Chapter Text

He looked over the 1-A student with distain. How he was adored. How he stood by the other glimmering golden children.

Kirishima Eijiro.

How he loathed him. That saccharine warmness, the overly friendly nature.

Teacher's pet.

He didn't blame him though. If he could be Sensei's favorite, he wouldn't hesitate. He'd do whatever it took.

For now, that meant playing nice.

But... he was a member of 1-B. He could validate a small portion of his hate and disgust. And Monoma was a perfect scapegoat for the blame.

He was staring again. The steely eyes of heroism made him want to scoff.

But to do so would make people question. He had created a personality for the hopefuls that would contradict his distain.

If only that silver studded maniac wouldn't be so antagonistic, it would be easier to ignore him. He needed to stick to his own end of his job and butt out of his.

Tetsutetsu Tetsutetsu.

An unneeded fool that only complicated his own work.

Well, if the extra wanted to stare, he'd give him something to stare at.

"Hey Midobro! Partner up with me!" Kirishima said with a fanged smile as he threw an arm over his shoulder. The verdant boy smiled shyly back, still not having fully overcome his shyness.

"S-Sure Kirishima. That sounds great."

Kirishima hid his smirk at the simmering anger behind him from Tetsutetsu. Sensei had made it clear what the shared goal was. And Kirishima knew that he had the advantage.

Bringing Midoriya Izuku safely into the fold of their group. No doubt it was to hurt the already shriveled All Might. Even a blind man could see how much he favored Midoriya. Wouldn't it be so manly to see what he could pull off in his emancipated form? To see how much of a man he could be to try and get back Midoriya? Kirishima wanted to see how much of a man existed now that all those hulking muscles were gone.

Kirishima didn't think there'd be much, but it would be fun to find out.

"Hold it. This is a joint class exercise," Tetsutetsu interrupted. Kirishima looked over at the silver skinned copy. Man, Tomura was right, he was like a reskin on a video game.

That said, no one could be the original.

"Hasn't your class already said they don't want to partner with us?" Kirishima asked, posturing between Tetsutetsu and Midoriya.

"I don't want to get dinged on my grade for not pairing up with someone from another class. What do you say Midoriya?"

"I guess it makes sense. Considering we're going to be working with you in the future as heroes-" he began to enter a little mutter storm as both hardening boys wanted to roll their eyes at his tangent. But they were to busy focusing on their little stare down to notice Izuku coming to a conclusion.

"Okay! I'll find another partner! Good luck you two!" Izuku said scuttling off, much to the twos ire.

"Looks like we're partners."

"I can't wait to show you how much I've improved. You're going down."

"I beat you at the sports festival."

"And you won't beat me again!"

Honenuki Juzo was quick to snatch Izuku from the two hard heads. Both of them really needed to calm down and get over the sport's festival.

Really, what would Sensei say if he knew they were having their little in fighting?

As Sensei's UA confidant and young Izuku's soon to be formal protector, he would have to make sure the two "bodyguards" could at least be civil to one another in front of Sensei's son. For now though, he had to have a nice safe bought of training with Izuku. Nothing like a nice quirk to "soften" the blows.

"Thanks for partnering up with me. I guess Tetsutetsu-san really wanted to spar with Kirishima."

"No worries. I'm sure it'll be good to let them let off some steam."

Izuku nodded his head in agreement. Goodness, how was this little innocent slip of a hero so troublesome and yet so eager to please even related to their mastermind of a sensei? He was just too sweet to believe it.

Then again, the words came directly from Sensei, and no one was to ever doubt or question Sensei.
