Work Text:
The sunlight cast golden rays on the untouched books Camilla was supposedly studying.
The weak Hampden sun was setting and there were scarcely any students in the library- one of them being Judy Poovery, who had barely even looked at the library till recently. Recently, that's when everything had shifted- for better or for worse was still an unanswered question.
The questioning, the tears restraint to be shed privately and all of the secrecy, it might have been enough to deter Judy.
But moments like these- Camilla's cold, soft lips pressed on hers, stainted by her sticky lipgloss, her hands in the short golden curls, breaking away for breath to drink in Camilla's lazy expression of drunken desire. That was it. That's what it all was really for. They were in there own world, obscured from outside view by shelves of books.
Yet it was a fleeting universe that caved in as the night progressed. Then it was back to the empty dorm room. Back to a drunk Charles. Their world together was to expendable by circumstance.
But it didn't stop either of them.
