He reminded you of a cat in that way—his aloof nature belied a fierce protectiveness that would easily destroy anyone who threatened someone he cared about. It was beautiful.
You weren't a threat, so what was the harm in letting him monitor Eri with you? “Sure,” you conceded. “Stay.”
