Author’s Note: Yes, I know these are out of order. Yes, I plan on fixing it once they are all typed up. Yes, I realize this may not be as good as my others because I don’t have the rough draft of it written down. Yes this one and July 6th are based off of the comic where Class 1-A gets turned into children and I find it adorable, but I want to do my own take on it. The comic happens before July 5th and July 6th
~~Story Begins~~
Aizawa did not lower his glare at Power Loader, he did not care that he could be terrifying a seven-year old Midoriya who was in his arms, he was not paid enough for this. Yesterday was bad enough when 19 of his students were turned into children and he left Midoriya in charge of them because Midoriya was the only one who wasn’t affected.
“Majima,” Aizawa said. “For once, Problem Child-” he felt Midoriya flinch in his arm at the nickname, “-wasn’t affected by something. Did you purposely go out of your way to get him involved?”
“No! I didn’t even know he was in the lab talking to Hatsume about upgrading his costume,” Majima said, sweating under his yellow mask. “I thought she had left to go to lunch when I was trying out the machine! Nothing had exploded for five minutes! Midoriya should be fine by tomorrow so everything will be okay.”
Aizawa narrowed his eyes. “No. Whatever you want to ask me right now the answer is most definitely no,” Aizawa said.
“C’mon, Aizawa, please just loan me Midoriya every so often! He distracts Hatsume long enough for her to not be exploding things,” Majima said with a whine. “I get some peace and quiet, she gets a break, you get a break from Midoriya’s troubles.”
“S-sir, y-you can let me down,” Midoriya said in a small voice that sounded way too broken for a seven year old. “I-I promise I won’t cause you anymore problems or cause troubles. I-I like to think that I’m good at being quiet so if I could just have a notebook, pencil, and a corner I-I won’t bother you.”
Aizawa frowned and looked at his child student now, his green eyes were dull and looking down at the ground, his already small body (Aizawa knows he had to do some research because he’s sure that a seven-year old shouldn’t be so light) curled up on himself. He looked at Majima before turning around and walking away.
“Absolutely not, Majima,” Aizawa said. “Let’s go, Midoriya. You are going to be introduced to your classmates.”
“Yes sir,” Midoriya said. “You can still let me go. I can walk behind you.”
“Midoriya, do you have an idea of what happened?” Aizawa asked.
Midoriya shrugged. “No, but it’s possibly my fault. Everything is my fault,” Midoriya said. He took a glance at Aizawa and looked back down. “A-are you a teacher, sir?”
Aizawa blinked. “I am Midoriya, but call me Aizawa. I’m your homeroom teacher at U.A. Also, this situation is not your fault. It’s Majima's fault for not making sure the lab was empty before trying his experiment.”
“I see. I’m sure I was the cause of whatever made me into a child, sir. All of my teachers say that I’m a Problem Child and that it’s always my fault. So, I’m sure it’s the same way here,” Midoriya said. “I’m also sorry for wasting your time with me if what you say is true, about me being one of your students.
Aizawa stopped walking and stared at the child in his arms. “Kid, look at me, please,” Aizawa said.
Midoriya looked up at him with watery eyes. “This situation is no way your fault. You are one of my hardest working students in quirk usage and studies so you do not waste my time. I am a teacher and it is my job to help you grow so you and the rest of your class are not wasting my time.”
“I-I have a quirk?” Midoriya said in surprise. “Th-that can’t be right. The doctor said I was quirkless so I must have somehow found a way to trick everyone, even though I know U.A. says quirkless students can apply, but everyone tells me I’ll just be getting in the way like I do now.”
“Midoriya, you most certainly have a quirk, and everyone who knew you when you were younger is wrong,” Aizawa said. “You are already a hero to most of your classmates and to a lot of people. Now school is about to start and I’m going to place you under the care of your classmates okay?”
“C-can’t I just stay with you?” Midoriya asked as Aizawa started to walk again. “Like I’m interested in all of their quirks, but I don’t have a notebook, and I really don’t want to be a testing dummy or a punching bag for them to show off their quirks.”
Aizawa felt his heart drop to his stomach. “Kid, if your classmates use their quirks against you in any way that you don’t feel comfortable with, let me know and I’ll give them detention.”
They reached outside of Classroom 1-A’s door and Aizawa placed Midoriya down who instantly went behind his legs. He felt a tiny hand brush against his pant leg and he waited for the tugging sensation of someone grabbing it, when nothing happened.
“You ready? Midoriya?” Aizawa asked.
“No, are you sure I can’t just stay with you?” Midoriya asked again.
“Kid, you’ll get bored with all the adult stuff I have to do. Your future classmates will make sure that you have a lot more fun and your class president will make sure you will always be safe along with the vice president,” Aizawa said.
Aizawa opened the door and the class were at their desks, but they were still talking loudly over the fact that Midoriya wasn’t in class.
“Aizawa-sensei,” Ilda said standing up. “We cannot seem to find Midoriya.”
“Who cares about the damn nerd?” Bakugou yelled. “It’s his fault for -” he noticed the green hair from behind Aizawa. “Oh freak no. I am not taking care of the baby nerd!”
“Is that Midoriya?” Todoroki asked as the class all focused on the little Midoriya who tried to hide behind their teacher.
“Deku-kun, you’re such a cutie,” Urarkara said.
“Everyone quiet,” Aizawa said, using his quirk to silence them. “Yes, this is Midoriya. The same accident that happened with all of you yesterday, happened this morning with Midoriya. Now, since Midoriya had successfully kept all of you in line and out of trouble, it shouldn’t be that difficult for all of you to keep track of him.”
“Understood, sir!” Class 1-A said minus Bakugou who was glaring at the child.
~~
That was from this morning, and Midoriya had already escaped his classmates three times which means that he had found Aizawa three times. It’s not even 10 yet and Aizawa had given up on his students with this task.
Midoriya was a quiet child like he said he was. He stayed in the corner with a notebook and pen, he was constantly writing in it and barely bothered anyone in the teacher’s lounge.
“Let’s go, Kid,” Aizawa said. Midoriya lifted his head up only to gasp as Aizawa wrapped his capture scarf around him and picked him up. “Your classmates are irresponsible, Midoriya. You’ve been with me for the last fifteen minutes and they haven’t called or texted me to let me know they lost you.”
“Whoa! So cool Aizawa! But uh, where are we going?” Midoriya asked as Aizawa left the teacher’s lounge. “And I can walk, sir!”
“Principal Nedzu wants to see me and since you seem to keep finding me, it’s only logical to bring you with me,” Aizawa said. “And I know you can walk, but I thought you wouldn’t mind being carried like this.”
When they got to Nedzu’s office, he placed Midoriya down and they both walked into the office. Midoriya walked in first and Aizawa watched as he saw Kaminari round the corner only to back up upon seeing Aizawa.
“Kaminari? Can I help you?” Aizawa said.
“Uh..uhm, no?” Kaminari said as sparks escaped from his body. “Nothing at all, Sensei. Ilda just asked me to go retrieve some paper for Midoriya and uh I might have gotten lost?”
Aizawa watched as Kaminari turned around and ran back in the direction he came.
“They can’t even make up a good excuse,” Aizawa grumbled as he stepped into the Principal's office. He looked at the white mammal who was talking to Midoriya. “Hello, Principal Nedzu.”
“Ah, Aizawa, I see you brought Midoriya with you. Any particular reason?” Nedzu asked as Midoriya went into the corner.
“Because teenage Midoriya is a better babysitter to nineteen elementary hero students than nineteen teenagers,” Aizawa said. “I’m also concerned with how Midoriya is right now. He said some concerning things earlier this morning.”
“Ah, yes. I have already started an investigation into the Aldera school district and have sent more than enough evidence to the police, but I’m still going to comb through all the security,” Nedzu said. He put his paws under his chin. “Don’t worry, even young Midoriya will go back to being the hero fan. It seems like Majima’s experiment happened at the wrong time for seven year old Midoriya.”
“What do you mean?” Aizawa asked.
Nedzu chuckled in a bittersweet style. “Aizawa, for someone who is always teaching about situational awareness and to pay attention, you haven’t realized the rivalry Yagi has with you over Midoriya.”
“Why does he have a rivalry with me over the Kid?” Aizawa said. “It’s obvious that Midoriya looks at him like he’s the world and vice versa.”
“Yes, but Midoriya looks at you like you’re his father,” Nedzu said. “Something in which Yagi wants Midoriya to look at him with.”
Aizawa raised an eyebrow because no one except for Hitoshi and Eri have really looked at him like a father figure. He took a quick glance at Midoriya to see the young student in the corner of the room with a tablet, noise-cancelling headphones on his ears, and he was scribbling in his notebook faster than he had all day.
“Aizawa, tell me, does this person look familiar to you?” Nedzu said, turning a computer monitor towards the underground hero.
Aizawa looked at the picture and had to blink a couple of times. A man with long black hair that was obviously taken care of and brushed was pulled back into a braid, his black eyes were in the same shape as Midoriya’s green eyes, his skin was tanned but there were scars on his shoulders down his arms that the black muscle shirt shows off.
“Minus the way the man obviously cares about his appearance and his eye shape,” Aizawa said, crossing his arms, “he looks like me.”
“His name is Midoriya Hisashi, the American Underground Hero, Pyro,” Nedzu said. “He was murdered 9 years ago in Japan while he was visiting his ex-wife and son.”
“He’s Midoriya’s father?” Aizawa said. “Well, that explains why he didn’t seem to want to leave my side.”
“The anniversary of his death was four days ago,” Nedzu said. “Aizawa, young Midoriya watched his father get murdered and no one believed him because of his quirk status at the time. I think, Midoriya didn’t want to leave your side because -”
“Majima’s machine also reverts his memories to the time and Midoriya had just witnessed his father’s death,” Aizawa said. “So, he’s afraid something might happen to me as well. That explains why he was protective at the USJ.”
“Now, there is something else we need to discuss about Midoriya and don’t worry,” Nedzu said. “Whatever happens to Yagi that you decide to do I will have no knowledge of on one condition.”
“Which is?” Aizawa said.
“Midoriya becomes my personal student. I’m having him do an analysis on his classmates right now from the Sports Festival. I have always been interested in his analysis and now’s my chance to see it in action!” Nedzu said.
‘I’m sorry Problem Child, but -’
“If I get a chance to punch All Might in the face without consequences then sure, why not?” Aizawa said with a shrug.
~~The Next Day~~
“Everyone but Midoriya has failed,” Aizawa said walking into the classroom. “Can someone please tell me how nineteen of you couldn’t keep track of one child but one teenager could keep track of nineteen of you with little problems.”
“Kaminari, I thought you said you didn’t tell him,” Mina said with a whine.
“I didn’t!” Kaminari said. “I swear.”
“That’s because Midoriya had found me, all three times that you guys lost him,” Aizawa said. “Did it never occur to you to contact me after the third time? If Midoriya had truly wandered away and been taken by the League of Villains we wouldn’t know.”
“I told you all that the damn nerd would have been perfectly fine in a corner with a notebook and pen,” Bakugou shouted. “But no, you believed you had to overwhelm him.”
“You didn’t come looking for me either, Kacchan,” Midoriya said with a small pout.
“That’s because I knew where you were going to be, damn nerd,” Bakugou shouted back.
“Midoriya, stay after class because we need to talk. Now everyone, we are going to learn how to take care of a young child during a hero mission,” Aizawa said.
