning to feel more like a magic show than anything else. “Toritsuka Reita!”

'Yare yare, well that answers the question of his validity, why must my life be so difficult.'

“Now you must be curious who this mysterious young man with the abilities all supposed spirit mediums wish they had! His name is. . .” He again paused for dramatic effect. This was beginning to feel more like a magic show than anything else. “Toritsuka Reita!”

‘Well that answers the question of his validity.’

Very slowly, heads turned towards the direction of our table, with mouths agape. 

“WHATTTTT!!!!”

“YOU’RE A PSYCHIC!!”

“AHHHHHHHHH”

“WHAT THE EVER LOVING FUCK!”

“DUDE IS HE SERIOUS!?!?!?!”

“Woah the purple haired guy can do magic?” Nendou said.

“EVERYONE SHUT UP!” Kuboyasu shouted. The sudden silence that came with that was all the more deafening.

“Toritsuka-kun is this true?” Everyone seemed to ask at once.

“Yeah duh, I’ve been trying to tell you guys this for months.”

“Holy shit.” Murmurs of agreement were heard about this very eloquent statement.

“Oh god I just realized you probably use your powers for very perverted reasons.” Chiyo said, while looks of discomfort appeared on all of the girls' faces.

“Ahh Chiyo-chan it’s not nice to assume things! Innocent until proven guilty as they say!” Teruhashi said, even though in her mind she was thinking, ‘Oh god he totally uses his powers in perverted ways. Especially towards me, the perfect pretty girl.’

“Mm! You’re right Kokomi-chan! I’m sorry I assumed things, Toritsuka-kun.”

“It’s okay girls! Let’s continue watching shall we!” Toritsuka said while smiling, and then clapped his hands together in front of him.

‘Ah sounds like I'm in the clear! I thought the initial exposure of my powers would have all of the girls flocking to me, but perhaps the shock of everythings has yet to wear off. Oh well, by the end of this week I’ll have an endless amount of panties available to me!’ Toritsuka thought while having a wistful look upon his face.

‘Ah as expected of Toritsuka.’

“Uhh r-right.” Kaidou said, responding to what Toritsuka said out loud, and with that everyone slowly looked back to the screen even though their minds were still reeling. 

“It is moderately difficult to see evidence of his powers on video as his abilities stem from what he’s able to see that the rest of us cannot. Unfortunately the best I can do is show you all a video of him that shows him channeling a spirit.”

The screen proceeded to show CCTV footage from inside the school. Imu Rifutu and I were walking down the hallway with her blabbering to me about finding her a good man.

‘Ah I remember this day, Rifutu turned out to be the true love master of this school.’

The video shows us walking down the hallway, until Toritsuka comes out of his classroom and interrupts us. It shows Toritsuka noticing Rifutu, and proceeding to look down at the ground for a moment. When he looks up at her you can feel through the screen how his vibe has completely changed.

“Oh pervert, your aura changed when you channeled that spirit.” Aiura says.

“My whole aura changes?! Cool!”

The video continues showing Toritsuka chatting up Rifutu, until I elbow him in the stomach and his entire demeanor changes.

“Oh I remember this day! I thought he was super hot until Saiki elbowed him and his whole vibe changed!” Rifutu shouts from somewhere across the room.

“Saiki-kun, why did you elbow him? Did you not like that he was chatting up Rifutu-chan?” Yumehara says with a smirk.

‘WHAT?! No way would Saiki choose Imu over me! She’s really pretty, but she is nowhere near my level of beauty!’ Teruhashi thought with a neutral look on her face.

‘Yare yare, Teruhashi really knows how to look composed even if she is mad.’

“Yare yare, I elbowed him accidentally, and it happened to knock the spirit out of him. There were no ulterior motives.”

“Hmm well I’m still not convinced.” Yumehara responds, smirking. “Well let’s continue watching then.”

“I know that video was not as clear as the others have been, but unfortunately due to the nature of this young man's abilities, it is difficult to get proper video evidence. Let’s continue onto our penultimate person! Here is the real kicker folks, this young lady not only lives in the same city as Toritsuka, our #3 man, but she in fact attends the same high school as well. What is it with this high school and attracting the most powerful psychics?”

“Oh my god!”

“Well damn, there goes 10 years of my life, gone because of stress.”

“Hey guys, just like with Toritsuka, this person so far hasn’t done anything bad to our school that we know of, so we’re probably in the company of a harmless person.” Kaidou said, shockingly calm for someone of his disposition.

“Yeah guys I know this chick, she won’t hurt you. Her skillset wouldn’t really allow her to anyway, even if she wanted to.” Toritsuka said, attempting to calm everyone down. 

‘That was actually a decent thing for Toritsuka to do, attempting to calm everyone down. If he actually manages to get a girlfriend I will accredit it to him being decent here, and not his psychic abilities.’

“This young lady has fortune telling abilities, the ability to see auras, death sense, crystal map, and premonition. The mere existence of this young woman proves that fortune telling abilities are technically psychic powers. Therefore, seeing as there were no other fortune tellers on my list, y’all might want to ask for a refund from your local fortune teller, since they’re definitely a fraud!” He says with a laugh. 

‘Yare yare, does this man realize he just destroyed an entire career path.’

“Oh! Maybe it’s Aiura!” Yumehara says while looking at her friend with wide eyes.

“Oh? Why do you say that, Chiyopipi?” Aiura asks, looking smug because she knew something the others didn’t.

“Well just like with Toritsuka, you’ve been claiming to have all the abilities he just mentioned, but nobody believed you because nobody believed in psychic abilities at all! So maybe you were telling the truth!” A general murmur of agreement went throughout the room at Yumehara’s statement.

“Well I don’t want to spoil the surprise, so let’s continue watching!” Aiura says with a happy smile.

‘Ah Chiyopipi, people don’t give you enough credit for your intelligence.’ Aiura thought.

“Isn’t that incredible folks! This young lady proved millions of people to be lying with her mere existence!”

‘That was you who proved them to be frauds actually; you exposing her is what did it.’

“This young lady's name is…” He said, pausing once again for dramatic effect. “... Aiura Mikoto!”

“YES I KNEW IT!!!” Yumehara shouted.

Aiura giggled and looked at her friend fondly, while the rest of the room seemed not too shocked at this reveal. 

‘Yare yare I suppose they were expecting this, and it’s not like Aiura can really hurt them, so they won’t be scared of her.’

“Alrighty folks! This is the moment we’ve all been waiting for! 

‘Yare yare, this is it. It’s not like I can really stop this man right now. Even if I turn off the TV, word will still spread over the internet. And even if I turn off all electronics in the world, this man will still find a way to expose me out of spite. Why must my life be so difficult? Why must I deal with grown men who are jealous of my powers? I wish they knew that I would give them up permanently if I could. Yare yare, best to just accept it. I knew with this hand I was given in life that I could never be normal. Yare yare, maybe if I had been friends with Satou this never would have happened. Perhaps his normalness would have infected me. Yare yare. Oh perhaps I could time-travel to kill him? No that won’t do. As much as this man irritates me, I would take my powers being exposed over me becoming a murderer.’

The most powerful person in the whole world not only lives in Japan like the other two, but also goes to the same school! I was really right when I said this school attracts the most powerful psychics!”

“My god why couldn’t my parents have chosen LITERALLY ANYWHERE ELSE to live?!” Someone shouted.

“Ne Hori-kun, just because they are the most powerful person in the world doesn’t mean we should judge them.” Teruhashi said.

‘Leave it to Teruhashi to know the random guy from class 3’s name.’

“Ah yes of course Teruhashi-san!”

A very welcoming atmosphere spread through the cafeteria like wildfire after Teruhashi’s statement. People seemed extremely nonjudgemental just because Teruhashi lightly chastised someone for saying something impetuous. 

‘Yare yare, for the first time in my life I'm actually grateful to Teruhashi. Her saying that will most definitely lighten the blow.’

“Let's get down to it shall we? Now our #1 young man is considerably more powerful than anyone else on this list. This young man's powers are technically endless when he is not wearing a power limiter.”

“Power limiter?! Why would anyone wear that?”

“What does he mean by endless? Surely they’re not all-powerful? Like God or something?”

‘Yare yare, if only they knew.’

“Now you may be wondering why he wears this power limiter. Unfortunately I can not tell you with 100% accuracy as only he knows the answer. My speculation however is that without his power limiters he would be so powerful that his mere existence would blow up the planet. Don’t freak out!” He said while putting his hands in front of him in a placating gesture. “If he has purposely tried to find a way to not blow up the Earth, that means he most likely does not use his powers for evil. None of the videos I found of him showed him using his powers for evil.”

“Dude I feel like he’s trying to make us stay calm, but there is just no way that's possible when we all know that this infinitely powerful person goes to our school.” Kaidou says.

“Yeah I agree, I think it's only natural that we’re apprehensive of this.” Kuboyasu adds.

‘Yare yare, I can’t disagree with that. I would most likely feel some level of fear if I were in their situation, though there's no way to know for sure.’

“I'm just going to name some of his powers to give a sense of who we are dealing with, though not all as that list is endless. Some of his powers include Apport, Astral Projection, Bilocation, Clairvoyance, Cryokinesis, Curse, Electrification, Flight/Levitation, Hydrokinesis, Hypnosis, Invisibility, Mediumship, Memory Alteration, Mind Control, Petrification, Precognition, Psychic Hold, Psychokinesis/Telekinesis, Psychometry, Pyrokinesis, Restoration, Shrinking Power/Size Augmentation, Song Cancellation Laser, Super Strength, Sweating, Telepathy, Teleportation, Thoughtography, Time Travel/Time Leaps, Transformation (Shapeshift, Morph), and X-Ray. My if that isn't a tongue twister!” He says with a laugh, as though he didn’t just shatter billions of people's sense of safety with one sentence.

The silence in the room was like death. A pin could drop and you could hear it, in a room full of hundreds of people. 

‘Did he just say telepathy?! Does that mean this person knows that I’m not actually perfect on the inside. OH GOD DO THEY KNOW I’M IN LOVE WITH SAIKI?!!!’

“...This person… goes to our school?” Yumehara says with an overly calm voice, as though she is completely in shock, which she probably is.

“Well… FUCK.”

‘Very well said Kuboyasu. Yare yare, I suppose shock is better than panic, though when they find out it’s me, the shock will probably increase. Yare yare, what is Kaidou freaking out about now, I can practically feel him screaming in his head.’

‘AHHHH IT'S THE DARK REUNION! THEY’VE SENT AN AGENT OF DARKNESS TO DISPOSE OF ME! NO WAIT SHUN, YOU’RE OVERREACTING. I CAN TAKE WHOEVER THIS ALL POWERFUL PERSON IS! EVEN THOUGH I WASN’T ON THIS LIST OF PSYCHICS, THAT MUST JUST MEAN THAT MY ABILITY BLACK BEAT THAT DWELLS IN MY ARM IS JUST TOO POWERFUL FOR THIS MAN TO BE ABLE TO SENSE. YES THAT MUST BE IT. ‘Yare yare, even with the proof of a higher power Kaidou still lives in a fantasy. Oh what's this I hear? Oh no, I need to squash this right now.’

“Don’t you dare, you two.” I say telepathically to Aiura and Toritsuka who were silently plotting together.

“But Saiki-san, it’ll be great! It’ll totally lessen the blow!” Toritsuka responds telepathically.

“Sorry Kusuo, but it’s going to happen. It’s too good of an opportunity to pass up. Think of all the brand deals we’ll get if we make the name official when he exposes you.” Aiura thinks.

“Yare yare, I refuse to let you two jump up and shout “We’re the PK psychic kids” while striking a pose with me in the middle.”

“Ne Saiki-san, you’re so boring! I could get so many more boobs to touch if they think that I’m part of a psychic group!”

“Ew pervert you're not going to get him to agree if you go at it like that. Watch the master.” Aiura says as she starts shimmying into my personal space and rubbing herself on my arm. “Say Kusuo-kun,” She says sweetly, “Are you sure you won’t let us do this?” She asks with a pouty face.

“I’m sure, and get off me, Teruhashi wants to tackle you right now.” As I say this Aiura looks over to see Teruhashi shooting her death glares. Though her view changes back to the screen when Yamazashi’s voice starts up again, queuing that the period of rest, to let the shock dissipate, is over.

“To be honest I’m kind of scared to reveal this young man's name because he could kill me with just a thought. Let’s hope he doesn’t!” He says with a laugh.

‘Yare yare, this man's theatrics make me want to kill more than anything else.’

“Now here's the moment we have all been waiting for. The most powerful person in the world is named... SAIKI KUSUO! And here is the video evidence.”

While everyone was sitting in shock, the screen showed footage of me walking and wearing my uniform, with Yuuta near me. It then proceeded to show Yuuta accidentally releasing his balloon, and me flying up to grab it. The screen then switched again and showed me outside the school reading a book. It proceeds to show the book flying out of my hand, that is until I reach out and telekinetically stop it.

“There you go folks, that’s it! There were many more videos of him using his powers, but I decided to cut it down to only two, as it would seem tedious to show hundreds of clips. Thank you all for watching, and have a lovely day!”

The screen then buzzed off.

‘Yare yare, here comes the headache.’

“W-w-w-w-wh-wha-what.. Saiki-kun.” Kaidou says.

“Wait Pal? Really?”

“My heads still trying to catch up, but this doesn’t change the fact that we’re your friends Saiki!” Kaidou shouts, as though he’s declaring his eternal love for someone.

‘Wow, that shock died down pretty fast.’ 

“Yeah Chibi’s right! We’ll always support you pal! A pal is a pal, no matter what” Nendou adds.

“I’m kind of in shock right now Saiki, but I’m glad you told us bro.” Kuboyasu says.

“I’m glad too. You’re still with us even though you know our inner thoughts! You’re truly a good friend and person, Saiki-kun.” Teruhashi says, even though she’s internally panicking, I can tell she means what she says.

“This was the secret to your strength! That explains the judo tournament!” Hairo exclaims. ‘Finally another worthy rival other than Nendou. I won’t stop until I beat him!’

“You were born with it Saiki-kun, there's no point in being embarrassed, of course we’ll always support you!” Yumehara says kindly.

‘Oh I didn’t expect them all to try and comfort me. Yare yare, what's this warm feeling in my chest?’

As I hear my friends' declarations of love, all of the other noise in the cafeteria seems nonexistent. 

“Yare yare, you all are such a handful, but I’m grateful that I am able to call you my friends.” I say with a wide smile.

“Offe!” Teruhashi exclaims when she sees my smile.

‘Yare yare, I forgot about this part.’ I think as I start walking up to school, only to see swarms of reporters out front.

“Let us in! We just want an interview with the three of them! Saiki especially, but the other two as well!” One of them shouts.

“I will not allow you to harass my students, especially on my watch.” Mr. Matsuzaki says harshly, while standing in front of the school gate with his arms crossed. Many of the reports shrink away from him after he says this, but the more experienced ones don’t stop trying to get into the school. 

I look to my side to see Kaidou, Nendou, Kuboyasu, Yumehara, Teruhashi, Aiura, and Toritsuka all standing together in a huddle. As I walk closer, I hear them discussing plans of how to intercept me before the media notice me.

“Yare yare, you all have too little faith in me. Like I would ever let the media notice me. I’ve spent my entire life trying to look ordinary, this will be easy.” I say as I walk up to them, and join the huddle. Though as I say that I hear “There they are!” in the distance. Turning around I see all of the reporters looking at us, and some of them begin running towards us.

“Yare yare, I didn’t account for Teruhashi’s presence alerting them! At least I can do this now.” I say as I grab onto Kaidou’s arm, as he was the closest to me. After ensuring everyone was touching in some way I look up and smirk at the reporters that were about to reach us, before teleporting myself, and everyone in the circle, into the school.

‘Yare yare, maybe this won’t be so bad after all.’
