Chloe, Nino, Alix and Kim could not stop laughing on the way to Tim and Marinette’s house. The reactions of the class after Lila’s pathetic lies had been revealed were hilarious. Once they reached their street, Tim greeted them with a "Did you get a recording?”
They nodded enthusiastically. Chloe cackled evilly and said “The sheep were ready to burn her on the stake!”
Tim grinned at them and gestured inside. “Come on, send it to me and we’ll put it on the TV,”
After calling Marinette, the 6 of them (Max and Sabrina had to leave), watched the video.
[Right after Marinette has dragged Tim home]
Alya: What. The. Hell? Maribrat married Timothy Drake-Wayne?
Lila *theatrically whispers* : Oh my gosh guys! What if she’s blackmailing him? He could get hurt!
Rose is so confused right now. Didn’t Lila say she was almost besties with Timothy Drake’s wife?
Rose: Lila, didn’t you say you were friends with his wife?
Juleka: Yeah Lila, didn’t you say she was so sweet?
Adrien: Now guys, I’m sure it was just a misunderstanding-
Ivan: How could you be friends with your bully?
Mylene: Were you lying to us?
Chloe *cackles*: The sheep are finally using their brains.
Max: There is a 99.9% that the class will realize Lie-la has been lying to them in the next 10 minutes.
Lila *crying fake tears*: No! How could you possibly think that?
Mylene: But you said you were best friends with her. And today you called Marinette a bully. This doesn’t make sense.
Alya: Lila wouldn’t lie to us, right Lila?
Lila *nods*: Of course not! You guys are my friends!
Alix: Then how do you idiots explain the fact that Mari is Tim’s wife and Lila is her best friend?
[Cue class slowly coming to the realization that Lila was lying]
Kim *doubles over laughing*: Oh. My. God. Your expressions…
Lila looks like a deer caught in headlights. This was not supposed to happen! Maribrat was supposed to be miserable! She was NOT supposed to marry a Wayne!
Adrien *looking meaningfully at Lila*: Now guys, let’s not be hasty…I’m sure Lila has an explanation.
Lila *glares at him*: Umm…yeah! Timmy is cheating on his wife! His wife is someone else. Not Marinette!
[Juleka and Rose currently hold the class’ collective one brain cell]
Rose: But you said you and Tim were super close! You said you would know if he was lying! How did you not realize?
Juleka: And you also said he was the most honest person you had ever met. How could you say something like that about your friend?
Alix *laughs mockingly*: Yeah Lila, what do you have to say now?
Lila *starting to freak out*: Ummm….
Alya: Lay off guys! There’s no need to be mean.
Marinette said, “Oh Alya, the saviour of the liar.”
Nino cackled at her. “Wait and watch dudette, wait and watch.”
Still Alya: I’m sure Lila can explain right?
"Or maybe not.” Corrected Marinette.
Chloe snorted. “Watch ahead. She’s going to-mmph.”
Marinette had covered her mouth with her hand. “Don’t spoil it for me Chlo.”
Chloe raised her arms in surrender.
[Cue Lila really starting to panic]
Lila: I…uhm…uhh
Ivan: Oh my god Lila, you were actually lying weren’t you?
Nino *laughs*: The dudes are figuring it out!
Lila *fumbling for an answer*: Guys…
Mylene *eyes fill with tears*: How could you do that? We trusted you!
Rose *also crying*: I can’t believe you did that!
Juleka *glares*: Yeah Lila. And if you can lie so easily to us about this, then how can we know if you haven’t lied before?
Kim *rolls his eyes at them*: Then why don’t you idiots check?
Adrien *stares at him disapprovingly*: Kim. Stop it.
[Cue Alya, Ivan and Juleka pulling out their phones and checking Lie-la’s stories]
Alya *paling*: There’s…nothing here. Nothing except for the Ladyblog.
Juleka *sniffling*: It says Marinette married Tim Drake a few years ago.
Ivan *blinking at the screen*: An interview says Jagged Stone is allergic to fur. So Lila, how did you save his kitten?
Lila is unable to find an answer, while Alya is frantically searching for Lila’s great adventures. At least ONE has to be true right?? But nooo, the only result is the Ladyblog. Every. Single. Goddamn. Time.
Alya.exe has stopped working.
“Wait for it…”
Alya.exe has rebooted. Alya.exe is pissed. Alya.exe is ready to murder Lie-la Agreste nee Rossi.
Alya *shouting*: LILA YOU (insert extremely offensive word here), HOW COULD YOU? I TRUSTED YOU AND EVERYTHING YOU SAY IS A LIE? A GODDAMN LIE?
[Cue everyone adding their own parts]
Rose *with tears in her eyes*: YOU’RE PROBABLY WHY KING ALI CUT OFF TIES WITH ME-
Mylene *openly sobbing*: I CAN’T BELIEVE YOU, BECAUSE OF YOU I NEVER BECAME AN ACTRESS-
Alya *still yelling and advancing on Lila*: -ITCH! MY WHOLE GODDAMN CAREER IS DOOMED BECAUSE OF YOU! NO WONDER LOIS LANE HATED THE LADYBLOG. BECAUSE EVERYTHING POSTED ON IT WAS A LIE! MY VIEWERS CAME AND LEFT! I LOST VIEWERS BECAUSE OF YOU!
Marinette and Tim laughed themselves breathless. Marinette giggled out “Oh my kwami, I can’t freaking breath. What happens next?”
Lila is afraid of the former students of Ms. Bustier. The teacher herself is of no help. She seems to have left already.
Lila *finally comes up with an idea*: WAIT…Adrien knew I was lying…
Max *snorts*: There was a 100% chance that Lila would divert the blame on someone else. However, in this case it is deserved.
Nino *glares at Adrien*: Yeah. Agreste knew about it ALL the time and still didn’t say anything.
Alix *mocks*: “Because her lies weren’t hurting anyone.” Right Agreste?
[Cue the class rounding up on him]
Alya *glaring at him*: YOU KNEW? YOU KNEW THIS WHOLE TIME SHE WAS LYING TO US? AND YOU DIDN’T SAY ANYTHING TO US FOR YEARS? ARE YOU INSANE?
Ivan & Juleka *looking at him in disappointment*: I can’t believe it.
Adrien is annoyed. The peace in the class has been destroyed just because Lila couldn’t check her story. Certainly not because he didn’t call her out years ago. But he can’t say that.
Adrien *weakly*: She wasn’t hurting anyone…
Alya.exe has stopped working.
Kim *pissed*: Wasn’t hurting anyone? Wasn’t hurting anyone?? What about Marinette, Agreste? What about her? Don’t you think it wouldn’t have hurt her to see her friends bully her, you oblivious idiot?
Juleka *glares*: What about our careers? Our dreams are ruined because we believed her!
Alya.exe has rebooted.
Alya.exe is going to murder Adrien Agreste.
Alya *yelling at his face*: WASN’T HURTING ANYONE? HOW NAIVE COULD YOU BE YOU SON OF A-
Rose *whimpers*: What about Marinette? She tried to tell us so many times.
Mylene: Oh my gosh we have to apologize. Maybe she can help us with her connections…
Alya *spins around*: Mari I am so, so sorry…where is Mari?
“Now they remember Bean.” scoffed Tim. “When they need her to help them.”
Marinette glared at the screen determinedly. “I am not going to give them the time of my day. They can go back to how they were for all I care.”
Chloe *scoffs*: Now you remember Mari. When you need something.
Nino: Go learn the consequences of your actions dudes.
Alix: Mari isn’t gonna talk to you.
Kim *smirks*: And for the record. Only her friends are allowed to call her Mari. Not you.
[Cue them sashaying out dramatically leaving the rest of the class behind. Jaws agape. Because really. What can they say to that? It’s true anyway.]
*End of the recording*
The six young-adults laughed their heads off at the class - or flock - of sheep.
Marinette grinned at them “That. Was amazing. Like really.”
Chloe smiled at her - a real one, mind you. “Glad you liked it Mari.”
“But…you’re going to have to leave because someone is going to bed right. Now.” said Marinette, an abrupt change.
Tim whined. “Mariiiiii you can’t just kick the guests out like that. Right guys?” he asked, looking at them for support.
The other four adults grinned at him. That was not good. “Actually dude,” said Nino. “We have to leave right now. After all, we wouldn’t want you to lose sleep would we?” he smirked.
Tim’s face fell. “And piss off Mari.” muttered Kim. “which you seem to have done.”
The last thing they heard before they left was Tim’s whining at being pulled off to bed.
