Bakugou Katsuki was the captain of The Skeld , and he was dedicated to the ship and his crew.
In his own wisecrack opinion, Katsuki would say that he’s the greatest fucking captain this ship had ever seen. Nobody did more to make sure that his crew was happy, healthy, and fed.
The only bad thing about his space excursions being that the newcomers to his ship never really lasted long. Katsuki couldn’t say that he cared? His main crew always kept his ship running, and if they lost the newbies, then who was he to care.
Flying the ship was taxing, and after a couple of hours of the mind-numbing task, Katsuki flipped open the Navigation panel. Punching a couple of buttons, and after inputting the complicated passcode that he was forcibly given, Katsuki put the ship on autopilot.
Leaning back, the blond closed his burning eyes for a couple of seconds. Sleep wasn’t even something that he tried to get. Being a space, the concept of time wasn’t real, and on the rare times that Katsuki felt a feeling of tiredness… he would definitely take those chances to catch a couple of winks of sleep.
Pressing the com on the neck of his suit.
“My eyes are closed...So leave me the fuck alone until they open again. Got it?” Katsuki barked. After a short chorus of acknowledgment to his satisfaction. The blond decided it was okay to drift away…
Not too long after Katsuki had closed his eyes for some shut-eye, the door behind him shifted with a click. Hearty footsteps clicked and Katsuki felt rough fingers poke at him.
“Katsuki.”
Of course his idiots would bother him now...At least they sent Eijirou to bother him.
Kirishima Eijirou could be described as Katsuki’s right hand. If there was anyone on this ship that could convince the blond to do anything? It was him.
“No. My eyes are closed, and that means you and the rest of you fucks have to leave me the hell alone.”
“Come on…Please! We’re hungry!”
Oh, you have GOT to be kidding me. Opening his eyes, Katsuki stared at the red eyes much like his own. Why did his crew always get hungry at the most inconvenient times? They were patient with all the other shit in the world but he put the words “wait” and “food” in the same sentence. Katsuki learned that he was the evilest person.
“Eiji why the fuck can’t y’all eat the leftovers?” Katsuki groaned.
“Mina ate them all last night.”
Katsuki’s eyes bore into Eijirou. Was he really fucking serious? Katsuki knew he was gonna ream into her ass about that. It was always Mina’s greedy ass fucking up the rations that Katsuki made for them. Katsuki just knew the corporation was gonna be pissed when they landed at HQ.
“Y’know what? Fine. I’m gonna do this. You can fly the ship after, and I’m locking myself in my room to sleep.” Katsuki chuffed before pulling himself out of his comfy chair. Walking down the hall with Kirishima following close behind. The redhead was much like a big puppy would at the idea of getting a treat.
The two walked down the hallway, Bakugou could hear Kirishima calling the others who were hungry so they could all meet in Admin. The newer members of the crew didn’t need to be involved.
Mina Ashido, Sero Hanta, Kaminari Denki, and Kirishima Eijirou were the self-proclaimed Bakusquad. As much as Bakugou couldn’t stand them and their antics… He didn’t mind them too much. One by one they all filed into Admin and everyone sat down, Denki being the one to close and lock the door.
Sighing, Bakugou pointed at a tired Mina.
“What the hell Raccoon Eyes? This isn’t even the first time you’ve eaten all the leftovers. You’re eating last.” Bakugou spoke dryly as Mina frowned. She knew not to argue with their blond captain about this.
“Sooo….Can I pick who we’re gonna eat this time!” Kaminari perked up. Smiling as if he hadn’t just spoken about choosing someone to murder.
“Come on Kat, I wanna pick. The last time Denki chose someone we had to kill another person right after so that I could eat.” Hanta groaned. Internally Katsuki knew the raven-haired man was right.
If it wasn’t obvious… Katsuki’s beloved squad were all imposters. The only one who wasn't Katsuki. Which has definitely resulted in a very weird dynamic. The blond knew that the four could easily turn onto him, but Katsuki knew how to keep them at bay.
Choosing to not murder them however was very difficult. Katsuki chose to pretend like he didn’t remember what his actual friends were like. Maybe the trauma of their deaths made him as sick and twisted as the imposters in front of him.
Regardless, Katsuki watched as the idiots in front of him debated who was going to pick which of the crew Katsuki could kill for them so they could all eat.
“Oi Oi!” The blond chimed above the crew. The four instantly shutting up from their bickering and looked with intent to hear what their captain had decided.
“Rikidou Sato is literally the beefiest man on this ship. Like out of all the people that have come on MY ship you idiots don’t see the obvious fucking answer.” Katsuki remarked, shaking his head.
Mina in response squealed. The boys grinning in response, and Katsuki knew that they were all on board. Getting out of his seat, Bakugou crouched down and over so he could access the locked cabinet drawer under the table.
Punching in his code to the drawer, it popped open with a hiss and Katsuki felt a smirk etch onto his face. Holding his favorite gun, Katsuki looked up at Kirishima and the others.
“Cut the lights.”
Rikidou was not the bravest soul on this ship compared to others. So when Captain Bakugou asked him to fix the lights in Electric...he was nervous. Usually, the captain would ask Kirishima to fix it. Rikidou was okay with fixing the lights no issue! He trusted the Captain, and if fixing the lights was what the man wanted, he would tough it out.
Pushing the door to Electric open, Rikidou had to feel around for the panel. Pulling the panel open, the room was filled with flashing red lights.
God, Rikidou just wanted to get out of there.
Flipping the various switches, he heard the shift of the door to Electric opening behind him. Who could that be?
BANG!
Rikidou’s eyes widened with shock. What the fuck? The feeling of pain rushed through his body, and he wasn’t sure what happened.
Had he just been shot?
BANG!
A strangled noise escaped his mouth, and as Rikidou coughed blood spewed from his lips. Turning his body, Rikidou found himself surrounded by the Captain and... imposters?
Rikidou couldn’t help but scream. Oh god. The rest of the crew was fucked. The man tried to pull his hands around himself as Bakugou raised his gun at him again.
BANG!
God...why him? Rikidou thought to himself. As his body slid in pain, the Captain came up to him, kneeling as if to say something.
“Nothing personal Satou...really.” Bakugou frowned at him, and Rikidou watched as Bakugou pressed the gun in his hand to Rikidou’s head. Blood rushed to his ears and he was overwhelmed with fear.
Before the Captain had even pulled the gunshot Rikidou remembered the pounding of his own heartbeat and the giggles and laughter of joy that sounded in the face of his own death.
Bakugou Katsuki was the captain of The Skeld, and he was dedicated to the ship and his crew.
