It was another day during their adventure in Kalos. Ash and friends enroute to his next gym were setting up a camp. Clemont was cooking dinner and Serena was helping him out.
Bonnie on the other hand was checking out Ash's rotom phone/pokedex. She was reading about some local pokemon when Rotom suddenly glitched and-
"Wow so pretty!!! Who is this girl, Rotom?" Bonnie asked curiously.
"Oh that's a pokemon trainer. Just. Like. Ash." Rotom replied in a deadpan tone.
"Really? Wish I knew where she is....She must be a keeper!!" Bonnie exclaimed.
"Actually you can just ask Ash. He knows everything" Rotom was trying not to giggle by now, not that Bonnie noticed.
Bonnie ran across the field where dinner was being set up to Ash who was training with Pikachu and Ash-Greninja.
"Hey Ash!!! Can you come over for a sec?" Bonnie asked, waving at him.
Ash walked over to them, Pikachu and Ash-Greninja following him along as she almost shoved Rotom phone in his face.
"Who is the blondie, Ash? She looks cute! Where did you meet her?" Bonnie barraged question after question not noticing Ash's internal struggle. Serena who had come over in curiosity certainly did.
Ash first blanched completely. Then his face took on a reddish hue and he started sputtering in embarrassment.
Ash-Greninja who shared a mental link with him sensed pretty much everything froze in shock. Pikachu who had climbed onto Ash's shoulder started giggling.
Serena saw how uncomfortable he looked and admonished Bonnie. "Bonnie, you are troubling Ash. Ash, what's bothering you?" She added the question, concerned about him.
Bonnie showed the photo to Serena. Serena, the girl who recognised Ash from her childhood by watching live TV, immediately recognised the trainer in the orange frock with a pink bow in his blond wig.
Rotom buzzed and various other photos started showing up. A lovely brunette standing near a house, a cute maid and a pink haired girl in a blue ballgown showed up. All of them recognisable as one and the same.
"What?" is all Serena managed to ask before Rotom started explaining.
"This is Ashley and-" Ash muted Rotom at once but it was too late as both girls had definitely heard his alias.
"Ashley? Ash do you have a sister by any chance? Now that Rotom mentioned her name, you two do look very similar" Bonnie gushed.
Serena started snickering a bit at Bonnie's obliviousness and Ash looked hurt complete with a 'betrayed-by-a-friend' face.
Serena's eyes twinkled with mischief and she turned to Rotom.
"Oh, he looks so cute!!! Rotom, I want copies of all the photos, now!!"
Rotom who had managed to un-mute itself replied with a "Roger, ma'am".
Ash clutched his pokedex tighter in his hand. Bonnie abruptly realised that she almost tried to matchmake Ash, sweet dense oblivious Ash, with her brother. She smirked, wanting some of the photos for herself.
"Pikachu, throw Rotom here, now!!" she shouted as Pikachu smacked his trainer's hand with his tail. Ash's grip on Rotom phone loosened and Pikachu batted it straight to Serena.
Bonnie only now registering the sheer ridiculousness of the situation started laughing and Pikachu joined in with her, sharing the same opinion. Using Ash's distraction as he half-glared at them both, Serena promptly started to bolt out.
A few tense seconds later,
Ash was chasing Serena as she ran for the hills, Greninja was still a stone statue, Bonnie and Pikachu were giggling uncontrollably and Clemont continued cooking dinner, oblivious to the chaos beyond.
