Work Text:
“He’s prettier than any girl I’ve ever seen,” Dream said, completely unprompted.
Sapnap turned to him with a confused, flustered expression. “Huh?”
“Sap.” Dream frowns. “You were staring at him.”
Sapnap flushed harder, squirming uncomfortably in his seat.
“Don’t get embarrassed, Idiot. Everyone stares at him. Guys, girls, no matter who they fancy, everyone just . . . stares. I mean, how could you not?” Dream chuckled, taking a sip of his cheap beer.
George is talking to some girl in the corner of the house, her bright red hair tightly curled and her coat draped off her shoulders. She was pretty but standing next to George Davidson, anyone would pale in comparison. He was leaning against the wall on his elbow, effortlessly smooth, watching her lips as she spoke like it was the most interesting conversation he had ever had when in reality he was likely bored to death of her. Sapnap watched his mouth quirk up into a smile, and then, George leaned in to kiss the girl.
Sapnap averted his gaze immediately, feeling a flash of jealousy rush through him. There was no reason to be jealous really, he barely knew the brunette. He'd only met him through Dream a few months back, yet he couldn't help falling for him. He's a damn angel.
“I think it’s impossible to not fall for him a bit,” Dream spoke up again. “I don’t swing that way -- toward idiotic boys like him -- but Sap . . . he's just different. I don't think I've ever seen someone like him before. Even Karl can't compare and I've been with him for years.” The blonde sighs. Sapnap wonders if he's just envious of the boy, how couldn't he be. George Davidson was absolutely smitten.
Sapnap nodded. “I know what you mean. It’s hard to explain, but . . . In a way I do understand.”
The blonde nudged Sapnap with his elbow, and he looked up, seeing George approaching their table.
“Ditched your little friend so soon?” Dream asked teasingly.
George chuckled, shaking his head. “Friend? I’d barely call her an acquaintance.” He plopped down in the seat beside Sapnap -- far too close to be comfortable. He feels the heat radiating off the boy and wants to consume it. He wants to touch the brunette, hold him, anything. He just needs it. He's being selfish, he's completely aware, but he doesn't care. Anyone would feel the same way if they were sat so closely to such an angelic being.
It astounded him how little such intimate moments meant to George. How he could kiss women without even knowing their names, then turn on his heel and forget them in moments. He wondered if the brunette had ever kissed another man. Did he just turn away the same way? Or did he stay? His gaze traveled over the other man’s features, noticing the red stain around George's lips. That pulled him out of his mind, and he couldn’t help but giggle.
“What’s so funny, Nicky?” George asked, quirking a curious brow. Nobody had ever called him by his first name. It was always a dumb nickname he'd made up years ago. But no, George just had to be different. He was always craving attention but Sapnap didn't mind. The boy deserved it. He was fucking immaculate. Everything about him was so perfect. He was art at it's finest.
“You have, uhm . . . she . . .” Sapnap pointed.
“She gave you a makeover, Davidson!” Dream joked, leaning across the table to clap George on the shoulder.
George's thin fingers reached up to touch his lips, furrowing his brows. “Shit.” He picked up a strayed napkin from the tabletop and wiped it across his mouth. His beautiful pink and plump lips . . . Sapnap finds himself entranced in the boy before he mentally slaps himself for thinking such thoughts.
“Still there,” Sapnap points out.
George huffed, wiping again.
“Just give me,” Sapnap sighed, taking the napkin and leaning in to wipe the faint red mark off George's top lip, unable to keep himself from staring into the deep brown eyes as he did so.
And if Sapnap didn’t know any better, he would say that George's cheeks flushed slightly.
“All gone,” he whispered.
“Thanks, Nicky,” George said, pulling his face away and averting his eyes back to the group of dancers in the middle of the living room.
Dream cleared his throat. “Before Geo gets swept away by another girl, let’s go. Karl's out with his friends, we got the dorm to ourselves.”
George stood without a word, grinning.
The walk back to dorm rooms was mostly quiet, aside from Dream telling stories. Although Sapnap had wanted to hate him, he had to admit; Dream knew how to keep an audience captivated with his words.
Fumbling with the key, Dream pushed open the door, and George immediately made himself at home, flopping down onto the couch with a sigh.
“Tired, Geo?” Dream asked, amusement lacing his tone.
“Not at all,” George replied. “Just bored.”
“Bored?" Dream gasped. "You wound me, dude.”
“Not my fault all your stories sound the same, Kerouac,” George replied.
With a gasp of feigned offense, Dream was quickly jumping onto the couch to start tickling George's sides in playful revenge.
Sapnap, who had silently taken a seat on an armchair, watched the scene before him with a grin. George's laugh was definitely one of his favorite sounds. It was completely uncharacteristic: high-pitched, giggly, and uncontrollable, while the brunette himself came off as cool and collected to most.
Sapnap felt special, knowing he saw more of him.
George's feet kicked against the cushions, giggles filling the room. “Fuck you!” he managed to spit out, one hand attempting the push Dream away.
“Sorry Geo, I’m taken,” Dream replied, squeezing at the other man’s hips, making his laughter kick up a couple notches.
“Nicky! Help me!” George whined.
“I don’t think I should get involved,” Sapnap replied innocently. “Plus, this is very entertaining to watch.”
George looked even more beautiful when he laughed if that was even possible. His eyes crinkled at the corners, his cheeks turned pink, and his mouth fell open in a permanent smile.
When Dream finally backed off, George's hair was wildly messy, and he immediately curled into a ball to catch his breath, making Dream laugh.
“You’re lucky I don’t have the energy to exact my revenge,” George said, pointing a threatening finger at Dream.
Dream only grinned back.
--
George didn’t forget things.
So, needless to say, next time they wound up together in Dream's living room, accompanied by Karl this time, George wrestled Dream back against the couch and tickled his ribs until he called for mercy.
“I told you I would have my revenge!” George said, eyes glinting with mischief.
Karl scoffed, but there was a certain fondness in his eyes as he rolled them.
Sapnap watched the way George practically straddled Dream's lap, their faces so close, hands all over one another. He almost longed to take Dream's place, even if it meant laughing like an idiot.
However, he didn’t have to want for much longer.
-
“Are you ticklish, Nicky?”
George's voice came out in a purr, a smirk dancing on his lips.
Sapnap's cheeks flushed embarrassingly red. “I assume no matter what I say, you’re going to test it anyway,” he replied.
“So smart.”
Sapnap couldn’t have contained his giggling if he tried, George's fingers dancing over his stomach delicately. If the chestnut haired boy was honest, it wasn’t the way he imagined George getting on top of him in bed, but he wasn’t exactly complaining. It was better than nothing, after all.
They were alone for once, in George's dorm room. What started as a normal conversation had quickly turned into George pinning him back against the bed, making Sapnap blush for one hundred reasons. And then, he was laughing, and George was laughing along with him.
It almost sounded like a song.
“Gogy, please!”
“Please what?”
“Cut it out!”
“Full sentences, Nicky. God, what kind of writer are you?”
“Please stop tickling me!” Sapnap pleas, yet craves just a bit longer. He wants the other's fingers traveling along his body. Making him completely and utterly theirs.
“Alright, but only because you asked so nicely.”
Sapnap's eyes had been squeezed shut as he laughed, but he opened them to find George's smiling face inches from his. He was angelic, and Sapnap's breath -- that he had just got back, mind you -- hitches in his throat.
“You’re adorable,” George said softly.
“I’m not,” Sapnap replied, feigning annoyance although at this moment he wanted to melt beneath the brunette's gentle touch.
“You are.”
And before Sapnap could say another word, George was laying down in the bed beside him. "Making you laugh like crazy is exhausting work,” he said. “If you want to, you can stay.”
Sapnap didn’t say anything, and he didn’t move. He didn’t trust himself to do either.
“Just don’t hog the blanket,” George added, turning onto his side.
Sapnap mirrored him, and, taking a risk, moved closer, wrapping an arm around George's waist.
“Night, Nicky,” George muttered, fluttering his lids shut
“Goodnight,” Sapnap replied, barely a whisper.
--
Sapnap decided to seize the opportunity of a lifetime.
George was still asleep, though sometime in the night he rolled onto his back, his t-shirt pushed up and revealing a strip of bare skin above his boxers.
Sapnap had woken up just minutes ago and felt guilty admitting he had just stared at his sleeping friend for a bit. How was he supposed to resist? George's beauty could be sensed by the blind.
He reached out with tentative fingers, just barely brushing his skin.
Almost immediately, George twitched but remained asleep.
He had seen Dream bring George nearly to tears by tickling his hips, and Sapnap envied him for it. How it must feel to have George Davidson completely helpless beneath your hands.
Apparently, Sapnap was going to find out.
As his fingers explored, Sapnap watched George's reactions. The more pressure he applied, the more the brunette seemed to move. An experimental squeeze to his hip was what seemed to wake him though, hand grabbing Sapnap's wrist so suddenly it startled him.
“Knock it off,” George whined, rolling onto his side again.
“Full sentences, Geo,” Sapnap replied teasingly, squeezing at his hip again.
Giggles came immediately, and he could listen to that sound forever. From day to night. Hours on end. He wanted that sound to be meant and caused by him, only him. Only ever him.
“You’re mean,” George said through tired giggles.
“I’m just returning the favor.”
How Dream did this without leaning down to capture George's laughing lips on his own, Sapnap had no idea. He was so tempted, in fact, that he had to stop himself before he really did. Although George hadn’t called for mercy -- which he rarely seemed to, now that Sapnap thought about it -- his fingers stopped and pulled away from his soft skin.
George panted, pushing his hair out of his eyes with one hand. “That was an unnecessarily cruel wake-up call,” he said, eyes bright and cheeks pink, disheveled and oh so beautiful. Sapnap swallowed, his mouth suddenly dry and his head suddenly dizzy. He didn’t respond, just staring down at the crumpled sheets.
And then George was moving closer, resting his head in Sapnap's lap. “That was fun,” he said. “Maybe I should have you sleep over more, huh?”
Sapnap shrugged, for once in his life, lost for words.
George leaned up, bringing their faces to close, just like the night in the bar. “You make me smile like no one else, Nicky.”
“I’m glad,” Sapnap finally mustered the ability to speak. “Your smile should have poems dedicated to it.”
“Kiss me.” George whispers and Sapnap has to hold back a gasp. He closes the distance further. “Kiss me Nick. Please.” His eyes are hopeful. Sapnap had never kissed anyone before, let alone a male.
“I --” But before he can get his utterance out George is straddling his lap and kissing him deeply. So deeply that Sapnap can't help but wonder whether or not he's dreaming.
George pulls away a moment later. “You okay?” He flushes at Sapnap's shocked expression.
“Yeah, just --” he chokes out.
“Surprised?” George giggles.
“Surprised.” Sapnap agreed.
--
The two cuddled the rest of the night, talking about anything and everything.
“George?”
“Hm?” The brunette cards his slim fingers through Sapnap's hair.
“Has anyone ever told you how beautiful you are?”
“They have, but I don't take it to account all too often.”
Sapnap lifts his head from the other's chest to look him in the eyes. “Why not? You're quite literally perfect. Someone should dedicate a poem to you.”
George flushes slightly, pecking Sapnap on the cheek. “Why don't you?”
And Sapnap did, that afternoon when he returned to his room, but scrapped it. No words could describe a bit of George Davidson. They would always fall short, as the boy was one of the most angelic pieces of work. No words would ever meet up to his perfection. But Sapnap wouldn't mind trying his absolute best . . . Because in the end, he was all George Davidson’s no matter the situation, no matter the circumstances. He would give his all to that boy and he prayed that one day the brunette may be able to say the exact same thing about him . . .
