Chapter Text

Percy Jackson stretched as he walked out of the hostel he and Annabeth had booked for their week in Paris.

“Look!” Percy exclaimed, pointing in front of him.

From his side, Annabeth sighed, and grabbed his hand with her own. “Yes, the Eiffel tower, we saw it when we got here last night, Seaweed Brain.”

Percy was visibly bouncing on his feet in excitement. “I know, but it’s so cool! We’re in the city of love, Annie.”

Annabeth rolled her eyes at how cheesy her fiancé was being. “Which is exactly why we decided to come here to celebrate our engagement. I just don’t understand how you can still be so excited to see everything when we were already here before after helping Hermes.”

Percy just shook his head. “That was different. We didn’t choose to come here, it was what he had selected for us, as well thought out as it was. But this time, we get to explore at our leisure and we have more than one night to walk around. I know you’ve been wanting to go to the Louvre Museum since we were last here.”

Annabeth pressed a kiss to his cheek before responding. “True. Speaking of which, think we can go today? I know we have all week to go but it’s the largest museum in the world, Percy. We can’t not go.”

Percy squeezed her hand. “Of course. I’m here to celebrate you, after all.”

“You’re always celebrating me.” She replied with a smirk.

It was Percy’s turn to press a kiss to her cheek. “Yes, but this time I’m getting to celebrate you as my fiancée.”

Annabeth stuck her tongue out at him. “You’re so cheesy.”

Percy stuck his tongue out back at her. “And you’re so beautiful.”

Annabeth blushed and looked away as she playfully shoved him away from her, letting go of his hand in the process.

The couple chuckled and started to walk along the Seine.

As they were passing a nice looking bakery, Percy’s stomach rumbled, and he looked pleadingly at Annabeth.

Annabeth sighed. “Fine. It’s not every day that we get to have French pastries.

The door to the bakery chimed as they walked in, grabbing the attention of the short, Asian woman standing at the register.

“Hi, how can I help you guys today?” She asked sweetly.

Percy, after a bit of looking around as they walked in, opened his mouth to speak, but before he could get a word out, a loud crash came from the back of the store.

The woman working, cringed and quickly apologized. “I’m so sorry about that. My daughter can be quite… Clumsy.” She said, laughing awkwardly as a young, teenage girl of about 15 walked into the bakery, rubbing the back of her head.

The woman looked her over before smiling. “Are you alright, Marinette? You really need to be more careful coming down the stairs.”

The girl, Marinette, looked shyly down at her mother. “Yeah, I’m alright, Maman, just missed a step.” Looking around, Marinette finally spotted the couple that had just walked in. “Oh! Tourists! You’re at the right place. This is the best bakery in all of Paris. You should really try the croissants, they’re my Papa’s specialty. Oh! And the macaroons, I help make those.”

Marinette looked over at her mom and smiled. “Anyways, I’m meeting up with Alya, Nino, and Adrien, so I’ll see you guys later!” She exclaimed before making her way out of the store.

Percy chuckled once she was gone. “She seems like a nice girl.”

The woman sighed. “She is, but she can be a bit headstrong.”

Annabeth giggled and lightly elbowed Percy’s side. “I know someone who was just like her at her age.”

“Yeah, but she wasn’t going on life-threatening missions at her age.” Percy mumbled under his breath.

Annabeth stomped on his foot, earning a squeak of pain from the dark-haired male.

Annabeth smiled at the woman in front of them. “You said she was your daughter?” She asked politely.

The woman nodded. “Yes. My husband and I run this bakery. I’m Sabine.”

“It’s nice to meet you, Sabine. I’m Annabeth, and this is my fiancé, Percy.” Annabeth replied, once again taking Percy’s hand in hers.

Sabine clasped her hands together and brought them up to her chest. “Oh, that’s wonderful! Did you guys just get engaged?”

Annabeth nodded and smiled sweetly. “Yes, he just proposed last week, so now we’re here in France to celebrate.”

Percy smiled down at Annabeth and smiled as he placed a kiss atop her head.

Sabine’s smile only widened. “How exciting! I’ll tell you what, pastries on the house today. Think of it as an engagement gift.”

Annabeth’s eyes widened. “Oh no, we can’t accept that, you don’t even know us.”

“Oh honey,” Sabine started, “It’s perfectly alright! We would do this for anyone. Now, what would you two lovebirds like?”

Percy could tell Annabeth wanted to refuse, but watched as the fight left her. “We’ll take 2 butter croissants, 2 chocolate croissants, and a box of macaroons. Whatever flavor you think is best.” Percy answered.

“Percy!” Annabeth exclaimed. “You can’t ask for so much!”

“Oh no, dear, it’s alright.” Sabine assured her. “My daughter was right when she said the croissants and macaroons are some of our best sellers. It wouldn’t be right to send you on your way without any.”

Annabeth sighed. “If you’re sure. Could we perhaps leave a tip instead?”

Sabine smiled. “If it would make you feel better dear, then of course.” She said, tapping the tips jar.

Annabeth released the breath she hadn’t realized she’d been holding. “Thank you. I would feel awful to leave without paying anything. You’re so kind. No wonder so many people love your bakery.” She replied, digging through her wallet before dropping ten euros into the jar just as Sabine handed Percy their pastries.

“There you go, dears. I hope you enjoy your time here in Paris. Feel free to stop by if you need anything, alright?” She told them sweetly.

Percy nodded. “Of course. Thank you again.” He replied, setting a hand on Annabeth’s lower back to guide her out of the bakery, Sabine waving at them as they left.

The bell chimed once more as they left.

The couple found a bench to sit on nearby and quickly opened the box of goodies they were given.

“I still can’t believe she gave these to us for free.” Annabeth commented as she grabbed a chocolate croissant and began to eat it, sighly delightedly the moment the pastry entered her mouth.

“Her daughter was right. These croissants are amazing. The best I’ve ever had.” Annabeth took another bite and moaned, making Percy chuckle.

“Whoa girl, calm down.” He said through a shit-eating grin.

Annabeth only glared at him as she reached for another.

Percy swatted her hand. “Oh no, that one’s for me. You can have one of the butter croissants and then move onto the macaroons. Or we could save those for later.”

Annabeth only reached for the macaroons. “Oh no, if we save them, you’re just gonna eat them all. I have to get them while I can.”

Percy chuckled and grabbed a macaroon from the box, sighing in delight as it touched his tongue.

They continued to eat their pastries in silence until, “I think Sally and Sabine would really get along,” Annabeth said quietly.

Percy thought as he chewed, and waited till he had swallowed to answer. “Yeah, I think they would too. If mom owned a shop and had a newly engaged couple come in, I’m positive she would’ve been just like Sabine. If we ever bring her to Paris, we’ll have to introduce the two of them.”

Annabeth nodded as she stuffed the last macaroon into her mouth.

“Hey!” Percy whined. “I wanted that.” He said with a pout.

Annabeth stuck out her tongue. “Too slow.”

She jumped up from the bench they were seated on. “Now come on, I wanna get to the museum.”

“I wanna get to the museum,” Percy said under his breath mockingly, earning himself a punch in the arm from his fianc é

“Watch it, or you’re sleeping alone tonight.”

Percy blanched. “No no! I’m sorry, Annie, I promise to behave.” He said, trailing behind her dejectedly.

Annabeth smirked. “That’s what I thought.” She said, coming to a stop and holding her hand out as she looked back to him.

Percy instantly perked up and grabbed hold of his fianc ée’s hand happily, a smile now coating his face as they walked over to the museum.

Chapter Text

“Girl, what took you so long?” Alya said and Marinette strolled up to where the female had set up a big picnic blanket.

“Sorry, sorry! I sorta kinda fell down the stairs on my way here.” Marinette blushed with embarrassment. “And of course it was when maman was with a customer too. They must think I’m so clumsy.” She muttered, hiding her face in her hands.

Alya laughed. “Everyone already knows how clumsy you are, Marinette. Who cares if a couple of strangers witnessed one of your fits? It’s not like you’re gonna see them again.”

Marinette heaved a sigh as she lifted her head. “I guess you’re right. They’ll be long gone by the time I’m home.”

Just now taking the time to look around, Marinette’s face scrunched in confusion. “Where’s Nino? And Adrien?” She asked.

“Nino went to go get lunch. He completely forgot he was responsible for food this week. As for Adrien… I don’t know. He hasn’t showed up yet, but I’m sure he’s on his way.” Alya replied, studying Marinette for a moment before a sound behind the bluenette drew her attention away.

“Speak of the devil,” She muttered. “Hey boys!” Alya called out, causing Marinette to twist around where she sat.

Looking up, she spotted both Nino and Adrien strutting towards them, Nino with a few plastic bags in hand, and Adrien holding a hand up in a wave.

“Hey, dudettes! Look who I ran into on my way back from the store.” Nino said as he sat the bags down on the blanket.

Marinette ignored him in return for staring at Adrien as he sat down next to her. “H-hi! Andriem- I mean Adrien! G-glad you could make it to the bicnic- I mean picnic! I’m glad you could make it to the group picnic this week!” Marinette blushed as she stuttered, but quickly forgot about her mess up as Adrien, perfect, handsome, Adrien, smiled at her.

“Me too. I’m sorry I missed out last week. But dad wouldn’t let me reschedule the photoshoot. You know how he is.” Adrien replied.

Marinette only nodded as she reached for one of the sandwiches Nino had bought.

“It’s such a shame, dude.” Nino commented. “I wish your dad would let you do more stuff with us. At least he’s loosened up a bit though since we first met you a few years ago.”

Adrien nodded. “Yeah. I still might not be able to do as much as you guys, but I’m glad he’s finally giving me a bit more freedom when it comes to hanging out with you guys.” Adrien replied, grabbing a sandwich of his own and taking a small nibble from it.

“Speaking of photo shoots…” Alya began, giving Marinette a look that she knew meant trouble.

Marinette’s eyes widened, and she shook her head, trying to get Alya to stop. The brunette only ignored her friend, and turned to face Adrien as she continued. “Marinette just finished up her latest fashion collection and needs someone to model for her, so she can post them on her website. So how about it, pretty boy? You down for another modeling gig?” She asked, mouth upturned in a grin.

Adrien looked over at Marinette, who was even more of a blushing mess now than she was earlier, and smiled.

“Sure! Anything for a friend like you, Marinette.” He said with a grin.

“I actually have some free time after lunch if you want to get it done today. The sooner it’s done, the sooner you can put them on your page, right?” He asked.

Marinette nodded excitedly. Adrien Agreste was going to wear her designs! Designs she had modeled after…. Chat Noir.

So now, not only was her crush going to be modeling for her but… He was going to be modeling clothes inspired by her favorite superhero.

Marinette blushed again.

The group of friends quickly fell into easy chatter as they ate and laughed with each other.

Before long, they were walking through the bakery and upstairs to Marinette’s room, biding hello to Tom and Sabine as they passed through.

Once in Marinette’s room, Alya and Nino sat down on the chaise, while Adrien stood around.

“So, what’s the inspiration for your collection, Marinette?” Adrien asked curiously.

Marinette blushed. “Promise not to laugh?” She asked, directing the question to all three of her friends.

They nodded. “Of course. I would never laugh at your work, Marinette. I know how hard you work on it.” Adrien replied.

Marinette’s blush deepened. “Well uh… It’s actually inspired by…By Chat Noir.” She said quietly.

“C-Chat Noir?” Adrien stammered.

Marinette nodded. “He… I think he’s really cool.” She said quietly. “I know a lot of people think that Ladybug is the better superhero, and that Chat Noir isn’t really necessary, since Ladybug can cleanse akumas all by herself, but I… I think he’s amazing. He’s really important to Ladybug’s success, and she couldn’t do what she does without him. He’s essential to her. To Paris.” She continued, just as quietly.

Looking up from where she was fiddling with her hands, she saw Adrien furiously blinking away tears.

Why would that make him cry? Oh no! Is he a Ladybug stan? Did I upset him by talking about how amazing Chat Noir is?

Before she could voice her concern, Alya cut in, “Oooooh, sounds like someone has a bit of a crush on one of Paris’s superheroes,” she said with a grin.

Marinette blushed yet again. “I do not!” She retorted. “I just think people don’t give Chat Noir enough credit where due.”

“Anyways!” She continued before Alya could say anything else. She walked over to where she had stored her collection and began pulling out articles of clothes. “I have a line for both girls and guys, so we’ll just do the guys line for now, and I’ll find someone else to model the girls later.” She explained, holding up a black hoodie, the pocket lined with green fabric, as well as the sleeve cuffs, with a little green paw up on the front left, a large, identical paw print adorning the back. The hood itself had little ears attached.

She handed the hoodie over to Adrien for him to put on, and when she finally risked glancing at him, she saw him looking it over with a look similar to awe coating his face.

“This is amazing, Marinette.” Adrien complimented as he pulled it on over his shirt.

“And it’s so soft.” He said, and a noise that she could’ve sworn sounded like a purr came from him, earning a chuckle from Alya and Nino, who Marinette had temporarily forgotten were there.

“No, seriously.” Adrien added. “How did you make it so soft? I don’t think even my father has ever made anything like this.”

Marinette blushed. “W-well, a designer never reveals her secrets.” She said with a wink.

Adrien chuckled. “Fine, fine, don’t tell me. But I am gonna have to ask that you make one of these for me.”

Marinette only nodded, speechless. Adrien wanted to wear something she made! This day couldn’t get any better.

Just as she was about to tell Adrien where to stand, an alarm went off on her phone.

Frowning, Marinette sat down the camera she had picked up and went over to her phone.

It was her akuma alarm that had gone off.

A similar alarm went off on Adrien’s phone, and the blonde-haired boy paled.

The two teens looked over at each other at the same time and, simultaneously, they began to speak.

“I’m sorry, we’re gonna have to postpone this,  I forgot! I uh.. I… I’ve got to help.. I’ve got to help my father taste test some new recipes! Super secret, no one else can try them!”

“Sorry, Marinette, I have to leave! Nathalie says it’s urgent! Father- Father must need something, yeah! See you later!” Adrien exclaimed, stripping the hoodie from his body and rushing down the stairs.

Marinette ushered Alya and Nino from her room, apologizing along the way.

Alya only gave her a knowing look, and helped a confused Nino out of the bakery as Marinette ran and hid.

Chapter Text

To say Annabeth was in awe, would be a bit of an understatement.

“Percy, look!” She exclaimed, pointing towards two statues standing on either side of the walkway in front of them.

Percy squinted his eyes. “What exactly am I looking at?” He asked. “Oh! Are those mythological creatures! Have we fought them!?”

Annabeth hit his arm. “No, Seaweed Brain, those are the Lamassu. They’re protective spirits that guarded entrances in ancient Assyria that date as far back as 3000 B.C. They’re far older than the ancient Greeks.”

Percy nodded, pretending to understand. “So basically they’re old, winged, gatekeepers who say ‘boo’.”

Annabeth sighed. “They’re not those kinds of spirits, dumbass, and you know it.”

Percy laughed, ducking out of reach of Annabeth’s arm to avoid another hit from the girl.

“Perseus Jackson, if you don’t behave, I’m telling Sally and we will seat you in timeout.”

“Y-yes ma’am.” He replied nervously.

“No need to get mom involved though.” He muttered under his breath as they walked.

It wasn’t long before something else caught their interest.

“Hey, isn’t that Cupid?” He asked Annabeth, pointing towards a statue of a winged male holding on to a woman. “Or is it Eros?”

Annabeth nodded. “Yep, it’s Cupid. That’s Psyche Revived by Cupid’s Kiss, a statue made by Antonio Canova. It’s supposed to represent the love story between Psyche and Cupid.”

Percy scoffed. “Why does he get such a cute statue? The guy’s a jerk.”

Annabeth raised an eyebrow. “Since when do you have a problem with Cupid?” A few moments of silence passed before Annabeth said “You know what, nevermind. I don’t think we’ve met a god that doesn’t have a problem with you. Aside from your dad that is.”

Ignoring her last statement, Percy said, “It’s not me that has the problem with Cupid. Well, I guess it’s more Eros I don’t like. Don’t you remember what Jason told us, back when we were fighting Gaea? He and Nico apparently had a run in with Eros. They wouldn’t tell me what happened, but fuck Eros.”

Annabeth frowned. “Oh, right. Well, we’ll just walk past this before you pick a fight with a statue.” She said, proceeding to indeed walk away from the statue.

“Hey! I wouldn’t fight a statue. I’m not that stupid.” He said, following after his fianc é.

Annabeth only gave him a pointed look before taking his hand in hers and guiding them deeper into the museum.

“This folks, is the oldest exhibit here at the Louvre. Welcome to Egypt.” A passing tourguide was saying to his group.

“How old are Ladybug and Chat Noir?” One of the kids asked curiously.

“Yeah, I heard they found information on them here a few years ago!” Someone else spoke up.

Percy looked over at Annabeth as the group faded away. “Who’s Ladybug and Chat Noir? What are they talking about? Do they worship some insect and cat? Oh! Are they Egyptian gods? Or entities?”

Annabeth shook his head. “I don’t know. I’m not too versed on Egyptian mythology, but I don’t recognize the names.”

“Wow, even you don’t know, Wise Girl? That’s shocking.” Percy gaped.

Annabeth only glared at him. “Shut it, Seaweed Brain. I may be smart, but I don’t know everything… Yet.”

Percy kissed her cheek. “You’re way smarter than me, so I’d say that counts for something.”

“Everyone’s smarter than you.” She retorted back.

Percy gasped. “How rude. I rescind my kiss. You don’t deserve it.”

“Too late. No take backsies.” Annabeth said, sticking out her tongue.

Percy smirked. “Well, if you want to play that game…”

“Perseus Jackson-” Was all she had time to mutter in warning before Percy scooped his arms around her and started planting little kisses all over her face and neck, making Annabeth giggle.

“Stop! That tickles!” She exclaimed with a shriek.

“Well then you shouldn’t have tried to keep my kiss. You brought this on yourself, Wise Girl.”

“Get off of me, Seaweed Brain, we’re in public!”

“Who cares? I want to love on my fiancée so that’s exactly what I’m going to do.” Percy replied before pressing a kiss to her lips, arms looping around her waist.

Annabeth’s arms came up to wrap around his neck as she leaned into the kiss briefly before pulling back, resting her forehead on his.

“I love you, Annie.” Percy said, eyes closing as he pressed a kiss to her forehead.

Annabeth raised a hand to rest on his cheek.

“I love you too, Perce. I can’t wait to marry you.” She replied softly.

“Me neit-”

A loud explosion down the hall interrupted Percy before he could finish.

“WHAT DO YOU MEAN, I’M FIRED?” A booming voice met them as they ran towards the commotion.

They came to a stop as a pillar came crashing down in front of them. And on top…

A woman stood atop of the pillar, laughing maniacally.

“You think you can fire me? Well think again!” She bellowed.

The woman’s skin had turned to copper, her work uniform having transformed into a metal hoop skirt dress.

Percy’s eyes widened as he grabbed Riptide from his pocket and extended it. “What the hell is that?”

“Percy! There’s children nearby!” Annabeth scolded.

“What the h-e-double hockey sticks is that?” He said instead.

Annabeth face palmed before bringing out a dagger of her own.

“I am Keyper! And I shall be granted access everywhere!”

Percy glanced over at Annabeth. “Keyper? Is that another monster I’m unaware of?” He asked.

Annabeth shook her head. “No. I’m not even familiar with her. Maybe she’s from the French lore?” She questioned aloud.

A scream broke from their right, gathering their attention as Keyper pointed a finger at a group of tourists, turning them into a set of keys, which she picked up and pocketed.

“Alright, now, which one of you is going to give me my all access pass?” Keyper asked maliciously.

Annabeth turned to Percy. “You keep her busy. I’ll try and get everyone out of here.”

Percy nodded. He wasn’t one to challenge Annabeth’s plans.

“Hey! Metal head! You want all access? Well I’ll give you access straight to the Underworld.” Percy exclaimed.

Keyper stopped on her raging path of keying people, and instead turned and strutted over to Percy, who had Riptide held in front of him, ready to drag it through her.

“The name is Keyper! Not Metal Head!” The woman screeched.

“I don’t give a damn what you’re called. Only that I stop you from hurting anyone else.” Percy exclaimed before striking. Riptide, however, only went straight through her, making Percy stumble forward and ducking away in a roll when Keyper shot her power at him.

“Shit.” Percy mumbled. “I should’ve been able to touch you. That means…” Percy muttered to himself, thinking out loud.

His eyes widened. “Hey, Annabeth!?” Percy shouted. “This isn’t a monster.” He ducked out of the way of yet another blast. “She’s mortal! Riptide went straight through her. And not in a good way!”

He quietly heard Annabeth mutter, “shit” before making her way over to him.

Distracted by his finacée, Percy was blind to the attack directed his way.

Percy! ” Annabeth cried out in warning.

Too slow. He turned too slow.

By the time he turned around, the light was directly in front of him. He held up Riptide in an attempt to block it and-

A black string wrapped around his torso and dragged him out of the line of the attack at the last second.

Chapter Text

“That was a close one.” Ladybug said to the dark-haired man now wrapped up in her yoyo.

He looked up at her in confusion.

“You never fail to amaze me, m’lady.” Chat Noir piped up from where he stood leaning on his baton beside her.

Ladybug rolled her eyes. “Save the flirting for another day, kitty cat, we’ve got work to do.”

Chat smiled. “And it seems we came to work at the purr-fect mew-ment.” The black cat superhero purred.

“Thank you for saving this dumbass.” Piped a voice from their left.

Looking over, the two superheroes spotted a blonde female, her hands on her hips.

“But could you please… Unravel him? I sort of need him to help me fight.” She continued.

Help you fight? ” Ladybug gaped. “You shouldn’t be fighting anything! You’re in danger here, you need to go find a safe place to hide until Chat Noir and I can de-akumatize her.”

A snort from next them broke the glaring contest Ladybug was having with the blonde. “We know all about danger. Been there, done that.”

Percy. ” The girl hissed.

That’s when Ladybug noticed. “Hey, you guys are the foreigners- I mean people I’ve never seen before! Eheh…”

That was close. She almost gave away her identity with that phrase. She had only met them briefly, earlier at the bakery. But as Marinette. Not as Ladybug.

Ignoring the looks both the foreigners and her partner was giving her, she feigned a cough and gestured for them to continue.

“What do you mean you have experience with danger? You don’t include yourselves in akuma attacks a lot, do you?” Chat Noir asked.

The couple shook their heads as Ladybug released her yoyo from the boy.

“Not at all.” Said the blonde.

“Is that what they’re called?” The dark-haired male asked. “Akumas?”

Ladybug and Chat Noir nodded. “Yes. Akumas are made by Hawkmoth, Paris’s personal bad guy, to get mine and Chat’s miraculous, the things that give us our powers.” Ladybug explained.

“Oh! You guys must be the Ladybug and Chat Noir duo we heard about earlier!” The dark-haired male exclaimed.

The superhero duo nodded again.

“Yes, that’s us. We’re the superheroes and protectors of Paris.”

The blonde nodded. “That makes sense. We heard your names while going through the museum earlier. I’m Annabeth, and this idiot here is my fianc é, Percy.

Percy grinned. “Nice to meet ya, now, maybe we should quit chatting, and figure out how to defeat that thing, cause it’s coming right for us.”

Ladybug and Chat Noir simultaneously glanced over to where Percy was pointing.

Chat jumped in front of the group and spun his baton, blocking the attack Keyper sent their way.

“Get them out of here, m’lady, I’ll watch your backs.” Chat said, finally getting serious.

“We’re not defenseless you know! We know how to protect ourselves. We’ve done it for decades now.” Percy exclaimed. “We’re not going anywhere.”

Annabeth laid a hand on Percy’s arm. “Perce, remember how Riptide when through her. How are we supposed to help if our weapons do nothing?” She asked quietly.

That got him to shut up. “Right… But I still want to help! I don’t just want to sit around and do nothing.”

Chat Noir spun his baton again to deflect another attack. “Who even are you guys if you’re used to stuff like this?”

Percy and Annabeth shared a look, communicating silently through their looks before Annabeth gave him a small nod.

Percy looked back over at the superhero duo and took in a deep breath. “Okay, so this is gonna sound a little far-fetched, but I promise it’s the truth. We’re demigods. We both have one godly parent, mine is Posiedon, Annabeth’s is Athena, and one human parent.”

Ladybug just stared at them before bursting out into giggles. “Yeah right! Demigods? What kind of- Oh. You’re serious. Okay, well uh… How do we know you’re telling the truth?”

Percy just knelt down on the ground after sheathing Riptide, and placed a palm on the floor, closing his eyes in concentration.

“What are you doin-” Annabeth shot a glare over at Chat Noir, who was glancing over his shoulder at the man, making him yelp.

A moment later, a burst of water shot up in front of Chat, separating him from the next blast sent his way from Keyper.

That’s how you know we’re telling the truth.” Percy said, standing back up.

Ladybug paled and only nodded her head. “Okay. I guess it’s not too far-fetched, if we have magical beings that give us powers, for demigods to exist.”

Ladybug looked back over at the akuma, who after getting sprayed in the face with water, had twirled around and stomped away angrily muttering to herself  “I don’t care if they have the miraculous. I’ll get them later. For now I’m going to get full access. See who gets fired now.”

“Do you guys know what she’s after?” Ladybug asked. “We arrived after her little speech.”

Annabeth nodded. “She called herself ‘Keyper’ and started spouting some sort of nonsense about being fired and not having access.”

Ladybug nodded slowly in response. “Okay, I have an idea, but first-” She threw her yoyo up in the air, “Lucky charm!”

From seemingly nowhere, a red and black spotted plastic card fell into Ladybug’s awaiting hands.

“Huh. I don’t think my lucky charms have ever been so blatanly obvious.” She muttered under her breath.

Chat only raised an eyebrow as he leaned on his baton, no longer having to worry about protecting them from Keyper’s attacks. “I don’t quite understand.”

Percy nodded. “Me neither.” The son of Posiedon added.

“Ugh, boys.” Ladybug and Annabeth both muttered in unison, making the two stare at each other before letting out a small, breathless giggle.

“It’s an all access card.” Annabeth pointed out. “Keyper was talking about wanting complete access to the museum, with this, she can have that.”

Ladybug nodded. “Exactly. Now we just gotta figure out how to attract her attention and get her akuma off her.” She looked over at Annabeth and Percy and asked, “Did either of you happen to see an object that she may have had before getting akumatized? Somewhere the akuma could be hiding?”

Percy shook his head, but Annabeth started going through all the information in her head.

“Actually…” She begun, “I think she was wearing this lanyard before she transformed, and now she was this black necklace that looks just like it.”

“That’s gotta be it.” Ladybug replied, hand on her chin as she thought.

Looking around, Ladybug’s vision went white and black as she tried to determine how to best defeat the akuma.

“What are you-” Percy started before getting shushed by Chat Noir.

“Don’t bother her. She’s trying to figure out how to stop Keyper. Her powers, and brilliantly smart mind, allow her to look at different objects and determine which would be the most useful.” Chat explained.

Percy nodded in understanding. “Ah. This girl,” he said, pointing with his thumb over at Annabeth, “Is almost the same. She doesn’t have powers, but she’s crazy smart.”

“I hope you know that’s not a compliment, coming from you.” Annabeth retorted.

Percy only stuck his tongue out at her. “You love me anyways.”

Annabeth grumbled something about how that had nothing to do with what they were talking about before getting interrupted by Ladybug exclaiming, “Got it!”

Turning to the two demigods she said, “We’re going to get Keyper up to the Pyramid du Louvre. There’s beams in the cieling that we’ll get on and lure Keyper with the card up there. We’ll then need to break one of the panes- don’t worry,” she added when Annabeth gave her an astonished look, “my miraculous ladybugs will fix any damage caused by us and the akuma after I purify the akuma, so it’ll be brand new afterwards- and proceed to lure her to the top of the pyramid.”

She turned to Chat Noir now. “Chat, you’ll come with us up to the beams, but then I’m going to need you to stay in the shadows. We’re gonna knock Keyper down whatever hole we make, and I’m going to need you to extend your baton and snatch her lanyard on her way down. Got it?”

Chat nodded. “Of course, m’lady! That plan sounds like a key-per.” He said with a wink.

Ladybug rolled her eyes before turning towards the stairs. “Alright, let’s move.” She glanced over at Chat Noir and nodded.
