Tensei’s body had been shaking, his arms only stabilized by his grip on Tenya. He’d closed his eyes, pressing his cheek against the top of Tenya’s head. “I love you,” he’d whispered. “So, so much. And I want you to know you can always come talk to me about anything. I do not care if you think it’s silly or stupid or strange,” he kissed the spot his cheek had been sitting in, petting Tenya’s hair back down when a gentle current rippled it up. “I want you to know you can always tell me anything.”
